How can I run chromecast sample without whitelisting - chromecast

When I try to write my custom app, I am asked to white list the device. But how can I run the sample apps without whitelisting my chromecast device.
Sample apps here, https://github.com/googlecast/CastHelloText-android

First you need to add the app on your Google Cast SDK Developer Console. Once it is added, click on your application and publish the app. As stated:
When published, your application can be launched on any device. When
unpublished, your application can only be launched on your authorized
devices.

If you want to use your own receiver, you have no choice but to whitelist your device for your app (unless you decide to publish your app which is not a good idea). You can use the app id that is provided in that project and that refers to a published on but that is not your receiver anymore.

How to install app from beta track on Wear OS smartwatch?

I created a standalone smartwatch app for Wear OS. I use a Huawei Watch 2 4G for testing. I now want to have it in the beta track on Google Play Store so that users can test it. I've created some smartphone apps already and put them in the Play Store, so I'm used to the process. What I did so far:
Created entry on Google Play Console
Added a release to the open beta track
Filled all necessary stuff
Published the app and got the URL to participate in the beta test
Opened the URL while logged in with my test account and agreed to become a tester
Wiped the smartwatch and copied the same account to the watch during setup
Now I don't know how to install the app from the Play Store. On a smartphone I would simply open the URL in a browser and would be able to install it from there. What I tried so far:
Searching for the app name and for the package name on the Play Store on the smartwatch, but it can't find it.
Opening the Play Store entry in a browser and click the install button, but it says that I have no devices.
Opening the URL on the paired smartphone, but it only says that the device is not compatible.
How can I install a standalone Wear OS app that is in the open beta track on Google Play Store?
As suggest in #tofferj 's comment I simply had to wait a few more hours. I'm now able to find it by simply searching for the app name in the Play Store on the smartwatch.
Seems like the status "published" on the Google Play Console doesn't mean that it's already in the search index.

Cant debug any apps on google chromecast device

I registered the chromecast in chrome developer account but still i am not able to debug any apps. Chromecast is showing up in the developer console, but the inspect button is not visible. I tried debugging my own styled media receiver app.
https://developers.google.com/cast/docs/debugging
You might have to restart your device to ensure it downloads the latests configs for development. Also, it is very easy to get the serial number wrong when you register your device in the Google Cast Developer console, so double check that too.

Deployment of app to device failed

I have Xamarin Live Player up and running.
When I use it with a newly created Xamarin Forms (Master Details) app, it works fine. I see the app on the device.
However, when I try to run my full-blown app, Visual Studio tells me "Deployment to device failed. Make sure that Xamarin Live Player is open and that the device is in the same network."
Since the new app runs fine, I guess something else is the problem.
I've already set the Android project properties to be same as the newly created app.
Just to make sure, I've made it so that my full-blown app requests all rights.
How could I debug more in detail what's going wrong?
Xamarin Live Player can't run all apps. As soon as you use reflection, embedded resources, a MVVM framework or a custom renderer in Xamarin.Forms it might simply just not run the App.
You can read about the limitations of Xamarin Live Player in the official documentation for it.
You will probably have a much better experience just running directly on the device without Live Player.

Is it possible to get an app to open up when entering a beacon region / within range of a beacon/ibeacon

I'm exploring the end user experience for a beacon prototype but I'm struggling to find any end-user scenarios that involve the app becoming active / opening up on the screen when within range.
I can get the app to send a notification and this is the most likely experience on both Android and iOS but does anyone know if it is possible to get the app to open up?
It's unlikely that I'd want real customers to have their experience interfered with in this way, I think it's ok if the app is already running and is open but not if it's running but not open.
Thanks
On Android this is possible. The reference app for the Android Beacon Library demonstrates how to do exactly this.
On iOS, it is not possible due to OS security restrictions. See here for details. The best you can do is send a local notification to the user when the beacon is detected, then if the user gestures to it, bring up the app.

Install other applications in a WP7 application Programatically

What the WP7 application needs to do?
- download some others applications and install them automatically on the device.
The device will send first a request to a web server with some rules and will receive an answer containing the links to the applications that need
to be downloaded and installed on the device.
As far as I read, the Marketplace is the only way to get apps on a Windows Phone 7 device, so let's suppose that the applications I want to
install are already on the Marketplace and I can refer to each one by their links (according to this post).
Can I download programmatically an application from the MarketPlace (having the link to it) in another application and install it
on the device?
I do not want to open the app link in browser because this opens the Marketplace hub and points me to the application location.
Just for my curiosity: every time you want to install an application from Marketplace you need to sign in with a Windows Live ID?
Thanks & Regards,
Paul
You cannot dynamically download or execute code or install applications on WP7. The closest you can get is launching a MarketplaceDetailTask which directs the user to a page on the marketplace where they can choose to download the application.
The user's Live ID remains signed in until they sign out from Settings so, no, they don't have to sign in more than once.
