Kibana Dark Theme Not Loading? - elasticsearch

have a kibana dashboard and system loaded up and password protected.
It would appear that even though the URL preferences a dark theme, it automatically loads to the light theme?
No pun intended, can you shed some light onto this and perhaps share a solution?

Solved (sort of). In short, it is a verified bug at this point. You can read more about it here.

Fooling a Windows program into thinking Windows has a different theme

Here's a recurring problem I've had.
I love using a dark theme for my Windows 7 computer. Unfortunately, the only way to get a really dark theme is by choosing the "High Contrast Black" color style, even though I don't really want high contrast, just darkness.
My theme works great, except that once in a while, there's an app that shows terrible colors because of it. Chrome is one example. I managed to fight that off using the Forced Colors setting, but that setting may be removed in the future, and then I'll be in a big problem.
I'm guessing that each app has some kind of API to ask the operating system about the theme colors. Is there any way to intercept that call and change the data, so specific apps will think that I'm on a non-high contrast theme?
Other ideas and solutions would also be interesting to hear.

WebStorm built in terminal colors don't get updated once theme has been changed from black to white

I frequently switch between black and white themes of WebStorm when working in different day/night light conditions. One thing that always annoys me is that I have to manually close terminal in order for it to switch colors.
That's the only part of the interface that doesn't update automatically. Looks like a bug to me.
Is there any way to work around this issue?
Known issue, please follow IDEA-170747 for updates; unfortunately no workarounds exist for this issue - except for re-opening terminal tabs after switching UI theme

Roboto Condensed google font not rendering correctly in Firefox

Yesterday a colleague of mine noticed a big inconsistency between the rendering of the google Roboto Condensed font on our site, when displaying on Firefox and Chrome. On Firefox the font doesn't seem to be the same at all.
I did some reading here on stackoverflow, but I can't seem to understand if this problem is the same as mine, because the person is using local fonts, and I'm serving directly from google.
Also it seems like somewhere in the wordpress installation, the Roboto Condensed font is being called twice - once imported directly from the theme, once imported by a plugin we're using to customize the menu of the site.
On the other hand, I read that different font weights being used on the same font might produce different results in different browsers, but couldn't grasp what is the right way to use them.
Any help will be appreciated. Here is the site that I'm talking about:

This is resolved now.
Turned out that I wasn't loading Roboto Condensed with included cyrillic characters included. Just loaded up the proper version of the font and everything went fine.

Browser's not displaying images correctly

Long story short, all images in browser are displayed wierd.
Here is the comparison between browser and window's image viewer on the same image (downloaded) :http://imgur.com/89XYxkj
This problem started on chrome, so I installed opera because the problem was persistent and found no answer to my question. Now after a while the problem started to appear on opera too. I'm baffled why this suddenly happened and why is persistent even after windows restart...
I have no idea why this would happen, so maybe you can help me.
Chrome on my machine started doing this around the same time. After some digging around and trial and error I think it's having issues with some monitor colour profiles.
I did manage to get a workaround in the end by changing the colour profile of the monitor to sRGB IEC61966-2.1. In Windows 8.1:
Control Panel > Color Management then select your monitor.
Make sure Use my settings for this device is checked.
Add the sRGB IEC61966-2.1 profile and set it to default
Restart Chrome and you should be able to see the proper amount of colours again.

unable to detect theme changes in Windows Phone

I am creating a Windows Phone application using default theme resources provided.
I am facing an issue with theme changes that when i change theme from light to dark and vice versa, the change is not immediately seen in my application. I am not using any custom colors.
But if i close my application and start again, theme changes are applied then.
Can somebody help me, to see if i am doing something wrong?
Any help will be highly appreciated
Thanx in advance
This is by design.
The theme settings are set when an application is first started.
It is not expected to respond to changes made at a system level while in a deactivated/tombstoned state.
In reality, I've only ever seen this noticed during testing. People don't change their themes and accent colors that often.
