i have setup joomla 3.2 version, and i also have migrate my old website from joomla 1.5 to joomla 3.2 using JUpgrade tools, everything was fine at the beginning, all content was there, just need a few arrangement, in order to re-arranged a few page n article, i need some tabbing function, and i've search in extensions.joomla.org and i have found jkefel from jproven.com, i've download it and try to install it, then suddenly the page(site and administrator) goes blank. Do anyone know how to fix this? or how to rollback if there is any instead of setting up back from the beginning??...
==> Go to your site's database ==> #__extensions table.
==> find entries for that extension.
==> set published to '0' for all(if more then one).
By doing this, that extension will stop working and your site will up again.
==> Now go to Global Configuration of your site.
==> set debug to yes and Error reporting to 'Maximum'.
==> Go to Extension manager and enable extension again and try to browse your site.
==> Now you are able to see all issues of that extension.

I have tried to upgrade Joomla version from 3.5.1 to 3.6.4 from Joomla control panel by click on "Update Now" button. And got "ERROR: AJAX Loading Error: Forbidden"
Please see the screenshot http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/1107/5217107686.jpg
How can i fix the issue? Thanks advance for helping !
Here is what I would do, make a site backup.
Then manually updated by extracting the update patch package in the root directory. Go to the link below and find the package that is specifically intended for updating from versions prior to 3.6.X
https://downloads.joomla.org/cms/joomla3/3-6-4
Joomla! 3.6.4 Upgrade Package (.zip)
This package is for performing updates from Joomla! 2.5 and previous 3.x releases to 3.6.4
Please let me know if you have any issues with updating in this manner.

SOLVED THE PROBLEM !!!
Here is the total solution of my mentioned issue !! I tried hard to solve the issue in various way but failed.
I fixed my issue once followed this tutorials.
https://docs.joomla.org/J3.x:Upgrading_from_Joomla_3.4.x_to_3.5
Stay fine with Joomla !!!
"Forbidden" seems to indicate that there is a restriction accessing a file.
Some things to try:
temporarily revert to the default .htaccess file by backing up the current .htaccess file and copying htaccess.txt to .htaccess
reset file permissions by installing the free or paid version of Akeeba Admin Tools (if it's not already installed) and run the "Fix Permissions" tool
temporarily disable security extensions or tools that may be restricting access to the update files
In my particular case, it was the last suggestion which was relevant. I worked out how to bypass Sucuri as an administrator by adding an entry in my local hosts file to access
the website via its direct IP address. The update then worked flawlessly.
Migration or upgrade, whatever, I want to get rid of my 1.5 site. I read some articles, watched a few tutorials however I could not beat it.
First, I upgraded my 1.5.2 to latest 1.5.26. Then I installed jUpgrade 2.5.2 extension from admin panel, activated it but after clicking to upgrade: nothing happened. The big arrow is not clickable.
Then I downloaded redMigration. There were two distinct .zip files in it. "plg_redMIGRATOR_1.0.0_j15" and "com_redMIGRATOR_1.0.0_j25_j3". Former was installed as an extension and activated (also I did password operations) but there is nothing. No way to run it. When I tried to install "com_redMIGRATOR_1.0.0_j25_j3" from extensions, it says there is no XML file to install. So I am stucked! I've been trying it hard but I have nothing.
How can I fix these problems?
The not click-able issue is most likely down to the javascript not working.
When I've seen this before, it has been just that JUpgrade needs a newer version of Mootools.
Have you enabled the Mootools Upgrade Plugin?
See: http://docs.joomla.org/J2.5:Migrating_from_Joomla_1.5_to_Joomla_2.5#Enable_Mootools_Upgrade_Plugin
I am experimenting with Joomla 3.1.4. Whenever I add a new module the template does not show at all in the front-end. The site is blank. On disabling the new module it starts showing properly again. Even a basic hello world type of module does not seem to work and nor does a third party extension I have tried.
