When connecting an iOS device iTunes always shows the correct device icon.
Where are these icons located?
Thanks!
On OS X look in /System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Resources/ for icns files starting with com.apple.
Not an "official" source so don't use this in a Mac App Store app.
They are in /Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/Resources/DeviceIcons.rsrc
but I don't find RSRC editor for 10.x INTEL... anyways, I don't think you should just take apple's icons ;) [im no lawyer though]

I want to download my Mac application from xCode so i can use it myself.
I have gone through all the tabs at the top of xCode but don't find annything.
How can i do that?
After your App is build, you can find it under Products. To find it:
righ+click on the .app file
choose Show in Finder
It's been few days now that I have been looking for the section where you upload the Icon.
I have done this for iphones and it is in the modal screen when you clik edit.
Mac has very similar Itunes connect interface, but that piece is missing for me:
Im so confused, please advise. Here is the default icon:
I found the related documentation, it states:
If you are adding an OS X app, the Uploads section displays only one
option, Desktop Screenshot, which is required and shown next. You will
not be asked to provide a large icon when adding your OS X app because
it will be uploaded later as part of the binary.

I have created .icns using .iconset for my Mac app, containing all sizes of icon recommended by apple. But still I cannot see my app icon when I install and launch my app on Mac osX 10.5
Following Apple's current guidelines and using their latest toolset will give you icons that only work in newer versions of OS X. To get a set of icons that includes larger (#2x retina) resolutions and 10.5 compatible image formats, you need to use Uli Kusterer's oldiconutil.
Also, please see this related question--sometimes icon file sizes can be too large for 10.5, and require extra image compression.
I have a png and would like to generate an icon file for my xcode app. after a long search i found that mountain lion does not have icon composer anymore and that i should use iconutil instead. problem is that iconutil exepcts icon files as far as i understood, but i only have a png file. i have a mac only from 3 weeks so i am easyly confused here. what is the proper way to build a icon for my application starting from a png file? (i could also start from a .ico file)
could somebody please explain or point me to a good tutorial?
thanks

I think this is a duplicate of How to install iPhone application in iPhone Simulator. I don't see any method of flagging a question as duplicate, though.
See my answer at following post. You should clear your trash folder and reset it.For more detail click below link.
