Extra Characters in email body - dynamics-crm

we have a problem with emails sent from CRM having extra characters added to the end, here is an example, this was sent from our system to a recipient in Germany - server locale is uk . the body of the email was just 'This is just a test email.'
we are using dynamics crm 4.0 on rollup 21 for server, client and email router. this particular email was sent using the web interface and email router.
does anyone have any idea where the extra text is coming from?
UPDATE - we have tracked this back to an email footer being added by our sonicwall email appliance. Will update again if we find out why it gets corrupted sometimes.

Maybe it is problem with mail server. I think you can add additional text on every outgoing email. Did you check configuration of mail server?

Didn't manage to find an really fix of find out why the Sonicwall was causing this, our exchange guy just moves the footer from there to the Excahnge server and it works fins now.

Dynamics 365 online issue with Email Synchronization (SSS)

in my organization we have a mailbox that receives email from different sources (about 5) everyday, set to track all incoming emails in the CRM.
All the mails are correctly tracked on the CRM every day, except for one that always fails (same source, similar content every day).
If I send the exact same email from another address, the mail is correctly synchronized with the CRM, so I think it could be something related with Exchange.
This is the message I get if I open the mailbox record:
An unknown error occurred while receiving email through the mailbox "xxxxxx".
The owner of the associated email server profile xxxxx has been notified. The system will try to receive email again later.
Email Server Error Code: Exchange server returned UnknownIncomingEmailIntegrationError -2147220970 exception
Looking for this specific message didn't get me any result, while just searching the error code I found out it could be something related to plugins.
Unfortunately there is no plugin that fires on email creation, same for workflows and so on. By the way, sending the email from another address just works fine.
Has anyone ever had such a problem? Is there some place where I can find other logs and dig deeper in the problem?
Thanks in advance.
For anyone else experiencing this issue: I received the error code -2147218683, which is different, but it turns out this was due to the user in question not having the right security role. Gave the account sys admin and the error went away.

CRM email router not picking up automated emails

I am using MS Dynamics CRM Email router with MS exchange 2013. When an email comes into exchange for certain queues, the CRM email router picks them up and a custom plugin is fired to deal with the email. This all works fine.
The problem I'm having is for a particular customer. They send out emails via an automated service, the details of which I don't have. These emails never get picked up, as in the plugin doesn't fire.
But if the same customer sends an email manually, the plugin does fire. I can't see any significant difference in the message headers of an email that worked and one that didn't. Anything obvious I should be checking?

Email deliverability check without sending an email or checking without SMTP

Here is the scenario. I am using PHP and I want to check whether an email address is valid and deliverable. Here are the steps I take:
Validate email address via regex
Validate email address via php filter_var
Finally use SMTP to check whether the recipient exists
This thing works perfectly except that using an SMTP way is too slow and takes anywhere between 10 seconds to 40 seconds to validate. Sometimes the SMTP check is blocked by the recipient server and my server ip was blacklisted which made all the emails to that server as invalid.
There are professional services out there which do this for you but I don't want to use them for this particular project I am doing. Due to restrictions I cannot actually send an email to that email address.
Is there anyother way or faster way to validate the email addresses? How do these professional email validating companies do the validations so fast and cheaply?
I apologise if the question is not right for this forum. Please tell me and I will promptly delete this. I am new to stackoverflow.
P.S: I checked the other questions but they all pointed to using SMTP as the solution which I am already doing.

E-Mail rule to move Mails to a specific address into folder

we've got a Exchange 2013 postbox with several E-Mail addresses assigned.
For better organization, Exchange should move incoming mail into various folders.
The target-folder depends on the SMTP-Address to which the mail was sent to.
Problem is: Exchange 2013 recognizes only the postbox itself as receipient and does not distinct between the different TO-addresses. How can a serverside-rule be made which respects TO?
Thanks for help!
Moving messages to a folder is a mailbox server side rule. You could log into the mailbox via OWA or Outlook and set up this rule.
Exchange will deliver mail to the recipient, its upto the recipient via rules what they want to do with it from there.

TFS 2010 Wont Send Email

I can't get TFS 2010 to send email alerts. I've tried setting up everything mentioned here:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/how-to-configure-tfs-notifications-in-team-foundation-server-2010.aspx
It's configured to send to a local IIS SMTP instance. SharePoint 2010 is on the same box and is also configured to use the same local SMTP server and it works fine sending emails, no problem. It's also using the same "from" email address as TFS is configured to without issue.
TFS isn't even trying to send anything as far as I can tell - I don't see anything from it in the SMTP log (C:\Windows\System32\LogFiles\SMTPSVC1...).
I have the default "My Work Items changed" alert set up and enabled. I try logging in as another user, assigning a work item to me, then assigning it back...nothing happens...no email. I don't see any error in the event viewer from TFS.
What can I do to troubleshoot this?
I had added alerts in Alert Explorer without specifying any Team Project. Once I added the Team Project filter it started working.
Try other method,
I configure the Email using Gmail Account and it is working very well, try it! if you would like? see this link for steps how you can do it?

Thanks

Try this out

Or else you can go with the option of relay mail. Create a local SMTP server and relay it with the main mail server.
Note : If you mail server requires advanced authentication then you need to follow the second option only.
I actually wanted to add this answer to give ppl an idea of what to look for when they come across 'why doesn't the email get sent out'. The reason i came across this thread was for the same reason, it seemed that tfs wasn't sending out the email. But it was! the problem turned out to be the 'group' that I was sending the email to wasn't permitted to receive email. here is the situation, TFS server located at a DATA CENTER. The email ALERTS that i configured were to a group in our local office DOMAIN.
Apparently,in Active Directory that group didn't have the "All users need to be authenticated" checked OFF. Meaning, the TFS server 'sender of the email' wasn't authenticated to send emails to that group. once i sat with my MIS guys, they finally noticed that was checked on, and once DISABLED. Problem fixed! Hope that helps someone.
