The trouble started after I go from version 2.48.2 to 2.53.0. Before everything worked fine. But I can not use the old version, the error stays.
When I delete all files in m2/repository/org/apache/httpcomponents, the tests can start. But when I run my grails application afterwards, older httpcomponents are downloaded and my test do not run any longer. In my project structure just the new jars are included


I found the solution:
From other projects, there was this maven repository:
/.m2/repository/org/apache/httpcomponents/httpcore/4.2.2
After deleting this folder, everything works fine. So I have to update the other project to use a new version

Intellij build artifact configuration for spring boot

We're working in a Spring Boot project. Till now, I used to generate the jar file with IntelliJ (community edition) via Build Artifact, but since few days ago, the generated JAR is no longer having the normal structure of:
/BOOT-INF
/META-INF
/org
but a "normal" java jar structure with all the packages at the root level.
Output is generated in the "out" folder as per my config (see below)
It is obvious that I changed something either because in my team the pom.xml has changed in some way I'm not able to find, or because I changed the IntelliJ config.
The most funny thing is that if I go to CTRL-E -> Maven -> (My Project) -> package, or alternatively I run from the command line "mvn package" this generates a perfectly well formed Spring Boot jar named xxx-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT in the "target" directory
Note the difference between "target" and "out"
In my CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-S -> Artifact config I'm not aware of having changed anything:
The artifact entry, JAR -> From modules with dependencies, the output directory named "out", the manifest selected from the "resources" and not from the "java" dir, etc.
My pom.xml, of course has been modified several times lately, but still has the expected build section with:

Reinstall IntelliJ, including version 2020.3.2
Reinstall Maven on my Ubuntu 20
Change IntelliJ Maven config at File -> Settings -> Build... -> Build -> Maven -> Runner and forcing JDK 1.8

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: gherkin/formatter/Formatter for cucumber 4.3.1

I'm using cucumber-java 4.3.1 with gherkins 5.1.0
When I execute my script with maven command "mvn test" its works fine but when i try to execute single feature file its gives "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: gherkin/formatter/Formatter"

Is it currently possible to run Arquillian tests on Spring beans?

From what little experience I have of running Arquillian tests with the Arquillian Spring Framework Extension, it seems to me that things are severely broken at the moment.

I'm running into a strange issue where I have two dependencies in my Maven file that both define BasicLineFormatter.class. The issue that I am running into is that one of my dependencies obviously uses a different version that the code is expecting and it throws and error.
How can I tell Maven that I want to use my standard http-core dependency for this class rather than the one that is causing an issue.

My code is getting the BasicLineFormatter class from the Tika dependency which is causing the issue. I want it to be coming from my defined http-core which is the correct version. It also seems to be ignoring the ordering the dependencies in the file.
