How to Set TabIndex on Press Enter Tab in MVC3 Using Jquery - asp.net-mvc-3

my Problem is that, when i press the enter Button in any textbox or place in form the cursor Automatically go to create button and press it..... i working in mvc3, so please tell me any solution....

You could subscribe to the .keypress() event of the form and cancel it if it was Enter:
$(function() {
// subscribe to the keypress event of the form
$('form').keypress(function(e) {
if (e.which == 13) {
// if Enter was pressed cancel the default action and
// prevent the form from submitting
return false;
}
});
});

Confirmation before closing a modal dialog page in Apex 5.0

I am trying to create a simple confirmation ("Do you want to close this window?") when closing a modal dialog page with the (X)-button.
What would be the most efficient way to implement this in Apex 5.0?
I tried to implement a solution using the dialog closed event, this seemed to have had no effects on closing the dialog with the (X)-button, however.
Try to create a dynamic action, on page load, in your modal page with that code:
Your da should execute a javascript code:
var button = parent.$('.ui-dialog-titlebar-close'); //get the button
button.unbind(); //remove the behavior
//put another behavior to the button
button.on('click', function() {
apex.message.confirm( "Your message here", function( okPressed ) {
if( okPressed ) {
apex.navigation.dialog.cancel(true);
}
});
});
Try to confirm if the "X" button have the css class "ui-dialog-titlebar-close", they can change between versions of apex.
If necessary, update the first line of the code with the correct class.
Have you considered hiding the button (x) and canceling the modal dialog page by clicking on the "cancel" button?
If you want to rename the standard button names in the confirmation window, use:
apex.lang.addMessages({"APEX.DIALOG.OK": pOkLabel});
apex.lang.addMessages({"APEX.DIALOG.CANCEL": pCancelLabel});

Any button on page to run a session save?

I have a form that needs to be submitted on all button presses or whenever a user leaves the page, is that possible if so how?
Using jquery to detect if a user leaves the page.
https://api.jquery.com/unload/
$( window ).unload(function() {
//call your function here that executes the form
return "Handler for .unload() called.";
});
using jquery to detect button presses.
$(document).on('click', '.buttonCLass', function(){
//code here
})

jQuery dialog won't stop re-opening

Problem with field validation and two jQueryUI dialogs.
There is a registration form in the first jQUI dialog.
Field validation on the username field using AJAX. If field fails validation (already exists), PHP file returns a number > zero and an error message is displayed in a second jQueryUI dialog.
However, when user closes 2nd dialog, it immediately re-opens, forever.
Any thoughts?
$("#c_username").blur(function() {
var uu = ($(this).val()).toLowerCase();
$(this).val(uu); //in case user did not input as all lowercase
$.ajax({
type:'POST',
url: 'ajax/ax_all_ajax_fns.php',
data:'request=does_username_already_exist&username=' + uu,
success: function(data) {
if (data != 0) {
$('#alert').html('Username <span style="font-weight:bold;color:darkgreen;">' +uu+ '</span> already exists. Please enter another.');
$('#alert').dialog({
title: 'Username already exists:',
width: 400,
close: function() {
$(this).dialog('destroy');
}
});
$("#c_username").addClass('field_invalid').focus();
}else{
alert("Username is okay");
}
}
});
});
$("#c_username").addClass('field_invalid').focus(); focuses the input behind the dialog. When you click the close button on the dialog, the input's blur event is raised again, causing another ajax call, and another dialog to be opened.
Try moving the focus() call to the close callback on the dialog. You could also try displaying the message in a span next to the input instead of in a dialog so focus issues can't happen.

ChangeValueHandler not fired when clicking on the back button In GWT

I have a form and I want to display a confirmation dialogBox when the user presses the back button. Let say that I have one Texbonx that listens to a ChangeValueHandler
addValueChangeHandler(new ValueChangeHandler<String>() {
#Override
public void onValueChange(ValueChangeEvent<String> event) {
setChanged(true);
}
});
This is the short scenario
1) I enter text in the TextBox
2) I hit the back button
3) The ValueChangeEvent is not called
I tried the fire the BlurEvent programmatically on the TextBox with textBox.fireEvent(new BlurEvent() { }); but still no result.
Any suggestions ?
When the page is closed (by pressing the back button, or closing the page) no events will be fired by the controls. What will fire first is window.onbeforeunload to give you a chance to warn the user about data loss and offer to stay on the page. If the user chooses to stay on the page, then all the events that were supposed to be fired, will fire (so your change event will fire).
You can attach a handler to the native onbeforeunload event by using Window.addClosingHandler.
Window.addWindowClosingHandler(new ClosingHandler() {
#Override
public void onWindowClosing( ClosingEvent event )
{
event.setMessage("If you leave the page now all data will be lost.");
}
});
It's worth noting that the ClosingEvent and it's underlying onbeforeunload event, cannot, under any circumstances, be cancelled programmatically. The only way to prevent the user from leaving the page is if the user itself chooses "Stay On This Page" in the popup that results from the code above.
What I did is to set the focus of the TextBox to False and then check if it's changed, that forces the TextBox to unfocus when hiting the back button.
This is the code that check if a form is changed
public boolean isChanged(){
if(formPanel == null) return false;
for (int i = 0; i < formPanel.getWidgetCount(); i++) {
if(formPanel.getWidget(i) instanceof BaseWidget){
BaseWidget w= (BaseWidget) formPanel.getWidget(i);
w.setFocus(false);
if(w.isChanged()){
return true;
}
}
}
return false;
}

Telerik MVC Grid Delete operation

i would like to ask how i can intercept the ajax delete functionality of a grid using ajax binding? specifically, up to the point wherein, after i click on delete, as the confirm prompt pops up, i would like to do something based on the user's choice,
basically, if OK, do this, if CANCEL do that..
You need to use the OnRowDataBound and attach a click handler to the delete button. Then you can display custom confirmation and decide what to do. If you want' to prevent the grid deletion code - call e.stopPropagation(). Here is a quick sample:
<%: Html.Telerik().Grid(Model)
// Prevent the grid from displaying the default delete confirmation
.Editable(editing => editing.DisplayDeleteConfirmation(false))
// Subscribe to the OnRowDataBound event
.ClientEvents(e => e.OnRowDataBound("onRowDataBound"))
%>
<script>
function onRowDataBound(e) {
$(e.row) // get the current table row (TR) as a jQuery object
.find(".t-grid-delete") // find the delete button in that row
.click(function(e) { // handle its "click" event
if (confirm("Do you want to delete this record?")) {
// User clicked "OK"
} else {
// User clicked "Cancel"
e.stopPropagation(); // prevent the grid deletion code from executing.
}
});
}
</script>
The demo page seems to contain an example of what you are looking for.
