I have seen other posts but no answers, I have a Joomla 2.5 site that has lost the admin menu for the superuser (me), Mangers which have limited access and a cut down menu still have the menu How do I fix this so I can work on the web site?
Please try to open: /administrator/index.php?option=com_modules
Select Filter: Administrator and check settings for module Admin Menu.

I want to add a new menu to admin menu in back end of joomla that links to a specific module, I do it ,but when I click on it the menu that I created it

All admin menus in Joomla 3.3.1 suddenly disappeared!
I worked at the site's user groups and adjusted a little CSS using firebug, when I suddenly lost all admin menubar, buttons / content in the subheader and content in the header
None change in the core files and no errors are shown

This is not a programming issue. It's hard to know which exact change created the problem but if you are playing with user groups most likely you accidently put yourself into a group which does not have permission to see the menu module . Go to the module manager (add index.php?option=com_modules to the admin url.) and change the settings on the admin menu module to public ... then check to make sure that your user group has permission to see "special."
I have created a material assigned him his alias.

Generaly, To access Joomla Contents as : sitename.com/content-alias, you should check below things for your Joomla site:
You need to Enable "Search Engine Friendly URLs" from "Global Configuration" section of Joomla Site Administrator.
If it still doesn't work, you should create a "Menu Item" in any "Menu" from Joomla Menu Manager from Joomla Site Administrator. But, you must assign this menu item alias same that you want in you

Hi i have a problem in a Joomla site that i am editor.
I cannot see the little pencil that allows me to change a Joomla site content when i log in.
I have the rights to change the content but it seems i cannot.
And another question....
How can i see my account settings on that site so i can change the editor? It did showed me the account settings but i cannot seem to see then anymore.
Ps. I do not have access to the administrator page of joomla they just made me editor on the site.

They'll have to give you access to the front end editor - ask your administrator. They may have it turned off.
If they gave you permission to see your profile page you may be able to set the editor...again that's an administrator question.
I'm a newbie to Joomla. Is there any way to create a test page which is not visible to all but for those which are logged in? I have installed Joomla 1.6

You only need to switch the access permission from "public" to "registerd" in the article editing form.
You can create sample menu through 'menu manger' and assign an article to the that menu item.This menu item will not be visible to the users until you provide some link to main menu or some other visible menu managers.Now, You can access that page by using the following url "http://localhost/practise/index.php/[name of the menu]"
