Create and show a PDF file from a Lotus Notes action - pdf-generation

I'm using an action inside a form to create a Word document, using the CreateObject("Word.application") method, then I modify it to my liking and save it in a temp directory.
I can show the Word document as soon as it is created by calling nameOfTheDocument.visible(true), and by modifying the Save action I can save the newly created document as a PDF, however I can't find a way to show it to the user.
Trying to call visible(true) on the PDF object results in error "Instance member VISIBLE does not exist"

Hmmm... The best and right way - use OS file association.
I'm use java way:

But you can call this command on Lotusscript:

We have used the Shell command to launch PDFs in the past. Something like the below. The only downside to this is if the location of the executable changes (whether from upgrade or change to a different program) the code breaks.

Extendscript in Indesign not creating or writing to file

I am writing a script for Indesign that collects the contents from TextStyleRange objects, adds them to a javascript object, and should then write out a JSON file with the stringified JSON.
I can create the JSON just fine, with the contents from all of the TextStyleRanges in the current document, however the final file never gets written.
Here is a simplified example of what I have:

I have also tried with file edit but no luck:

Actually it was simply that I needed to create the subfolder first:

After adding this to my script the folder and the file were created successfully.

How to save a file with password in UFT

I am using UFT 12.5. During run time it opens excel and word. Then it writes some data in the both files. After that, I would like to save both files with a new name and then password protected. I need to be able to enter password manually to open it. So far, I have written the below code and I getting an error at the last line.

You need to pass correct parameters with SaveAs method. Check this link for more info.

Per comments from OP
If you want to save file with ReadOnly, you have to use WriteResPassword parameter this way:
ExcelFile.SaveAs newfile, , , "test"
Note that I've two empty parameters for FileFormat and
Password respectively.
This way it will ask for password to open the file in write mode and if you won't provide the password, file will be opened in ReadOnly
mode.

SAP GUIXT - Pass Variable and run script

I would like to create an "input field" in SAP that uses the passed value within a vb script. To give a specific example, I would like to open FBL5N, pass an invoice into a field and view the invoice in VF03. The script to do that is ready and works for a hardcoded value of invoice or thru VBA.
Here is the GUI script part

Open files with common name part

First of all, please excuse my shortcomings in presenting my issue as I haven't got much knowledge in VBA. Your help would be kindly appreciated.
I am working on a project that would imply putting the content of three different Excel files from three different sub-folders into one Excel file, and then run some macros in order to process the data they contain. Since I've already set the processing macros, my issue relies in importing the content correctly.
The problem I'm facing is that I don't have the exact names of the files I would like to open, and that they would change each month. Therefore, I can't use the "WorkBooks.Open" command that requires a precise name. However, the files have predictable name formats. For instance, one of the sub-folders will be comprised of files named "XXX-jan2013.xls", another one "january2013-XXX" and the last one "XXX-01/2013".
My goal would be to input the month and year manually, for instance “01/2013”, and then open all the files containing "January”, “jan” or “01" in their names.

You need to build a list of the paths and the expected file masks. You can then loop each matching file and do your stuff.

How do I load data into the Data Portal of DIAdem with VBScript?

I want to load a ".tdm" file into DIAdem (National Instruments) with a VBScript but can't find how to do this. I have Dialog which opens a browse-window, which returns the path as a string. So I was hoping to have a function which would work something like this:
