I have just got win 8 pro and i have xp -pro pc and I use to connect with mstsc.exe /span from my win 7 computer. but appears to be win 8 didn't work with mstsc /span. just got on one monitor.
How can I get RDC on dual monitor work on win 8?
I didn't see any option on the new " New Remote Desktop connection" apps downloaded from windows store. any idea...??

I have to say that I have not personally tested this since my Win 8 laptop only has one screen.
If you bring up the old graphical RDP client (not the App Store one), you can select the option to use multiple monitors:

I bouth laptop with pre-installed windows 8.1 a half year ago.
I copied license key and erased the system.
I installed windows 10 and I want to activate it with my key, but it does not accept it.
Is there any way to convert the key?
Because I do not want to install windows 8.1 with my key and then upgrade to windows 10.
You can't do this unfortunately.
You will have to re-install Windows 8.1, then upgrade to Windows 10, then use the Reset Process in Windows 10 for a clean install.
To reset your Windows 10 PC, open the Settings app, select Update & security, select Recovery, and click the “Get started” button under Reset this PC. Select “Remove everything.” This will wipe all your files, so be sure you have backups.

It is possible to use RemoteFX with Hyper-V on Windows 8 Pro?
According to http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/enterprise/products-and-technologies/windows-8/enterprise-edition.aspx it looks like that is possible to use it only with Enterprise edition. After some searching over the internet it even look like that is not possible with Windows 8 at all. (Windows Server is required).
Can somebody bring a bit of light to this?
Thanks,
It appears from my final release of Windows 8 Professional that RemoteFX is not an option under Hyper-V like it is with Server 2012.

I am wanting to buy a Nokia Lumia 900 this week, it's (obviously) a Windows Phone 7.5, but Microsoft is going to release Windows 8/Windows Phone 8 somewhere in october and I am wondering if the Lumia will get an update to Windows Phone 8, and if it will not get an update, can I install Windows Phone 8 on my own?
No current generation Windows Phone will be able to be updated to Windows Phone 8 in a supported manner. Who knows if you will be able to hack a copy onto it, though. Current phones will receive an update to Windows Phone 7.8, which will have a similar start screen, but no other information has been released on that version yet.

All,
I have one firefox installation at work that has specific add-ons, each add-on having it's own preferences and history/data.
Is there a tool/steps to move the entire data to my personal PC, so that I do not have to set-up everything all over again?
My workstation is Windows XP SP3
and
my personal PC is Windows 7, professional, 64bit.
Thanks
Open your Explorer and type in: %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\
If you didn't create another profile there should be one folder with ".default" at the end of it's name. Just copy this folder to the same directory on your desktop pc.
Have fun :)

I have an HP Laserjet 2420 PCL6 printer on my network for which drivers are not available for windows 7. I have installed windows xp mode on my windows 7 system, but I am unable to add that printer in Windows XP mode.
Please help.
Do you need the printer to run in WinXP mode? My first inclination would be to run the Windows Vista SP2 drivers in Win 7.
