SplitView Ipad - Segue to Detail View keeps opening views - xcode

I have an app with a SplitViewController.
On the MasterDetail I have that whenever you push a cell, it performs a push segue to load a new view in the Detail View.
The problem is, if I press the cell 10 times, it opens ten times the detail view and I have to click the Back Button 10 times to go where I started.
How can I solve this??

Why is my view loading but not displaying with segue?

I have a bunch of views (5) and a navigation controller the user can go through by pressing buttons that segue to the next view (each view has something the user does and sends data to the next one). My app is connected with a Firebase database, so I'm doing some stuff with that.
Anyway, the view I can't get to work is a TableViewController which works as a checklist, the user must select a certain number of cells, then clicks next and an array is sent through the prepareForSegue to the next view and this view should be display. It isn't. I have some code and some prints in the viewDidLoad that let met know that the view is supposedly loading, just not being displayed.
The screen freezes and the button just remains pressed. It doesn't crash, just stops.
My code has nothing special. It just has a performSegue in the first view and nothing really in the second one.
This is the way they're set up:

I've been told the problem is that there are too many push segues or something like that, could it be?

Force view to reload when user presses "Menu" button on new Apple TV remote

When a user presses the "Menu" button on the new Apple TV remote it takes them back to the previous view. This is fine but it doesn't appear to reload the view. Right now I have a view with my game and a second view with the score card. When the user finishes the game they are taken to the score card view. The problem is: if they press the menu button on the remote they are taken back to the game view and it doesn't reload. Can this be fixed?
- (void)viewDidLoad is only called at object creation, when you are going back to a view controller, it is not created again (unless it has been deallocated due to lack of RAM) so you have to handle all your dynamic actions (like refreshing content of the view) by using the
- (void)viewWillAppear:(BOOL)animated
or
- (void)viewDidAppear:(BOOL)animated
methods !

Unwinding to viewController in different Navigation stack not working

As shown from the diagram, I am trying to have two viewControllers connected to the viewController on the right that serves as a menu between the viewControllers.
When the app is first run, it will load the first view controller on top. A button will show the menu modally and depending on which button is pressed (I am planning to add more) the corresponding viewController will be shown. The FIRST time that VC2 is pressed, it will load the second viewController, but when the menu is called again and VC2 is pressed, I want it to unwind instead of reload the view controller.
I have managed to unwind to the first viewController but when trying to unwind to the second viewController, the action is ignored. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
You cannot unwind to a viewcontroller that has not been previously presented, because the desired destination VC will not be held in the navigation controller stack. Unwind segues are designed to 'pop' several steps back in a navigation history. In your scenario, the only possible pop available is to VC1.
You might also want to review your 'menu' concept, considering that UINavigationController objects can provide this behaviour with little fuss. You also don't need two separate UINavigationController objects to achieve what you want.
To do this, simply connect your menu VC as the root view controller for the UINavigationController, then connect the menu buttons to VC1 & VC2. Then you'll be able to move between the three screens with ease (see below for example).

Create Back Button with Storyboards

I currently have 3 tabs connected to a common UITabBarController. When one of the tabs is selected the user is taken to a UITableView with 3 cells which can be selected. When a cell is selected the user is taken to a new page with a UINavigationBar at the top. My understanding is that the UINavigationBar is supposed to include some sort of back button and I couldn't figure out how to enable it.
In place of the default back button, I dragged a UIButton to the corner and connected it to the 'Show Detail' property of the previous view but when I press the UIButton I am taken to the right UITableView but the tabs are missing for navigation. What am I doing wrong? My segues look like this:
The UINavigationController has the back functionality. How to go back one view in UINavigationController?.
Here is some old tutorial on how to combine that with a tabbarcontroller. should still be the same principles.

UIScrollView not scrolling after navigating back to view in ios7

I have a project I was working on in XCode 4.whatever where the main view is a Netflix-style layout with a series of horizontally-scrolling scrollviews. The main scrollview may be scrolled vertically to see all of the horizontal ones. This is connected to a navigation controller so when an item is touched it performs a segue, whereupon the user can click a standard navigation bar back button.
This was working as expected with XCode 4.*, iOS 6.1. I have now upgraded to XCode 5 and iOS 7. The scrolling works fine upon initial load - the main vertical one and subview uiscrollviews. After navigating to an item and touching the back navigation bar button the main view won't scroll vertically. The subviews that are visible still scroll horizontally.
I am using a storyboard. The master view controller contains a Scroll View as the top item and a View with a couple subviews for the feature section at the top. The horizontal scrollviews are added programmatically.
The master view controller is a UIScrollViewDelegate and I have connected an IBOutlet from the main scrollview to my master view controller .h file.
That it works initially and then stops scrolling leads me to believe that the content size is being recalculated - and set equal to the frame size - after the navigation. However, I tried setting the content size within viewWillAppear to no avail. I did verify the routine was being called after navigation.
Any ideas on why the main scroll view loses its scrolling?
