WP7 Google's Admob sdk load/refresh causing to lose focus from a textbox - windows

I am trying to use the recently released Google's Admob sdk for a Windows Phone 7 app. The problem is there is a textbox in the page and whenever Admob's ad is loaded or refreshed, the focus is lost from the textbox causing the input keyboard to hide (kind of unintentional). Does anyone else have a similar problem? Is there a solution to this?

the AdMob SDK is currently only in BETA, i would either wait for a full release if it's inhibiting your programs function or make do with it until then

Corruption of menus in Windows app

I'm the author of a Windows application that's been around for years. The app uses the wxWidgets UI library. For the newest version, we upgraded to the Microsoft c++ compiler in Studio 10 and to the latest Windows SDK library. We did not change much else in the app. Now, several users have reported that after a period of time running the app, the menus go crazy. All of the users reporting the problem are running on Windows XP. The menus either get huge, filling the screen, and have a giant italic font with strikethroughs. Or they get really small, so that the only thing shown are up and down arrows, suggesting the rendering code thinks the screen real estate is too small to display anything else.
You can find example screen shots here:
Once the menus go crazy, all menus are affected, except the standard Windows and MDI menus. The only way to recover is to restart the app.
The code in the app and wxWidgits is a thin layer on top of the standard Windows API. Once the menus are created, afaik Windows manages the rendering.
Any ideas what's going wrong?

WP7 Screen Shot Requirements

Microsoft declined to submit my application because I took a screen shot of the game which included the actual emulator.
Looking at this answer, the person says that I should us the snipping tool when I have made the phone emulator at 100%. And indeed, the snipping tools spits out an image of that screen at exactly 480x800 which is exactly what Microsoft wants. However, whenever I use the snipping tool, there is still the top black border of the WP7 remaining. I've looked at a few images on the Marketplace and other applications have it as well...I think. Some don't. Can anyone advice me on this please? How I can avoid getting penalised...again.
Will this suffice?
If you update to the Windows Phone 7.1 SDK and Emulator, the new emulator has a built-in screenshot function to take screenshots without these issues.
I have never had my app rejected due to a screenshot taken from the emulator, I can't say you wont have issues, but assuming everything else in your screenshot checks out; the images from the emulator are the correct size and should be approved.

how to make Ad View not interfere with my Page controls?

while my phone acquires a wifi network for loading ads(Google Admob), the controls(image) of my page gets unresponsive.
i am not doing anything apart from using this code in my .xaml?
<google:BannerAd AdUnitID="MyAdUnitId" Name="AdControl">
<google:BannerAd.TestDeviceIDs>
<sys:String>MyId</sys:String>
</google:BannerAd.TestDeviceIDs>
</google:BannerAd>
How can i fix this?
You can't.
Google admob for Windows Phone is buggy and it seems they don't care.
I stop using it in favor of other better implemented ad network controls.
Don't bother trying to post on AdMob forums, they auto-delete any post containing the words admob and windows phone.

Can we programmaticllay take screen shots using Blackberry and Windows 7 SDK?

I know that we can take screen shot of an App during runtime. In iOS we can use UIGraphicsBeginImageContext to get the screen shot. We can also do the same in Android.
But is it possible with Blackberry and Windows 7 Mobile OS?
A simple search for "blackberry screenshot" on stackoverflow returned this pretty straightforward answer:
Taking screenshot of the current screen in BlackBerry
And a search for "windows-phone screenshot" yields this:
Windows Phone 7 - Capture Screen
If what you need is for capture a screenshot of your own Windows Phone app, then this post from Jeff Wilcox will come in handy!
It looks like there is a function for that in Display. Check out the SDK reference.
There are a couple of Homebrew tools you can use to take screenshots on WP7 here and here however you wont be able to use these programatically. You can also something along the lines of Mark Artega or Jeff Wilcox
There is no Silverlight VisualBrush support for WP7 and no global Screenshot functionality on WP7 Mango, but writablebitmap.
There is a very usefull way by using default Microsoft Emulator integrated WP7 Screenshot Tool
or use third party methods.
If you are familar with XNA Framework, there you can access to the screen. Using Multithreading, you can do your screenshots that way. If never used the last app because I feel fine using Microsofts Emulator Screenshot button to save my png images.
After you can stitch it together using different ways.

Blackberry and Windows phone 7 publishing of trivial app

We have a mobile version of our web site which works well on all mobile screen resolutions and sizes. Now, we would like to build a very simple app for Blackberry and Windows Phone 7. The app would be trivial - after you click on its icon, it opens a web browser and send you to our mobile web site. Just like a Windows OS shortcut that you place on your desktop.
Can you tell me if Blackberry and Windows Phone 7 policies allow such app be published? For example, Apple rejected us.
I can't speak for Blackberry, but Requirement 2.10 from the WP7 Application Certification Requirements:
Your application must have distinct,
substantial and legitimate content and
purpose other than merely launching a webpage.
So the answer seems to be no on the WP7 marketplace. Is there a reason you want to create an app like that anyway? On WP7, users can pin a tile to their home screen that will launch the website they've pinned. You could simply encourage users to do that on their WP7 and you'll get the same effect (except your site won't appear in the app list).
Seems this is okay for BlackBerry. See section 4.b of the App World FAQ.
Very strange. Our company has placed a similar application on Android Market and the Appstore and they have been resolved and now they available at stores. Also, I had a similar application for Windovs Phone, and it was also allowed.
P.S. Our application is not just a browser window, it has custom control panel in bottom. Also it has the communication protocol with the site - such a sending pictures from camera and phone and access to phone contacts.
