Red5 demos don't work - installation

I just installed red5 on my server, and the install seems to work fine. As you can see here: http://onelifemedia.com:5080
I got this far by using this walkthrough: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1046590
The /demos page gives me a 404 error. So I logged onto the server, and checked to see if the "demo" directory was already there. It was not.
The applications that I installed were a directory up from the root directory. I'm not sure if this is right or not.
Either way, my end goal is to actually get something working besides the main page. If I can get the demos to work, then hopefully I should be well on my way.
I guess my questions can be broken down like this:
Does anyone know how to get the demos working?
Should I forget about the demos, and try to start writing my own code?
If I should write my own code, how should I go about installing it? Since the installer is not properly installing the demos.
Thanks

The tutorial is good but you dont need the admin app. Use the installer link in the tutorial and install the demo you want to use. The content of the "demos" directory is only the swf files used to access the server demos which you use the installer app to install. For instance , select "oflaDemo" and then from the main page navigate to demos/oflaDemo et voila.
I know I'm biased being a core developer, but we've attempted to make the server as ez as possible to use.

I could install demos from the latest svn trunk, Checkout the source, use ant&ivy to build and run the server and you can install two sample apps(oflaDemo and SOSample).
You may need to use ivy commands resolve some of the common issues during installations.
E:\dev\red5\java\server\trunk>ant ivyclear dist
()Red5 user mailing list may help you, because this is not exactly problem with Red5 source.

I could resolve the issue based on the information in Red5 users mailing list and comments by Mr.Mondain in one of the posts in Stackoverflow

How to install CouchDB on Windows

This might seem like a basic question, but let me explain.
I'm currently trying to get CouchDB running on Windows. Usually (from what I can tell watching several YT tutorials) you just go to couchdb.apache.org/download and download the windowsx64 version. Then open it and a install wizard should appear.
However when I download the file I get a file named "fd15d91c1e214c3451bef296564086f6a9266e848d57eaa8ac596e3765939578" which isn't openable and doesn't give me a wizard.
Is the current CouchDB installation corrupted? Am I doing something wrong?
I just tried http://couchdb.apache.org/, chose the Download link from the top navigation bar, then Windows(x64) for version 2.1.0. This kicked-off downloading the file apache-couchdb-2.1.0.msi.
Definitely try another browser or restart your machine.

Impossible to download VM on Modern.IE

Something is broken on https://dev.modern.ie/tools/vms/
After selecting the VM that I want to download, the links do not appear...
And there is a js error in my console log...
ReferenceError: i18n is not defined
I am experiencing the same issue.
I have found this gist with the direct links to the downloads:
https://gist.github.com/zmwangx/e728c56f428bc703c6f6
Only mac links but maybe the others can be built from the structure.
This Github project has the VMs available through a bash script. I'm trying to download one now, and it appears to be working. Appears to work on multiple platforms.
This is fixed since around 7.00am PST.
The issue was a missing file in the CDN that didn't get pushed (i18next\i18next.js).

Build or Compile Webkit on Windows7 64bit

I'm trying to just build webkit on windows. As usual I started with webkit site and trying to get developer tools setup. I'm struck basically at the cygwin Installation itself.
The cygwin-downloader gets all the packages and runs the setup normally.
As per the installation instructions, I selected the Install from Local Directory Option (cygwin install and source package directories are different).
There was some initial turbulance in finding the packages, somehow i could let it find the packages. The screen looks like this now.
I selected the packages (all) and then proceeded with next. It just ran very fast and exited saying nothing needs to be installed. It looked like this.
After I ran the cygwin shorcut from the desktop its shouting something is missing.
I don't understand what am I missing here. Also at some link it says we need a port to build webkit. If thats the case, how does anyone port webkit to their applications without building the webkit alone?
I know this is not a programming question. but this will help most of the people who are taking baby steps in understanding and build WebKit. Thanks!
According to this, it's seems a cygwin-downloader's bug.
However, there is a workaround...
Just copy {cygwin-downloader}\setup.ini file to a {cygwin-downloader}\x86\ directory. Then reopen setup.exe. It will show you a package list without turbulence. You don't need to click all from the package list. Just click Next.

Do Magento CE extensions work in PE?

Do Magneto CE extensions work in PE? The extensions I've tried installing in PE aren't working (they install but yield blank screens) and I can't find a straight answer; don't know if it's a problem on my end or if it's built in to Magento. Thanks in advance!!
Short answer is yes. CE modules can function correctly as part of PE, but it will depend greatly on what parts of the functionality it touches.
Things to do for any Magento issues like this:
Ensure the extension is enabled (check to ensure it's output is enabled and it's active) - see this post for reference (the post is how to turn off an extension, but it will point you in the right direction)
Refresh your cache
Ensure logging is on and check your logs for errors
Check your web server logs - where these are will depend on which web server you are running. Apache logs are generally in the error.log file under /var/logs/apache2 or /var/log/httpd
If all else fails, start debugging, by putting Mage::log() entries into the code and seeing what is logged and what isn't
Any extension could possibly work in any version, even if it isn't listed as such. Generally developers of extensions just list the versions that it has been tested in, but that doesn't mean it cant be used in others.
Best way to find out is install the module in your dev environment, and test to make sure it isn't overwriting/breaking any of the existing functionality.

Running Umbraco source code in Windows 7 only produces login screen

I am trying to get started in development of my website and plugins using Umbraco. When I download the binaries from Codeplex, the installation and running of the website works fine. When I downloaded the source code, All I get is a login screen even when the web.config files are the same. Am I doing something wrong or is there something I missed.
The path I use to map IIS to is
branches\4.1.0\umbraco\presentation
You need to compile the source code to get it to work.
To be honest, you shouldn't need the full source unless you really want to start hacking around in the core (which may cause you problems with future updates) or you want to see how stuff works. The Umbraco framework is pretty extensible, I've not found too much so far that I couldn't do without having to touch the core source.
I had a similar issue when running the source and that was that the hashing of the admin password did not work. So i debugged it to see what value was expected and then changed it in the database.
