How to install ARC without installing any ARC app - google-chrome-arc

Is there a way to install ARC extension in Chrome without installing any ARC app? We need to test our app on multiple machines (Desktop), but since there is no ARC app available in Chrome store which supports desktop versions of Chrome (other than Chromebook) which will download ARC while installing the app.
We are able to sideload ARC app as a zip file in chrome://extensions page. Do we need to install ARC welder app on each machine in order to install ARC?

Installing ARC Welder is the only supported way to get the ARC runtime on Desktop Chrome right now.

Cocoa/AppleScript - Downloading a file from a website with a progress bar - Xcode

I am creating a launcher/updater for my Unity game, and I'm using a Cocoa/AppleScript type project so I can download updates from my web server and launch them, but I have no idea how to do that, I would also like to implement a progress bar that shows people the progress of the download/update.
The OS is OSX 10.10 (Yosemite)
Xcode 5.1.1
For an app update, if it is not in App Store, the option that you have is Sparkle (http://sparkle-project.org/). if it is a single app, you will be able to use sparkle directly. If your product is a complex one with installer (pkg etc), you can tweak sparkle a bit to support that.

Unable to install Android / ARC app from Chrome Web Store on Chrome OS

I have an Android app which I "made into" a Chrome OS app by using ARC Welder, and published in Chrome Web Store (per documentation here: https://developer.chrome.com/apps/getstarted_arc).
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/aquamail/immkckhpjjkikagmhfnpjjcnaelegjel
( the app is called AquaMail )
Now, I don't own any Chrome OS devices, so Chrome Web Store just says "wrong OS" for me, but...
Someone with a Chrome OS device was unable to install the app with this message:
Unable to install "AquaMail" because it is not allowed by "App Runtime for Chrome (Beta)"
How can I find out what's wrong?
As first step, I guess I'd like to get a more detailed error message, how can the user do that? Is there anything equivalent to logcat?
Or maybe someone from Google / ARC team can try installing as a sanity check?
Unable to install "AquaMail" because it is not allowed by "App Runtime for Chrome (Beta)"
This is an error message indicating the user has an older version of ARC than the current one available. There used to be a whitelist that controlled what apps could be uploaded and installed but it has since been removed. This error message is a whitelist restriction being enforced.
Have the user check what version of ARC they have in chrome://extensions with developer mode enabled, and compare to the version that is currently shipping via https://arc-omahaproxy.appspot.com
If it is not current, they can try clicking "Update extensions", or more drastically they could uninstall all ARC apps and reinstall.

Download and install GAPPS APK from the official website.
Grant root permissions to the app and click next
This app will automatically detect CPU Architecture and Android version. please note it down
Then go to OPEN GAPPS WEBSITE
And then select desired Platform , Android version and Variant and click download button.
After downloading Gapps.zip file. Now Drag and Drop GApps.zip , Genymotion-ARM-Translation one by one then restart Genymotion.
Completely remove your Virtualbox and Genymotion. There are old registry files hidden in your computer which are preventing you from flashing Gapp properly.
Here are few links teaching you how to uninstall Genymotion and Virtualbox:
uninstall-genymotion-genymotion-removal-genymotion-windows-uninstaller
Don't download their software because it doesn't remove everything

And finally there should be a Genymobile folder in your
User -> (Username) -> AppData -> Local folder
Hope that helped
This issues is faced while you put this file in something wrong version of genymotion devices.
here you can get proper guide line for installing the gapps files in genymotion device,
it will be a different for all the version.so might be your file would not suitable for your version, so please follow the guideline
That'll happen when you're trying to install flashable gapps meant for a different api version. Make sure the device you're emulating in genymotion is the version the gapps is meant for.

How to install applications on blackberry z10 Simulator for testing

How to install applications to blackberry z10 Simulator, usually in older versions of simulator we used browse from file section -->load java program and load the desired file on simulator, But for BlackBerry Z10 The Simulator can be entirely run on virtualmachines(like vmwareworkstation),
The only way i figured it out is
create an bb sandbox account-->download the desired application from it, any alternative to install bar files/bb z10 files straightaway into simulator of blackberry z10?
I need to install without using eclipse, any ideas?
You'll need to use command line tools to do this without Eclipse. Some of them are listed here, and a complete deployment example is shown here.
You'll need a debug token for your simulator (blackberry-debugtokenrequest), package your app (I think you're already doing it as you're exporting to the sandbox) with blackberry-nativepackager, then deploy with blackberry-deploy.

Testing apps on a Firefox OS Phone Device

I have the Keon from geeksphone. The Mozilla developer site talks about using the emulator, but nothing about installing an application onto a physical device. It is a developer phone, so I assume there's a way to develop with it? I can host the app and test it in the phone's browser, but I'd prefer trying to package it up and actually install it onto the device.
Found it. Now I need to figure out how to install an XPI file...
Testing Packaged Apps
Android bridge API
Now I need to figure out how to install an XPI file...
XPI files are add-ons, which FirefoxOS does not support at the moment.
You want to install FirefoxOS Simulator addon file which is in .xpi format? If yes then just drag and drop the file onto Firefox Browser, it will get installed.
