How do I change validation messages from German to English? - asp.net-mvc-3

Currently, when I get validation errors in my Project, I have German validation error messages. I would like to have English ones.
They seem to be in System.Web.Mvc.resources.dll:
moose#pc07:~/Downloads/Team/UpToDatE-Code$ grep -r -i 'Das Feld' *
Binary file ViMuDat/UpToDatE/ViMuDat/ViMuDat/_bin_deployableAssemblies/
de/System.Web.Mvc.resources.dll matches
What do I have to change to get English validation error messages?

You need to install the language pack for the .NET Framework.
Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Full Language Pack (x86 x64)

If you want these validation messages to be English you have to build the project using a Visual Studio which was originally in English. Changing the language to English in an not original English version is not a solution, as validation messages will still be in the former language.

QT Application UTF8-strings in translation get displayed erroneous

We are using QT 5.5 successfully throughout our VC++ projects in VS2015.
Now, i am adding i18n thereto, using QTs Linguist tools to create my strings 2b translated and the resulting .qm files. I load the files through QTranslator object, the translation itself seems to work, but they get displayed wrongly.
As german is my mother tongue, I have to type several umlauts, beside any other special unicode-characters I definitely want to support.
As en example, I use linguist to translate over to über, and the resulting text in my application reads über. What I can surely recognize as an encoding mismatch.
I already had a look on the i18n example, which displays correctly for all of the provided languages, so I right now do not know what's wrong after I checked all file encodings.
Anyone any ideas? Or even has the same problems? Or had them but solved? Any suggestions were greatly appreciated!
This seems to be a Windows-specific problem.
Instead of using QString.toStdString() (what breaks the correct string), better use QString.toLatin1() at least for the languages to support yet.

Translations for SonarQube Platform

I have installed the plug-in French Pack, but when I restart the SonarQube server, I have no changes, my SonarQube is always in English.
How passing all my SonarQube in French ?
If I create my own SonarQube widget, if I use the plug-in French Pack, automatically the widget is translate or not ?? If not how to do to translate a widget ???
Assuming you've chosen French localization in your browser, what you're (not) seeing is a product of the fact that the French localization pack hasn't been released in a very long time.
To answer the second part of your question, it is possible to localize a plugin by providing the correct localization files, e.g. org/sonar/l10n/mysonarplugin_fr.properties. That's documented here.

Yii core messages translation

you can find details of how to customise it here

Inno Setup message list somewhere?

Is there an official list of Inno Setup messages like "WinVersionTooLowError" somewhere? I need to change the "This will install AppName on your computer" but don't know how. Thanks!
The default language file should have a complete list, you can view the online CVS version here.
The translation download page contains this note:
Starting with version 5.1.0, the Inno Setup compiler will accept a
translation even if it's missing messages (it will use the default
English messages to replace them) or contains unknown messages.
so you should be able to create a custom English language file that only changes a couple of strings if that is what you want, but it is also possible to override the strings without using language files.
You might also want to take a look at Inno Setup Easy Translator

Replacement for default Visual Studio Resx editor?

Anyone has suggestion for something that's better than Visual Studio default Resource string editor? Not looking for standalone Resx editor, just something that has better navigation between strings in Grid, better support for long strings, etc.
Thanks.
ResXManager is another great free tool that integrates with Visual Studio.
From the site:
You can quickly navigate through all resource files and view the content in a well-arranged data grid. It makes it easy to find untranslated strings or clean up orphaned entries. All strings can be quickly edited in place, ...
The tool is still updated and is available as VS2012-2017 extension and standalone executable to support VS2010 and older.
This tool ResEx inherited from Dimitris Papadimitriou is awesome.
Features I love:
Warns you if you are missing a {0} that is defined in the default resx file
Translate side by side
Warnings about shortcut characters
A wee bit on the late side:
I find Zeta Resource editor very useful.
More or less the same feature, and quite polished:
Auto-translate
Warning of inconsistent formatting arguments
Load from VS solution
Nesting of translations
Colors indicating translation status
Addendum: it seems Google Translate / Bing Translate have changed into being a paid services. Auto-translation is still available, yet you need an API key and billing information.
There is a extension for Visual Studio Code which works pretty well and it's cross platform.
