Widget kit not working for joomla 1. 7 - joomla

I have a joomla 1. 7 website and I have installed a widget kit for displaying a slider with buttons on it. It works fine in the backend, however it does not display on the site.
Is there a reason why widget kit is not compatible with Joomla 1. 7?

Without any details at all, I'd suggest a possible conflict with you chosen joomla template and javascript library(s) like jquery or mootools.
Try one of the simple templates that came with your joomla installation and see if the problem on the front end persists.

Widget Kit is compatible with Joomla 1.7, however as Grag P said, it might possibly be a conflict with another extension using Jquery.
Use Firebug and look at the scripts being loaded in the <head> tags and see if there are 2 Jquery libraries being loaded.
If so then the 2nd one is most likely coming from your template in which case go to your template manager and see if there is an option to turn off Jquery, else if its coming from another extension, try disabling it and seeing if this solves the problem.
Also make sure you have the most up-to-date version of widget kit as Yootheme have brought out a lot of updates in the last 2 months.

Migrating "bootstrap-touch-slider.js" to joomla

Hi I am migrating my html bootstrap site to joomla 3. So far things are looking good. I am using the bootstrap touch slider in my html version which works fine and I am stuck how to move it to Joomla. Is there any way to do this or do I need to use/buy a slider module extension?THANK YOU!
The best thing is to create your own module and embed slider js in, otherwise you can try to modify the present one. In both cases if you have never done one before you is suit buy the extension you found.

Drupal , something wrong with ajax popup forms, how to fix?

I have site with Drupal 7, Colorbox and Webform modules. I use it like it
<a class="colorbox-node" href="/node/25?width=600&height=400">Call me</a>
The problem is, when my form popped up i see error message: "This form could not be submitted because $_POST was truncated to 115 input vars. PHP max_input_vars is 3000 and needs to be increased." I tried to make it - 10000, but no success. And one more i have another site on that hosting, with the same logic but no problem there. What should i check?

I encountered this problem with the Modal forms (with ctools) module as well. I upgraded to the latest dev version of Webform (Feb 19, 2015) and that resolved the issue. This item from the issue queue discusses the cause and fix included that release:
https://www.drupal.org/node/2417757
Which version of colorbox are you using? Please note, from https://www.drupal.org/project/colorbox:
Form support in Colorbox is removed in 7.x-2.x
Use Modal forms (with ctools) instead or one of the other modules that has this feature, there are a number of them.
The attempt to support opening various forms in a Colorbox was in hindsight never a good idea. Form error handling and form redirects are complicated, a lot of code would be needed to do it correctly.
If you absolutely want to continue using the form support you need to stay with 7.x-1.x.

Joomla 3.3.6 admin panel not working

The buttons on the admin panel of my joomla site suddenly wont work anymore,
The dropdown works but when i hit a button it doesnt work.
Almost all buttons, i cant view my articles, categories or menus anymore and a lot of components.
Please help me!
There are two reasons for this problem to happen:
One (or more) core JavaScript files was (were) hacked.
You have recently installed an extension (typically a global system plugin) that created a conflict between JavaScript libraries
Try disabling, from phpMyAdmin, the recently installed plugin(s). Also try overriding all your core Joomla files with a fresh copy of Joomla.
Also make sure you delete your browser cache!
1- Go to yoursite/administrator/index.php
2- In the left side menu, most probably in Maintenance part ... checking joomla is stuck (probably some files damaged)
3- Select reinstall joomla core files.

Lost Pagination Toolbar in Magento 1.8.1

Hello
I have a live Magento 1.8.1 site where pagination was working on product list pages (such as category pages) but I’ve been adding and removing a number of extensions / plugins and I’ve lost all pagination. Unfortunately, I can’t remember the last time it was working so I can’t think precisely what extension might have caused the problem.
I’ve checked all the usual fixes such as here but my catalog.xml is fine (and all problems seem to only relate to 1.4 - 1.6). I am reluctant to upload new files which I actually think might fix it but I also know how temperamental Magento is! Everything else is working perfectly for the first time after a month of serious hard work including a couple of reinstalls!
The website is next2new.net and although you can see a custom theme, there is also no pagination on the default magento theme which indicates to me it’s a core problem somewhere.
Any thoughts on any files I could check / change before I do a big overwrite?
Many thanks
Following things you can try in order to Cope-up with this situation :
1) Disable those modules which is overriding Catalog module and check once again.
2) Check whether Toolbar block is calling or not using Template and Block Path hints using Magento Admin.
3) If you are using any template, possibly there could be a setting in Admin section to Manage toolbar.

Joomla 2.5 Template Configuration Error

This is my first experiment with Joomla (2.5) and I am having trouble figuring out what is not configured correctly between the two.
I started with the template and all was good but then as I was configuring / adding content I must have changed something.
The two areas in question is the "top movies" section at the bottom and the "Latest News", Recent News tabs.
Looking at the html in developer tools I can clearly see the difference but I can't figure out what to do / change / look at in the Joomla admin.
The original template is here:

The one I eventually want to go live with is here:
http://take7.lamplighterguild.com/
I'm not sure what else to post but if you'll just educate me more on what I can provide I'll be happy to update / edit.
Thank You
Edit
Elin you were most helpful pointing me in the right direction. What I found was that another module I was using Code 7 Responsive Slider jquery was colliding with the templates jquery. If I disable the Code 7 slider the jquery carousel and jquery tabs are back to the original.
So now I am off to figure out how to get them to play nice...including using another slider if needed. FWIW I need the images to be href links and that was not readily available using the default slider that came with the template so I grabbed another slider.
Put your comment in some form of an answer and I will mark it for you.
Thanks again.
