It is possible to use RemoteFX with Hyper-V on Windows 8 Pro?
According to http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/enterprise/products-and-technologies/windows-8/enterprise-edition.aspx it looks like that is possible to use it only with Enterprise edition. After some searching over the internet it even look like that is not possible with Windows 8 at all. (Windows Server is required).
Can somebody bring a bit of light to this?
Thanks,

It appears from my final release of Windows 8 Professional that RemoteFX is not an option under Hyper-V like it is with Server 2012.

I'd like to install Windows 10 on fresh Computer with Windows 8 installed and legally activated.
Can I upgrade to 10 without having to upgrade to Windows 8.1 beforehand (downloading 3.5Go for 8.1 is an issue) and still benefit from the one year free activation?
windows 10 is only available for windows 8.1 and windows 7 systems.
you will need to upgrade to 8.1 first.

Hi im looking for a solaris simulating windows terminal to execute some environment specific scripts i have. Any help?
I don't believe anything like that exists. Your best option is probably a Solaris VM. You can download one and VirtualBox from Oracle.
Here is a blog entry that discusses use of the VM

I have one question regarding running XCode in Windows OS
is it possible to install xcode in windows 7 machine?
It's not in Apple's interests to let you do that, so they don't make it easy...you could probably use a VM or Hackintosh (I've known devs who used a hackintosh for a while).
Use a Virtual Machine (VirtualBox for example) to run OSX in Windows.

Currently i am using VS2008, XP Service pack 3 and DotNet framework 2 to develop desktop applications. If i would like to run those applications in Windows 7 (32bit), what else i need to do?
Thanking you in anticipation.
Regards
SKPaul
XP Service Pack should support the latest DotNet Framework, so you can test to see if your application still run. If the do, you can migrate to Win7 32bit safely. But I'd advice you take caution and also backup if necessary.

I have an HP Laserjet 2420 PCL6 printer on my network for which drivers are not available for windows 7. I have installed windows xp mode on my windows 7 system, but I am unable to add that printer in Windows XP mode.
Please help.
Do you need the printer to run in WinXP mode? My first inclination would be to run the Windows Vista SP2 drivers in Win 7.
