Can't open folder that was dragged and dropped to sidebar in sublime text3 - windows

I recently downloaded sublime text3. To get started I dragged and dropped a folder that contained a website to the sidebar. Now I can't open the folder to get to the files. I can't drag the folder back to the desktop either. The only thing I can do is drag the folder up and down the sidebar. Yet I look a videos and see demonstrations of folders being open from the sidebar. I removed another folder of some javascript files from the sidebar and lost it, completely. I installed sidebar Enhancements and now I can see more options but I still can't do anything with the folder. Is there a way to solve this problem?

You are not supposed to be able to drag the folders from Sublime's sidebar back into Windows Explorer (your desktop or any folders part of Windows GUI).
When you delete files from the sidebar, they should be moved to your Recycle Bin, check to see if the files are there.

How to hide deleted files in TextMate's file browser

How can I make downloaded files appear in "Recent" in Finder?

I'd like files downloaded via browser to also appear in "Recent" in Finder, as well as the normal content there. I really miss this functionality from Ubuntu and am aware of how much time and clicks it costs to not have it. How can that be achieved?
Recent folder is not connected with download folder. But you can drag download folder to the dock, then right click on folder and choose your settings you want.

Missing phpStorm project folder icons on OSX 10.10 in phpStorm explorer

I am working with the deployment feature to easily upload files to a server. So opening a specific project folder for which I have already set up deployment gives me the opportunity to work with the project files instantly and also upload them without any problems.
The problem is with opening the right folder. When setting up deployment for a project you choose a folder as the 'root' folder for this one project and when one wants to load this settings he has to choose the right folder when opening a project. Sometimes there are some differences which folder is chosen as root (most of the time the folder is 'domain', but sometimes it's another folder).
When I now want open a project folder to work with the files and have the deployment ready, I can not recognize in the popped up window which folder is the right one. Friends of mine (win8/Linux) tell me that they have a phpStorm icon instead of the standard folder icon.
On the other hand I told OSX to show me the hidden files on my system which results in following:
As you can see Finder shows me the .idea file, so at least I know the folder I am at right now is the project folder. But I in the future I don't want to check first in Finder, which folder the right one is and then open phpStorm to open it there.
I hope anybody understands my problem :). Thanks for any tips, really annoying topic.
Update:
Maybe the problem comes with the fact that phpStorm on OSX uses Finder as the explorer when trying to open a project folder. The explorer on Windows looks similar
I posted on the jetbrains helpforum, the 'answer' was:

Nothing anybody could have find out themselves, there does not seem to be a better answer than "give the folders related to PHPStorm the right icon, manually".

Sublime text 3065 sidebar root directory

OK so if i want to create a new project i drag and drop a folder onto the sidebar, after which the contents show up in the sidebar.
My question is, is there any way to hide the root folder (as indicated)?
To clarify, I dont want to have to go inside the 'Wordpress' folder and add the substructure manually to create a project (ctrl+a , drag drop). I just want to be able to drag and drop the root directory (Wordpress in this case) and have it add all subfolders / files without it showing the root Wordpress Folder.
I just find it annoying for example, if i wanted to get into wp-admin the possibility of misclicking and collapsing the entire directory.
No, there is no way to do this. The base folder is the base folder, and is the container which holds all its files and subfolders. If you remove it, you have no way of identifying where the contents are located. If you want quick access to one of the subfolders, just add it to your project.
Additionally, with the latest releases of ST3, mis-clicking the wrong folder is no longer an issue, as Sublime remembers all the open subfolders, and the entire chain will be restored just like it was if you clicked again.

Opening DMG Files in a new Finder window

I have made a .dmg file for my application but, when I open up my .dmg file it opens with the sidebar included. It most of the applications I have seen, the .dmg file opens up a new Finder window without the sidebar. How would I acheive this?
You can control that by creating a .DS_Store - This is a "Directory Services" Store file, which is used by Finder to setup the position of the various icons in the folder, etc. The problem is, the format is very poorly documented. However, there is a workaround: Open up your to-be-in-DMG folder prior to packaging the DMG, make it so that the sidebar is hidden, and then create the DMG. When the DMG is created, it will contain the .DS_Store hiding the sidebar. You can see a bit more on this in https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/69467/consequences-of-deleting-ds-store
The easiest way to do this is just to pay for one of the utilities out there that builds disk images for you.
I use dropdmg, but there are plenty of others. (I'm not affiliated to any of them)
