Ajax validation for Go programs - go

Is there a Go package that supports data validation for restful apis?
It would be good if there were something similar to active model validation in Ruby?
I tried various ways but couldn't find something that offers good abstration of this need.

go-validator has support for tags and custom validators on top of the built-in ones. It can easily be added to the models for your API resources.

How can I use Codeigniter 3 validation library in other framework

I want to develop API in ZF2 framework and I want to use CodeIgniter 3 validation library for validate API request parameters. So is it possible or not. If possible so how can I do it. Suggest any solutions please.
Short answer is no. You can't use it in Zend or any other framework.
Form validation library of the Codeigniter is actually not a library, its just a god object which is tightly coupled to the framework's itself. It also contains multiple bad practices such as using global function calls, not respecting PSR standards and breaking multiple object oriented design principles.
I strongly recommend to use zend-inputfilter component. You can easily validate and sanitize any kind of incoming data using it.

best CRUD library for codeignitier?

Using codeigniter 2. Don't want to reinvent the wheel. Have tried Grocery_CRUD and found it takes as long, or longer, to learn it that it did to learn codeigniter.
Looking for crud library that makes sense, easy to learn so I don't reinvent the wheel.
Many thanks for any ideas.
You can use http://www.grocerycrud.com
It's easy to use with codeigniter.
Sample use
$this->grocery_crud->set_table('customers');
$this->grocery_crud->columns('customerName','phone','addressLine1','creditLimit');
$this->grocery_crud->render();
Also you can take look at https://github.com/jamierumbelow/codeigniter-base-model
This is very basic base model class for CI
Subjective but take a look at https://github.com/keevitaja/simple-crud-codeigniter
Why don't you try MY_Model to do all the CRUD functionality?
MY_Model
Just want to inform all you that I have released CRUDDER. This is a plug-in module for your application that works as a CRUD solution, ideal for systems back-ends.
CRUDDER is developed using CodeIgniter and Bootstrap for look&feel. You can develop your own skin appart from the Bootstrapped one. Full localization is possible. CRUDDER is designed to be intuitive and easy to use. The interfaces always show on-line help tips related to the CRUDDER itself and also to your database characteristics.
I'm attaching here an image of the CRUDDER example contained in the product web page so you can figure how easy it's to use.
On the other hand, you will find that configuration is very easy. There is no need to write code other than your own custom validation rules (more powerful than the CodeIgniter ones). There are only two classes: one contains all the functionality code and the other, Crudderconfig, encapsulates the configuration and localization parameters.
In contrast to other commonly used open-source CRUD solutions available, in CRUDDER all the table-and-field-specific metadata don't require to write code. All of this is contained in two "metatables", that can also be managed using the CRUDDER itself... so you use the CRUDDER to create your own CRUD rules (don't need to use phpMyAdmin, for example). This is a plus for users seeking for simplicity.
A full list of features is available:
Open the project web page
Among them:
Pluggable to applications not developed with CodeIgniter.
Sort, filter and pagination features, among others.
Soft deletes with unique-index collision avoidance.
Automatic menu-type form fields based on other tables content.
Extensible event triggering when a value is changed in a form.
Interface help tips for fields are contained in the database.
Designed with strong security in mind.
Take a look! Write me if you like it, have questions or want another functionality.
CRUDDER is released under the GNU LGPL license.

RESTful API with CMS Made Simple

I have a client with a content-heavy site built in CMS Made Simple. The redesign requires a mostly AJAX interface, and I think a frontend framework like Backbone or Angular would be the way to go.
I want to avoid moving off CMS Made Simple, though (client is used to that interface, it will be annoying to migrate all the data).
I think if I could find or create a RESTful api for CMS Made Simple, I'd solve my problem. But after searching around online, I only found CGSocialApp module, which seems to provide a limited API for things like user management. I've also looked into other AJAX solutions for CMS Made Simple, and there don't seem to be good modules for it.
If there is no ready-made solution for me, how complex would building a RESTful API module be? I haven't built a RESTFUL api in a PHP framework before.
Thanks for any guidance!
So, there is no easy answer for this question, as the CMSMS doesn't have a build-in RESTful API.
I would go for one of the two solutions:
1. Output the content as hand made json.
In CMSMS, you really have a lot of control on the templates. You could change the default templates to output json content instead of HTML content. The only issue is that the CMSMS will still send an http content-type header, that you can try to ignore in the JS part.
To access the menu, just remove it from the main template and create an empty page who output the {menu}with a custom template that also build json content.
That's the quick and dirty solution, but it should be very accessible in terms of doing it.
2. Create a dedicated module.
As far as I know, there are no modules that expose the CMSMS in RESTFul format, but a module is really very easy to build. Well, you can try to build it yourself, with the help of the community. It don't really solve the current problem, but it's a hint.
I hope it shed some light on the problem.

ExpressionEngine - How to implement Ajax?

This question has an answer that basically says to make template groups and templates act like controllers and output JSON like data.
Is this the correct way to do this in ExpressionEngine? or are there native, more "natural" way to do Ajax?
The best approach here likely depends on the data that you're working with. If you are looking to output JSON-formatted content from the core channel entries module then I'd recommend using Rob Sanchez's ExpressionEngine JSON plugin.
If you're working with a custom-built module then you might as well extend that a little further and implement a JSON method. For example, if you have a Widgets module you could create a json() method within that and then utilise it within templates via {exp:widgets:json var="foo"}.

Implementing ecommerce analytics with MVC Razor

I am implementing various analytic tracking services in an MVC3 site (Google, Coremetrics) and researching if a custom HTML helper or partial view would work better given the following details:
-Code runs multiple sites and business logic is needed to change analytic service account Ids.
-The class must accept an object with order details to render the appropriate tags.
-The code must know which view is being rendered.
The solution I am working on includes am HTML helper base class that accepts the needed objects and is inherited by each provider's individual HTML helper. These helpers will live on the common layout. Is there a better way of implementing analytics on MVC and are partial views better suited since business logic is needed?
The GA analytics tracking code is pretty simple, we also use ASP.NET MVC3 but have just dropped the necessary code directly into our 'Order Complete' view.
There's no reason why you couldn't use an HTML helper instead though. I suggest not overly complicating your object model. Just use a single helper that has parameters matching the parameters used in the JavaScript.
You should be able to find examples of eCommerce tracking code, add parameters as appropriate, done. You might want to create another overload that pulls GA ID and domain name from the web.config as in the example as well, but still accepts the order details as parameters.
