I'm using GitSCC with VS 2100 and it works really nice. Although I prefer offline installations that didn't bother me until now. Now I have to install it on the computer which cannot have a network connection (I mean it can have, but it doesn't) so I need the part which is installed from within VS 2010 (GitScc plugin) in the form of offline installer.
Anyone knows where it can be found?
Google it! First link that I found Visual Studio 2010 version is only available with extension manager.
Visual Studio 2008 is still available as an offline install.
You can download the VSIX from the gallery site, then double-click the file to install it.

What going wrong I don't understand. This VM placed to datacenter in Germany with good connection and preinstalled and activated legal copy Windows 10 and Excel.
Most probably you are dealing with a connection problem. You may try to repair your VS installation at a later point of time.
You may consider downloading a local installation package, select the Download all, then install option in the dropdown at the bottom of the Workloads tab of the Visual Studio Installer. The purpose of this feature is to frontload the downloading of the Visual Studio packages onto the same computer that you plan on eventually installing Visual Studio on. By downloading the packages locally first, you can then safely disconnect from the internet before you install Visual Studio.
Also you can download the installer locally by using a command line. And only then you can launch the installer for the Visual Studio, so you will not face with such problems. Read more about that in the Create an offline installation package of Visual Studio for local installation article.
I am trying to install an extension from the Visual Studio 2022 Manage Extension window.
It says I have to close all Visual Studio windows, which I did, but it is still not installing.
What extension did you install? You can try to download the extension from the MarketPlace.
I fixed this the bad way
I basically just reinstalled Windows (I would not recommend you to do this, you should always search for a different solution first). I backed everything up, of course.
I downloaded Visual Studio installer from Microsoft site and I have use the downloadball, then install feature to installed the ASP.NET features.
My question is that, where did the setup files stores to? I just want to know if possible I format my PC in order to install it without re downloading the files again.

It depends what you choose during the installation.
Usually, the packages are put in drive_letter:\ProgramData\Microsoft\VisualStudio\Packages.
That is true, only if you check during the installation 'Keep download cache', see the image below.

I have Visual Studio 2013 which included "PreEmptive Dotfuscator and Analytics".
It's always worked fine for me until recently.
Suddenly it will not open from Visual Studio, icon or commandline.
Even when I manually open it, it does not show up in the task manager.
It simply does nothing.
There's nothing in the Event Viewer logs.
Visual Studio shows no error.
Basically, I can't even begin to find the problem.
I tried to find a download to attempt to reinstall it but all I've seen on the website for this version is that it's included in VS2013.
There's other sites in search results which claim to have the installer but none I trust.
Has anyone had this issue in the past?
It's Visual Studio 2013 Professional on Windows 8.1.
I'm not sure how to address this so I would greatly appreciate any possible input.

You can try uninstalling, wiping the settings, and reinstalling. Dotfuscator Community Edition is uninstallable via the Windows control panel. Once uninstalled, delete %LOCALAPPDATA%\PreEmptive Solutions. You may be able to reinstall it as a component via the Visual Studio installer. If not, it is actually a standalone installer, so if you have a Visual Studio disc or .iso, it will be in \packages\Dotfuscator.

A client sent me his Microsoft Visual Studio Express 2012 for Web project. I have Microsoft Visual Studio Ultimate 2010 installed.
I get an error when I try to open his project saying "this project is not compatible with the current version of visual studio".
We'll be passing the project back & forth quite a bit, so I need a solution that meets that need please.
So, I figure I may be able to modify the project with a text editor to let me open it. If so, do I have to re-edit it back when I send it back to him?
Can I install VS Express 2012 for Web on a machine that already has VS Ultimate 2010 on it without any conflicts? Can I open it if I install VS 2012 Ultimate (keeping 2010 as well)?
I have another client that uses 2010, so whatever I do, I need to be able to still support him.
If I can't have 2 versions installed at the same time, and can't easily edit a file to make it compatible, then I guess my last option is a virtual machine.

Microsoft Visual Studio has backwards compatibility since the version 2010 SP1.
So in this case you just need update your Visual Studio 2010 to SP1 and it will understand the new way files are versioned.
Based on my experience:
You do can edit it with a text file and send it back, but it's not compiled yet so it's your partners job.
Maybe, just maybe, you can edit the .sln and .(whatever the project file extension is) file to meet your VS10 env (I think it's going to be a bumpy road though)
Yes, I'm pretty sure you can have VS 10 and VS 12 installed on same machine, note that you have to have .Net 4.0 and .Net 4.5