I can see them in the extension manager and in the module manager and they have installed successfully. Frustrated with all this I decided to install a new 3.1 template which too installed successfully. However this template does not show anything in the front-end either with my module enabled. It almost seems that there is some sort of security restriction which is disabling the template from rendering whenever any change is made to the basic installation.
Can someone please give pointers to resolving this odd behaviour?
Probably one or some of the core files required for the modules to work are missing.
Head to Global configuration and make sure your Error reporting is set to development. Reload the page and update your question with the error message.
Why not try the newer Joomla 3.1.5 (Download page)? I know that 3.1.4 had at least one problem which could possibly cause server errors in conjunction with extensions (the most likely reason for the blank page that you see).
In general, when encountering a blank page, the first thing to do should be to check the error log of your webserver!
I've upgrade my joomla version 1.5.26 to joomla version 2.5.4 and all the things has been upgraded successfully. So when i goes into my joomla module manager admin panel then it is not showing me any kinds of modules which was previously visible in my old version(1.5.26) but in my frontend panel it can be seen easily.Does anyone knows the solution how to fix it?
When you said you migrated, I assume you used an extension such as jUpgrade.
Migrating will update the core file and database tables and thus should show all the core Joomla modules in the Module Manager, however it does not upgrade your 3rd party extensions, therefore you will need to download the Joomla 2.5 compatible versions. This upgrade however, should be showing your core modules in the list.
I hope you took a backup of your 1.5 site. If you did, trying running the upgrade again and if you didn't use jUpgrade, I suggest you do so.
Hope this helps
make sure you're using the standard template for joomla. Go to module manager, choose Administrator in the first filter, and see if all modules are published in actual module positions (i.e. cpanel, status, footer, icon, login, menu, submenu, toolbar I guess that's it for administrator)
Please help!
I have an installation of magento v 1.5.1 and I want to upgrade it to 1.7 but when i try to
list upgrades, this is what i only see:
wp_theme_grayscale: 1.0.7 => 1.4.0
RicoNeitzel_VertNav: 0.3.1 => 0.4.0
Locale_Mage_community_fr_FR: 1.7.0.0 => 1.7.0.1
TBT_Enhancedgrid: 1.3.2.1 => 1.031
any suggestions?
after upgrading all,
and tried to list all upgrades again,
it couldn't see any upgrade anymore.
your help would be much appreciated.
EDIT:
I used this guide. http://turnkeye.com/blog/magento-upgrade-guide/
I did not get any error. the updates above are just the updates that i can see,
OK, I can share my successful experience of upgrading:
Go to System -> Magento Connect -> Magento Connect Manager
Log in using your username and password
Click on “Check for Upgrades” button
4.You will notice that most package rows turn to yellow. These packages are the only that have available updates. Go to each package row, click on “Actions” drop-down menu and select the most current stable version available.
Note: Stable version available may vary for each package. For example, some packages may have 1.7.0.2 upgrade version and others 1.7.0.1 or lower. Don’t bother with this, just pick the latest stable version available.
When you are done selecting upgrade version for all packages, click on “Commit Changes” button.
Now, you have to wait. Give it some time. During upgrading process, you may see various notes or outputs that may be tricky and you may think that the process is done. Well, IT IS NOT. Just wait, give it some more minutes. The process will be done when there is no activity in the “command line” like console for about one minute.
Click on “Refresh” button. You are almost done! Technically, you have completed the upgrade process.
Go to your cPanel file manager or your FTP client and delete EVERYTHING in var/ directory.
Last but not least, reindex data in Admin -> Index Management
When you enter admin section and scroll down, you will notice that it says “Magento ver. 1.7.0.2”
This process worked for me fine.
Please try to run
./mage list-upgrades
In some cases there might be no Mage_* entries in the list. In this case the following command can be used:
./mage install http://connect20.magentocommerce.com/community Mage_All_Latest --force
I got it working now.
what i did is after the upgrade, i re uploaded my database back up, and viola the error is gone. The error has a hint, and yes because of duplicate thing that it could not continue if the table already exist.
