I'm trying to play with NativeScript to create any simple android app. I've done step 1 from NativeScript's 'Getting Started' (setting up my osx environment) and right now, i have a barebones NativeScript app created with tns create and android platform added to it.
When running tns run android everything goes well and the final message before device debug logs (i'm not an android/ios/mobile dev so i assume that it's just some kind of debug log of what's going on connected device) is:

Project successfully built
Using /Volumes/HDD/Users/michal/Workspace/Sandbox/tns_hello_world/platforms/android/bin/tns_hello_worl d-debug.apk

However, there is nothing going on my device after that. No app is being launched, no error message. Just completely nothing.
My setup is:
OSX 10.9.5
Java 1.8.0_45
Samsung GT-I9100
Android 4.1.2
Have you any idea what am i possibly doing wrong? Thanks in advance.
Your android device is not supported by NativeScript. Use device with Android 4.2 (API level 17) or newer. You can also try it on emulator.

I verified in Android 8.1, it works fine.
First look, it looks like not working.
However, after changing the text "Play with NativeScript!" to "Hello world" in home.component.html, I could see the text. The homepage message ideally should say this.

I am trying to compile and run an app that is working fine in the iOS simulator, but with Android I'm receiving
"System.MissingFieldException: Field 'Xamarin.Forms.Slider.MinimumTrackColorProperty' not found."
when trying to put it through the simulator.
Any idea why it doesn't like me setting the MinimumTrackColor?
It looks like the stable version of Xamarin.Forms for Android doesn't include that property.
I've upgraded it to the development branch, and now it doesn't throw an error but the colors are still off. I'm guessing this is just part of the dev process of the nugget.

I've successfully compiled the Swift sample code onto my iPhone 6S, however, the status continues to remain in Trying to connect. I'm able to connect with the DJI app itself so it must be something to do with the code or some configuration. Any tips? Also, is there any way to connect to the Phantom with the iOS simulator or is it necessary to compile onto the device to be able to connect to the remote?

so that you can run your app from the iOS simulator.
As to connecting with iOS 11.0.2 - if you open your app, then un-plug and reconnect the USB cable with your app in focus, how does it go? Some issues are being seen with multi-tasking apps into the DJI remote controllers, and it's an issue that is being worked on.

You might have to plug the lightning cable into the phone after the application has already launched, then your Phantom 4 will appear.
I have 2 real android devices and I used them to test my android app (I am new at Android programing)
When I clicked "run" button, the dialog box showed me two of my devices:
Table 4.2.2 and Cellphone 5.0
After running, my tablet launched the app perfectly, but my phone (5.0) wouldn't launch, it even wouldn't install new app, I tried many time, and finally it run, but at the later time, I needed to remove previous app to run new app.
Please help me to resolve this problem.
Well, you have to remove the old version of your app all the time? If yes, you should use a keystore file for signing the app (and always the same). My device also refused to update an app because I didn't sign it with a keystore file. (I have one device with Android 5.1.1 and one with Android 4.2.2, had the same issue with the 5.1.1 one until I signed it)
I can't debug any application on my iPhone. XCode compiles the application, deploys it to iPhone, says it is running the app, and immediately I see the message "Finished running x.app on iDevice". Although the app crashes, it is copied to the phone. After this crash I can start the application on the phone without problems but can't seem to debug any project on the phone. No old projects, no new projects, everything seems to be broken.
There are lots of advices to solve this problem on SO but none of them helped me a bit.
I use XCode 4.6 on Mac OSX 10.8.2.
had the same problem when i changed the project name and the app name.
i've done several times reset to the simulator 'ios simulator' --> 'reset....'.
try it, also try to delete old app in device and simulator, do 'product' --> 'clean', and then try again.
it sounds silly but its working for me when i has the same issue.
Try changing the Version number in 'deployment target' in your App's target in XCode to something else.
Does it run in your Simulator?
Try running in some other device (some other device version,like 4S or 4)
Is the issue with iPad or iPhone or both?
I have upgraded my iphone to iOS5 to test my application behavior on iOS5
After verified it has issues, i have downgraded my device to iOS 4.3.5
since than I am trying to debug my application using XCode and get the following error:
Error starting executable
No provisioned iOS device is connected.
Does anyone know how to fix this issue - so i can debug my application again?

So i wanted to see what i see in the snapshot that the user had : and there it was...
I didn't see any information like he did, all i saw was
A button called "enable for debugging" if i'm not mistaken.
Clicked on it, and Worked like a charm.... :)
You could try deleting the provisioning profile from the device via the xcode organizer window, or within the Settings App on the device. Then add back your current prov profile from the iOS provisioning portal.
Also, make sure you have the debugging symbols/SDKs for that iOS under
/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/SDKs/[insert ios version folder here]
And:
/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/DeviceSupport/[insert ios version folder here]
