Start firefox extension using folder - firefox

I'm new to Firefox extension development. I have gone through some basic tutorial. When I do as shown in the tutorial by placing the folder into profile folder/extensions folder, or in profile folder it made no change in the extension installation after restart.
Then, I have gone through this tutorial as well. I tried using the pointer object also. This also not working for me.
Firefox version I'm using is 14.0.1,
And When I try to install ESPN Crickinfo (you could be able find extension on-line) extension, It also not working. I couldn't open the options page of this extension even.
Any suggestions on this problem???

Try using a fresh profile http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

Creating custom builds of Mozilla Firefox

I am trying to build my own version of Firefox with slight UI changes and by adding some addons(extensions) to the build.
I have downloaded the source code from repo. Where would I start to achieve this?
Which all codes hold the UI structuring? Where do I put my addon xpi files?
PS: I tried to read the Mozilla documentation. Its either kinda outdated or I am not really getting it? A detailed insight would be much appreciated.
Addons
To do this, simply place the extensions in the distribution/extensions
directory in the application's distribution directory.
Here are the extension

CKBuilder is not including some plugins that I choose

I go to CKEditor Builder and customize it´s full version adding some plugins, specifically (Upload Image, Image Browser and Auto Save)
FileBrowser is supposed to be a preset addon.
When i click to build it, it generates a zip file.
Looking into this zipfile i can´t see some of the correspondent folders inside plugin folder, like: "imagebrowser", "uploadimage".
Even the "filebrowser" that is a preset plugin for this version and "widget", "popup", "lineutils" and some of other necessary folder aren´t there.
PS: The "autosave" plugin installs correctly.
Whats going on? Does anyone knows whats wrong? I´ve tried other plugins combinations to check if the folders are included. I´ve restarted the computer, cleared browser cache, changed computers...nothing worked :(
I need Filebrowser, UploadImage e ImageBrowser.
If I install it manually it seens to work. But i´m having some troubles trying to configure it.
CKBuilder takes the plugins that you request and tries to merge all the plugin.js files to improve performance, so it's normal that you don't see many folders in the zip.

magento connect manager shows extension is installed but actually its not

I have installed an extension , On installing it magento shows its progress in terminal properly ...
But in actually it is not installed .
Neither the extension list includes its name.
For every extension the same problem exists .
please suggest me what may have gone wrong .
You have cleaned cache from system->cache management right? Also some extensions require you to logout and login in backend otherwise they give you 404 page.
Also try to look in system->configuration->advanced->disable module output. You can see all installed extension on your installation.
Edit: also try to see in app/etc/modules if there is an xml with extension's name, and if in app/code/local or app/code/community there is a folder with all files. If there are not any, maybe it's a problem with permissions.
Try to see section "Permissions not correct/insufficient" in http://www.magentocommerce.com/wiki/1_-_installation_and_configuration/installing_magento_via_shell_ssh

View PDFs with Chromium on Windows

It's possible?
Is there a way to install the plugin?
I've been searching trying to find a solution for this, but found nothing.
Edit: Without installing anything from Adobe.
Grab the "pdf.dll" from the latest Google Chrome version. (Download here from version 25.0.1364.172)
Put it in Chromium's install directory ("C:\Program Files\Chromium\Application" or "%appdata%/Chromium/Application/VersionNumberHere/")
Restart any running instance of Chromium.
Type "chrome://plugins" in Chromium, make sure the plugin is enabled and any other PDF plugin is disabled.
And test your browser in: http://www.google.com.br/search?q=pdf+test
Install Adobe Reader on the computer. The PDF will then display in Chrome.

Please help me with my joomla template

I'm currently using this template in my joomla site and I dont know why i can't see the background image. i tried with internet explorer , firefox and chrome and I tried to edit the template style sheet but I still cant see the background image, what can I do?
Without providing any other info or a direct link i can't help you.
Anyway try to change permission on template folder to 775.
If you can't access directly via ftp, install a component like ninjaxplorer (it's free)
and go on templates/yt_expo and change permission on folder/subfolder and files.
