Apple TV not detected by Xcode or iTunes - macos

I am developing an Apple TV app using OSX 10.11.1, Xcode 7.1.1, and iTunes 12.2.2.25. My Apple TV is a 3rd generation model.
My Apple TV is not detected by my iMac. It's also not detected by iTunes.

You need an Apple TV 4th generation to develop apps. The 3rd generation Apple TV is not supported by the new tvOS platform.

The truth is, XCode 7+ will actually show the Apple TV as unsupported, but listed in the device list. Also it will show up in the iTunes as Apple TV 3rd gen. You just cannot use the 3rd gen as development device.

Apple TV Pairing With Xcode 12

Im trying to pair my Xcode(12.2) with My Apple TV 4K. The Apple TV is visible in the device and simulators window. After clicking "Pair With Apple TV" the TV shows 6 digit code and after entering it, my Macbook is shown in Apple TV's "Remote App and Devices" window. But my Xcode is unable to detect my Apple TV and my device and simulator Window looks like this. Anybody here facing the same issue ? Please Advice. TIA Screenshot
I had the same issue. I've just repeated clicking "Pair With Apple TV" and it helped.

iOS 11 Simulator native apps location

I'm using Xcode 9 and would like to find where are located the native iOS apps (Contacts, Maps, Photos, News, etc) that run inside the Simulator.
According to the answer at iOS Simulator App Location, they used to be at
/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneSimulator.sdk/Applications
but this is not the case anymore.
Any ideas where I can find them now?
In Xcode 9, they are now located here:
/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/Library/CoreSimulator/Profiles/Runtimes/iOS.simruntime/Contents/Resources/RuntimeRoot/Applications
The applications in this folder are the following:

Apple TV wireless debugging Unable to connect

I am trying to pair my apple TV (4th Gen) running tvOS 11.1 with Xcode 9. After entering the pairing code, Xcode tries to setup the Apple TV for wireless debugging and enabling development mode, but fails with the error
"An error was encountered while attempting to communicate with this device. (End of file.)" See below image
Note that I was able to pair with my apple TV successfully and run an app on it couple of weeks ago using Xcode 9 wireless debugging feature. Wireless debugging works fine for iphone and iPad. Now, I seem to be having problem with my Apple TV.
UPDATE: Now I have tried even resetting my AppleTV, still same issue.
Xcode 9 Devices and Simulators Window
I have tried restarting my apple TV and tried reconnecting it with Xcode multiple times, but I get the same error always.
Do I need to reset my apple TV or is there any other work around available to fix this issue ?
As it turned out, I had to use Xcode beta version, as I was installing app on the beta tvOS version. I didn't notice that Apple TV was updated to tvOS 11.1 which is in beta at the moment.
Solution: Using Xcode 9.1 (beta) to install the app on Apple TV 4 worked perfectly.

Add Apple Music track to iTunes on OSX

As per this article, it is now possible for third party apps running on iOS 9.3 to add Apple Music track to a user's playlist.
Is there something similar on the latest OSX?

Will iPod touch 5th gen device with iOS 8.2 support apple iWatch

I had an iPod touch 5th gen device running on iOS 7.2, and i upgraded it to iOS 8.3. But the "Apple Watch" app which should come by default as i see in iOS 8.2 simulator, is not available in my device.
So, my question is, will my device support apple iWatch synchronisation ?.
Apple have clearly told us that the iWatch will only work with iPhones. There is no reason to think that any iPod can support it. The press release told us
"Apple Watch is compatible with iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus running the latest version of iOS 8." (http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2014/09/09Apple-Unveils-Apple-Watch-Apples-Most-Personal-Device-Ever.html)
Short answer YES
Except old devices that wont support iOS 8.*
If there won't be official app for the sync like the one you showed, there will be community made one, be sure!
