I am working an Outlook addin in C# recently. For several times I meet "internal error" exception when calling AddressEntry.Members property. (AddressEntry is the class in Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook namespace)
I searched the web but only found that the property is deprecated according to MSDN, but neither the reason nor the replacement are mentioned. Any information about that is really appreciated. Thanks!
It is still very much alive and well. It is the only way to access members of a distribution list.

I would like to understand why I can not continue my work with Carrot2. A message appears saying "Our apologies, the following processing error has occurred:

I'm having an Issue with a blog extension in Magento CE 1.6.2.0.
I installed this extension: Neotheme_nBlog.
I created an entry in the administrator.
Then I went to http://www.example.com/index.php/blog/ to see the recently created entry.
What I saw was an error like this:
Fatal error: Call to a member function getName() on a non-object
in /home/example.com/public_html/app/design/frontend/default/caramel/template/magicat/left.phtml
I searched in google the terms: "template/magicat/left.phtml" getName and what I only found is sites having this issue, but no support at all.
Please note: I know what does that error mean in PHP ("unfortunately" I'm not new at that). What I don't understand is what's happening with such [NON/null] object and how to fix it without killing a dozen of kittens.
Question: What can I do to solve it? What is the nature of the error, regarding Magento?(again: not PHP).
Notes: The Magento site (http://magento.stackexchange.com) is somewhat poor and strict to bring support of such nature, so asking there is not an option.

Neotheme is still not responding the request.
Don't know what should I look on such file (instances are not initialized there, but only accessed).
I'm using the default theme (caramel), which has esthetical changes (does not have layout changes).
It's hard to say without seeing your system specifically, but on this
template/magicat/left.phtml
It looks like you've added a template named magicat/left.phtml to your system -- either via an extension or custom development. Somewhere in this file PHP's called getName on a non-object. There's a variety of reasons this could be happening, and without seeing the specific line of code PHP's complaining about in your system, it's hard to say. It'd also be helpful to know if magicat is part of the extension or something else.
The most common reason for this error in a template is code that relies on a block being there that's been removed by another extension (eitehr via layout XML or observer methods)
$this->getLayout()->getBlock('some_block')->getName();
The next most common is people using the registry to communicate between templates and views, but a registry key not being set
Mage::registry('some_item')->getName();
Without knowing the variable and context, it's doubtful anyone will be able to help you.
currently I am trying to register a Doctrine-Eventlistener for every request in my FLOW3-Package. Some research pointed me to the Package.php, but unfortunately the ObjectManager is not available when the boot()-Method is called.
I searched the whole FLOW3-Documentation http://flow3.typo3.org/documentation/guide/partiii/bootstrapping.html without luck
Any hints on which is the right place to do package-wide setup with access to the object manager?

Why do you need a Doctrine Eventlistener, maybe you can use AOP to have this kind of feature ?
I'm working with some legacy exchange code and I am having trouble finding information about some methods/constants. A google search reveals others using similar code, but with no explanations. Does anyone have any ideas where I can find proper docs? One constant I am looking for is: SYNC_ASSOCIATED.
Exchange is a Microsoft protocol, so the best place to look is usually MSDN.
The MSDN library, however, seems curiously lacking on Exchange documentation, but an MSDN search looks in a few other places too.
In this case, it's led me to this blog post which gives you a number of constants as they would be defined in a C header file. SYNC_ASSOCIATED is defined as 0x10.
This is part of ICS, Exchange's mechanism for monitoring and tracking changes in a mailbox. See the ICS section of the bulk data transfer protocol spec.

Well, I have a problem creating test for a project that is built using Microsoft's Web Client Software Factory: I get a error that says:
Unable to set TestContext property for the class MyClassName. Error: System.ArgumentException: Object of type 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.TestTools.TestTypes.Unit.UnitTestAdapterContext' cannot be converted to type 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.TestTools.UnitTesting.TestContext'..
and the test never runs, any ideas?

What is the type of the TestContext property of your MyClassName class? According to the error message, it's the wrong type. Compare it with the tests that work.
Again, one of those seely details: I just had to update the reference of these libraries:
Microsoft.VisalStudio.QualityTools.UnitTestFramework
Microsoft.VisalStudio.QualityTools.WebTestFramework
from version 8.0 to 9.0. Really seely, but that worked.

This is the kind of non-specific answer I hate, but here goes anyway:
Use a different unit test framework!
I've spent at least 3 times more time fixing tests that fail because of MSTest's "features" than fixing code that has bugs.
Feel free to downvote this because it doesn't help Hugo. My true aim is to help warn others away from the MSTest beast.
