I have a very old C project that must be opened using borlandc. my machine runs win 8 so I have installed dosbox to run borlandc
the problem is that when i build the project, there exist too many errors, all are in the form: "unable to include file "xxx.h"
kindly be noted that:
- all these header files are existing in the INCLUDE folder
- I have created the cfg file and set the correct path to that folder for the compiler, so as for the linker
- I have set the environment variables
and still have the same errors
can anyone help me with that?
Check the bcc32.cfgfile.It must be in the same directory as that of the bcc32.exe file..
Check this here.

I downloaded Gurobi and verified that my license is working.
I'm trying to add the Gurobi package to Julia, but it seems that the dll file can't be found, even though my GUROBI_HOME variable is okay.
Here is the output of Pkg.build("Gurobi") :
Found GUROBI_HOME = C:\gurobi902\win64
Does this point to the correct install location?
on Windows, this might be C:\Program Files\gurobi810\win64\
alternatively, on Windows, this might be C:/Program Files/gurobi810/win64/
on OSX, this might be /Library/gurobi810/mac64/
on Unix, this might be /home/my_user/gurobi810/linux64/
Note: this has to be a full path, not a path relative to your current
directory or your home directory.
We're going to look for the Gurobi library in this directory:
C:\gurobi902\win64\bin
That directory has the following files:
C:\gurobi902\win64\bin\grbcluster.exe
C:\gurobi902\win64\bin\grbgetkey.exe
C:\gurobi902\win64\bin\grbprobe.exe
C:\gurobi902\win64\bin\grbtune.exe
C:\gurobi902\win64\bin\grb_ts.exe
C:\gurobi902\win64\bin\gurobi.bat
C:\gurobi902\win64\bin\gurobi.env
C:\gurobi902\win64\bin\gurobi90.dll
C:\gurobi902\win64\bin\Gurobi90.NET.dll
C:\gurobi902\win64\bin\Gurobi90.NET.XML
C:\gurobi902\win64\bin\gurobi90_light.dll
C:\gurobi902\win64\bin\GurobiJni90.dll
C:\gurobi902\win64\bin\gurobi_cl.exe
C:\gurobi902\win64\bin\pysetup.bat
C:\gurobi902\win64\bin\vslauncher.exe
C:\gurobi902\win64\bin\vswhere.exe
We were looking for (but could not find) a file named like
libgurobiXXX.so, libgurobiXXX.dylib, or gurobiXXX.dll. You
should update your GUROBI_HOME environment variable to point to the
correct location.
Have you tried to look for the specific dll in your hard disk and update the GARUBI_HOME accordingly, as per error message? Did you double-check that this specific dll exists on that folder?
I am trying to make a naoqi package with qipkg (I dont know if this problem is specific to aldebaran naoqi or if it is a general windows problem)
qipkg make-package Pepper-Demo.pml
but I get the folowing error:
NotInPath Could not find executable: lrelease
qipkg deploy-package is working as it should.
I solved it with the folowing steps:
Check if there is a .exe file called lrelease in the folder at:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Softbank Robotics\Choregraphe Suite 2.5\bin
If not, search for the file on your computer using search in file explorer.
The error message displayed in which folders it searched for.
Go to the first folder it searched in (or create it) and paste the lrelease file.
I'm new here so I apologize if this question is breaking some rule or something. But this is becoming a problem for me. I downloaded Intellij and downloaded the lua plugin for it. Well, now I'm trying to configure lua sdk but everytime I put in the location for it, it says "The selected directory is not valid home for Lua SDK"
What is the valid home? What am I doing wrong?
The problem might be that your lua.exe file is actually named luaXX.exe where XX is the version.
In my case it was lua53.exe. I renamed just the lua53.exe file to lua.exe; I didn't rename the rest.
So at first I had:
lua53.dll
lua53.exe
luac53.exe
wlua53.exe
After renaming the file I have:
lua53.dll
lua.exe
luac53.exe
wlua53.exe
With this changed, the Intellij plugin detected the folder as a valid home.
while building a project in VisualStudio 2012 I get the error message
LINK : fatal error C1905: Front end and back end not compatible (must target same processor).
Checking the project manually does not help, all involved (static) libraries have been built for the same processor. I also added
/VERBOSE:lib and /VERBOSE
to command line to get some more information but this does not help, only additional output line I got by this was a stupid
Starting pass 1
So: any ideas how I can find out what causes this strange error message? How can I get more output from the linker?
Thanks!
Old question and I'm not sure whether anyone still need an answer. I had this problem with Visual Studio 2017.
Check paths for generated .obj files, especially when you use some .cpp files in more than one project (within solution) and/or use %(RelativeDir) variable in Properties -> C/C++ -> Output Files -> Object File Name. It happened to me with this path in Object File Name '$(IntDir)\%(RelativeDir)' and this $(ProjectDir)Junk\$(Platform)\ in Intermediate Directory. Error gone when I moved $(Platform) part to Object File Name.
Old paths:
Intermediate Directory: $(ProjectDir)Junk\$(Platform)\.
Object File Name: $(IntDir)\%(RelativeDir).
New paths:
Intermediate Directory: $(ProjectDir)Junk\.
Object File Name: $(IntDir)$(Platform)\%(RelativeDir).
You can also specify Object File Name option for each file, shared between multiple projects to keep using old path (or if new paths configuration isn't working for you) and get rid of that error.
I was looking for cross compiler which is compiling for MIPS-I version 1 target and I found this:
ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/others/sourcecode/toolchains/current-toolchains.tar.bz2
After archive extraction I copied "toolchain-mips_gcc-4.3.3+cs_uClibc-0.9.30.1" folder to /opt/ and added PATH to /root/.profile file like here:
PATH="/opt/toolchain-mips_gcc-4.3.3+cs_uClibc-0.9.30.1/usr/bin:${PATH}"
export PATH
then I'd log out and log in and thought that everything is all right, but it is not.
I can't even compile simple app. Here is the example output produced by dhcp-3.x compilation attempt:
http://pastebin.com/MPMwirhg
What's wrong ?
Do I still have to set up something ?
How to correct the problem ?
There are hardcoded paths in libraries, so that's why it didn't work. Placing "toolchain-mips_gcc-4.3.3+cs_uClibc-0.9.30.1" folder in /home/xfs/openwrt/trunk2/trunk/staging_dir/ makes it working ok
