I have 3 domains sharing the same Magento installation:
mobilmonster.com, mobilmonster.it and movilmonster.es
For some strange reason domains mobilmonster.com and movilmonster.es look ok but mobilmonster.it template is all messed up. (sorry I can´t be more technical than that)
I´m not sure if it´s a missconfiguration from my behalf or there´s actually something wrong in the code, a deleted file, etc.
All suggestions welcomed!
you are missing design to be set for the site. check attched screenshot.
After doing this delete the cache directory from var directory or FLUSH ALL MAGENTO CACHES.
Maybe you setup the addon domain incorrectly so its not inheriting the design.
Or in some cases, you have to select the store view, and resave the theme settings. Some themes generate settings based css, and has to be regenerated by resaving the settings, and flush cache.

I often have the admin pages for my staging sites and my production site open simultaneously. There's a big risk I'll inadvertently take an action on the wrong site so I manually edit the admin css files for each to make the toolbar a different colour in each. That way I can see instantly which site I'm on.
I was wondering whether there's a way of injecting a class (or something similar) from the htaccess file for each site. This is something fixed for each site so wouldn't need me to edit the css file each time I make a change that affects it.
You could include an empty css file in your admin theme, then put it on gitignore and fill in your desired deviation on the staging system. Just make sure you override the default css that is not on gitignore.
We have a Magento site running on version 1.7.0 on the Argento theme that seems to be having intermittent issues with products not appearing. This appears to happen on certain pages and not others.
For example, if you add a product from the homepage or single category pages, it will show immediately as being part of the cart (note, Argento uses AjaxPro for the cart). However, once you navigate to another page, say "My Cart" or "Checkout" the total will show as zero. Doing a hard-refresh on the browser will update the total.
Additionally, if you open the Chrome Dev tools, navigate to "Network" and then check "disable cache" everything runs perfectly.
Things we have tried to resolve this:
Flushing/Clearing/Disabling the Magento cache. Seems to make things slightly better but doesn't clear up the issue.
x-cache-control meta tag. Same as above, issue seems to be less frequent but still definitely appearing.
Turn off AjaxPro. Our initial belief was that this plugin was causing issues, but turning it off has no effect.
Re-Index. Has no effect.
Added $.ajaxSetup({"cache" : false}) at the top of our scripts. This also has no effect.
Any advice or tips on where to look next would be appreciated.
It turns out that our hosting provider had set up the installation with the sessions stored in memcache. We switched this over to file storage in our local.xml and it fixed the issue.
I installed opencart 1.5.6 on my localhost, and it's not possible for me to change the theme. The admin panel says the new theme is active, but the default theme always appears.
I made the same installation on a remote server, and everything is working well there.
I have no idea what's wrong on my localhost. I'm on a new installation on Ubuntu 12.4 with a default configuration for LAMP. I tried to compare the two phpinfo but there are so many things that are different that gives me no clue.
It was just a problem of rights on the theme folder. Very stupid ...
First, I would check your database to see if the change is registered. Use phpMyAdmin (or whatever included with your LAMP stack) and look at the "oc_setting" (prefix may differ) and see if the config_template is set to the template you've chosen via the admin. This will help identify if the issue is database related.
I have the solution, the ACTUAL solution. (For me anyway)
Extract the theme.
Login to your OpenCart website using FTP. Please read our article if
you need help using FTP.
Upload the catalog and images folders to the root of your OpenCart installation.
Once the upload is finished, log into your OpenCart Dashboard and go
to System > Settings
Choose your website from the list, check the box next to it, and select “Edit”
In the store tab you will now see your new theme option available under 'Template'
Click Save.
It has now been updated.
Many, many tutorials online at the moment incorrectly instruct people to upload their theme directly into the catalog > view > theme location as though it were a WordPress theme or similar. You actually need to put the appropriate resources where they need to be.
I've got a Magento site however when I login into the admin area to create a new CMS page the content box is appearing in the Page Information tab and not the Content tab. This is causing the validation to fail when I add the content.
Any help would be much appreciated
Try disabling any third party extensions/customizations you may of installed.
It could also be caused by corrupted database entries.
Try reinstalling Magento to a new database and seeing if the issue persists.
If it's fixed, then it's a problem with your data. If it isn't, then it must be a extension or customization causing the bug.
Go to System>Configuration>Advanced and you will see a brand of extension you recently installed. Set it to disabled and hit Save Config. Flush Cache, log out and log back in to admin and it should be corrected. If it is, contact the extension creator and report the bug as it shouldnt do that. The only realy way for that to happen is for something to overrule its placement which would be a 3rd party extension.
The other possibility is that you moved some folders in adminhtml by accident. If thats the case, try uploading an original copy of adminhtml.
I can't seem to figure out how to disable the header as a whole. I have installed the blank theme, and have been playing in the page XML, but to no avail. I also cannot seem to switch from 2columns-right to 2columns-left, even though i've run searches for every damn file that includes the phrase and swapped it. I'm wondering if it's just not displaying to me, but I've disabled my catch, repeatedly clear it, and have even tried disabling cookies. Anyway, once all this is done, how do i add static pages and my own navigation.
Sorry I know this covers several questions, but I have been tirelessly searching and experimenting on my own to no avail.
thanks!
I can answer the part about adding new static pages.
Go to Admin , Under CMS->Manage Pages ... choose add new Page
Well, I have some of the problems. I did lots of modification to default/mystore/layout/something.xml but saw nothing happen in the frontend.
Then I did the same modification in default/default/layout/something.xml and now changes where done.
For now for me it seems that I can only modify template files in default/mystore/template but not layout files in default/mystore/layout.
Maybe your issue is the same, that Magento is using the default files and not your theme files?
