Google Chrome Frame not working - google-chrome-frame

My site is set to prompt for installation of the Google Chrome Frame for IE8 and below.
On one of the machine that runs Windows Server 2003 R2, 64bit with IE8, I got a message in the Google Chrome Frame install overlay "We are sorry. Google Chrome Frame is only available for Internet Explorer 6, 7, 8 and 9 on Windows 7 / Vista / XP SP2 or greater".
Does it mean that Chrome Frame cannot recognize IE8 on a Win 2003 Server box?
Thanks.

It appears that Google Chrome Frame does not work right in IE that runs on Windows Server 2003 64bit

According to Chrome Frame Plugin's FAQ:
You'll need the following system requirements to use Google Chrome Frame:
Internet Explorer 6, 7, or 8
32- and 64-bit Windows XP, Window Vista,
Windows 7, Windows 8 Minimum 512 MB of RAM (recommended)

How can I test my UWP app on Windows 10 Mobile when my dev OS is Windows 10 Home?

I want you to think creatively on this question.
I'm running Windows 10 Home edition, which as you know do not have Hyper-V and thus cannot run the Windows Phone 10 Emulator. I don't have a physical Windows 10 phone. How can I, for the minimum cost, test and preferrably debug my UWP app on a Windows Phone 10 emulator?
I tried setting up Windows 2017 Server + Visual Studio 2017 Community on an Amazon EC2 instance, and after a couple of hour of configuring I'm met with
Editing this project is not supported on a server operating system. Please use a Windows 10 client to continue development of your Universal Windows app project.
..so that was a dead end. Other suggestions?
You will have to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro (or Enterprise) to have access to Hyper-V and be able to run the Windows Phone 10 emulator (or get an actual phone device). In my opinion, upgrading your Home license to Pro will probably be the cheapest solution long term anyway.
A copy of Windows 10 Home will run $119, while Windows 10 Pro will
cost $199. For those who wish to upgrade from the Home edition to the
Pro edition, a Windows 10 Pro Pack will cost $99.

You can NOT run a Windows Phone 10 emulator on Amazon/Azure since they use virtualized machines and they don't provide nested virtualization. You can make a Windows 10 VM on Azure for developer purposes, but you won't be able to run the phone emulator.

Sharepoint 2010 SPLongOperation progress message does not display in Windows 7, IE 8

We are testing a SharePoint 2010 web application on Windows 7 vPCs running IE8. The application uses SPLongOperation in modal dialog boxes. The code works fine in IE8 on Win XP service pack 3, and in IE8 directly on the Windows Server 2008 R2 web servers in the farm. However, the dialog boxes do not display the SPLongOperation progress info in IE8 on Windows 7. I have run script debugging IE 8 Developer Tools on Windows 7 and there are no errors that cause the code to break into the debugger. There are no errors in the event viewers on either the client or server machines, and there's nothing in the IIS logs.
Is anyone else running into this issue?

Connect Windows Mobile 6 emulator to internet on Windows 7

I have a slight problem... I need to connect the Windows Phone 6 emulator to internet. That requires Virtual PC 2007. However, VPC 2007 is not supported for Windows 7. When I try to run the setup program Windows tells me the program is blocked due to compatibility issues. Running the setup file in Compatibility Mode didn't help either.
What to do ? o_O
I've used the method described on this blog dozens of times. It has workaround instructions for 32 and 64 bit Windows 7.

Virtual machine test suite

I just got some VM software installed on my MacBook in order to have a test suite for cross-compatibility on websites etc. I need to be able to test for Internet Explorer 7 and 8.
Am I right in assuming I should install both Windows XP (with IE7) and Windows 7 (with IE8) to get the most optimal setup?
the result of testing the website with ie7 and ie8 doesn't depend on the windows version only on the browser version.
You can also run the ie8 in the compatibility mode but I made the experience that the result of ie7 and ie8 compatibility mode is not 100% the same.

Windows CE emulator for Win 7

I am looking for a Windows 6 CE emulator, which I can use on my X86 32bit Win 7 Laptop. I just want to run a particular Win CE 7 software I have got on this Laptop.
I found a few emulators, but all fail. Some are not Win 7 compatible, others just do not start. Who can tell me an Win 7 emulator working on Win 7?
I made a windows xp VM and ran the emulator on that. Bit laggy, but it works.
I am using the version 3.0 of the Device Emulator allowing me to run the emulator independently from VS2005.
Also this question contains some more details, for me the VirtualPC image described there did not work with Win7.
