I'm building an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) application for Mac OS X.
When creating a new Mac OS X Cocoa Application should I select (check) Create a Document-Based Application?
What are some examples of document-based apps?

Yes, you'll probably want your IDE to be a document-based app because the Document-Based App Programming Guide for Mac says, "Document-based apps handle multiple documents ... and often display more than one document at a time." For an IDE app, each document could be a source file.

I'm web developer on mac os and I need a feature that allow's to pin web inspector in separate window always on top of current page. I'm trying to create addon with this feature, never did it before. Researched developer.mozilla.org but can't find any ability to do it. Any suggestions how to do it?
You'll have to use this addon - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/topick/
You can set any hotkey you want. On Windows and Linux it supports toggling "always on top"-ness for all system windows (not just Firefox). On Mac it currently is limited to just Firefox windows, but hopefully soon it will be system wide on Mac as well.

Just bought a new pumped up MacBook AIR (i7,8gb ram) that comes with 10.8 OS X preinstalled.
I code Actionscript, Flex for all targets (including mobile). I have used Flash Builder 4.7 up until now, but I have concerns about Adobe's commitment to it.
I have always had Apple macs because i prefer OS X to Windows always.
If budget is not an issue, what IDE would you suggest?
I would like it to be a complete system that lets you debug and test for multiple platforms (including mobile simulators), and ideally would support more than just the AS3 stuff - like Haxe and Javascript (for the future).
IntelliJ IDEA ? FDT? and what about the new CodeOrchestra including the C.O.L.T (no new compiling needed??!!)?
any input would be welcome
thanx a lot

It is a free iPad application in iTunes. Do you know which framework is used in this application.
iOS has a lot of different frameworks, and in order to successfully finish app you need to use at least Foundation and UIKit frameworks. That app uses some custom graphics component, so it can use CoreGraphic, Quartz framework or author of this app had wrote his own library for drawing and used it.

There are no such tools runs on windows. For preview your prototype design, There is a tool available on iPhone, iPad and MAC called ProtoView.
You may check it out on APP Store: http://bit.ly/protoview
ForeUI, a very useful and easy to use protyping tool, worked for me, It provides windows, Mac OS X, Wire Frame etc themes

I was wondering it for a long time since Apple released iTunes for Windows. What did they use to write iTunes for Windows? It seems completely with its own UI components and everything is contained inside it. It even uses QuickTime resources files. Can we assume that they've Cocoa working with windows. Anyway, my main question is, is there any known (public or private) tool/language/framework used in developing iTunes for Windows?
Not a direct answer, but if the reason you're asking is that you want to port a cocoa application to Windows, you might be interested in this:

Haven't used it myself, but I gather they've got enough done to make a useable cross-platform Cocoa app.
itunes for both mac and windows are written in c++ as it is easier to port between operating systems with much or the same codebase
