NVM - tar: Error opening archive: Unrecognized archive format - macos

okay, when I attempt to install a new version of node using NVM, I'm getting an error.
$ nvm i v14.17.5
Downloading https://nodejs.org/dist/v14.17.5/node-v14.17.5-darwin-arm64.tar.xz...

I've scoured the web for an answer and after a while, I'm trying here.
Next, I'll probably try re-installing NVM
Any ideas what is going on? (MAC OS)

Build kustomize 3.2.0 on Windows

Can someone suggest how to install 3.2.0 version of kustomize on Windows, please?
I need specifically v3.2.0 on Windows. I am following this tutorial.
Source code: https://github.com/kubernetes-sigs/kustomize/releases/tag/v3.2.0
I downloaded the zip file and installed Go. However when I run go install . inside that kustomize folder i get: no Go files in path/kustomize/..
Also tried step by step aforementioned tutorial but same error..
EDIT: Trying to install via https://github.com/kubernetes-sigs/kustomize/blob/master/hack/install_kustomize.sh ./install_kustomize.sh 3.2.0 I get: Version v3.2.0 does not exist.
When I try ./install_kustomize.sh 3.2.1 I get:
tar (child): ./kustomize_v*_windows_amd64.tar.gz: Cannot open: No such file or directory
tar (child): Error is not recoverable: exiting now
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
Env: Windows 10, executing in GIT Bash
You'll need to run go install ./cmd/kustomize/.
That is where the main.go is you want built.
This will install the executable in your %GOBIN%.
You might want to use go build -o kustomize.exe ./cmd/kustomize/ instead to get the executable in your current working directory.

During Openssl build: How to fix "fatal error: apps/app_rand.d: no such file or directory, compilation terminated"

I am attempting to update openssl to 1.1.1 on centos 7 in order to start building OpenLDAP.
After pulling the openssl installation package and unzipping it in /usr/local/src/ I ran ./config --prefix=/usr/local/ssl --openssldir=/usr/local/ssl shared zlib. This command successfully configured openssl.
I then ran the make command to build openssl and got the following error:
cc1: fatal error: apps/app_rand.d: no such file or directory
compilation terminated
make(1): *** (apps/app.rand.o) Error 1
make(1): Leaving directory '/usr/local/src/openssl-1.1.1d'
make: *** (all) Error 2
The apps directory was created and does exist, but the app_rand.d file is not present inside of the apps directory.
I have downloaded all dependencies (i believe)
I am decent in linux, I have my rhcsa, but am not familiar with manually building software libraries like openssl. I have tried to do some research online but have not come up with any solutions. Any advice would be very much appreciated!

<urlopen error [SSL: TLSV1_ALERT_PROTOCOL_VERSION] tlsv1 alert protocol version (_ssl.c:590)>

I'm currently installing emsdk. I was just following the tutorial in their site but got stuck at this command:
./emsdk install latest
Here is the output:

I already tried upgrading to Python 3 from Python 2.7 as well as upgraded my OpenSSL as per suggestion of some posts here. How can I fix this?
I ran into the same problem. I tried updating openssl on MacOS and using a newer version of python, but it still didn't work.
A hacky work around that worked for me is to download the failing file manually into the zips folder.
For example
cd zips
wget https://github.com/kripken/emscripten/archive/1.38.0.tar.gz
Then try to install again and it should work.

Error building the webrtc code on mac

This is the error:

what the problem?
On Mavericks? Try typing "xcode-select --install" to pop up the dialog to install the Xcode command-line tools. That should give you a /usr/include directory and then building LLVM should work.
