Is is possible to change the location of the uipath log files? The reason is ask is that I have built a console application that has I'd like to show a parsed version for certain messages. I have tried looking in the studio application, and I am not familiar with the uipath config file
Yes it is possible to change the log file location.Open the Nlog.xml file located in UiPath folder in Program Files(x86) folder in C drive.

This is the path of log file. You can edit this path as per your need. Use Notepad++.
Better way is to add your own Log either in your own database SQL/MySQL/ or even in Acces/Excel files

I am relatively new to R studio, I am attempting to import a .RNK file to run on GSEA. However, the pathway to my working directory is lost and I keep receiving a file, "rt" warning message.
When comparing my working directory with my usual windows explorer file, the files themselves are absent from the working directory.
I have attempted to change the Default text encoding to UTF-8 but this has had no effect. I would be grateful for any suggestions to help with this problem?
That is a very common problem!
You have four options to select the correct file and path! Hope at least one can work well.
Manually without code, you can go to the top and choose Session->Set Working Directory -> Choose Directory... and then select the file.
You can just use the function file. choose() and look for the file on your computer and select it.
You can look for the file path on your computer and write it in R. Look in the local search engine for your computer and search for the file. For example: setwd("~/Desktop/University/Homework")
You can use getwd() in the console to know where the script is working and saving the files and then look for the files there!
PD: the best way to work in R and R-Studio/Posit for me is by creating a project. Doing so, you will have everything related to the script in one folder (new and old files!). It is similar to setwd()but better!
I have a client application where we try to check files in and out from SharePoint for editing. I am using SharePoint's SOAP interfaces and some FrontPage interfaces to do this. It used to work fine under SharePoint 2007, but with 2010 I can't check out or check in a file if I have the file open for editing. I get a message like "FileXXX is locked for exclusive use by DOMAIN\user" when I examine the returned error message. I also cannot update any of the user defined SharePoint fields for a file/list if the file is open for editing.
My question is this: Is there a way to change the access/lock for an open file to make it non-exclusive temporarily and then restore it?
Note: Some of my data files are opened using windows file handles (flat files) and others are opened using windows structured storage (compound document files).
This may not work for Sharepoint specifically, but the ReOpenFile() API does what you want. I don't know of any other way to do this.

As I know windows os identifies associated application of a particular file by file extension.
Like wise each file (binary) starting with corresponding symbols ("starting symbols"). For an example .JPG starts with ÿØÿà. Let say I open this .JPG file in a Hex editor or a Text editor and then I change that starting symbols into another file type. for an example I can change ÿØÿà to .Eߣ (.mkv). So when I double click on the .JPG the Windows Photo Viewer says there are some errors or similar message. So I need to get some information about the application that tries to open that kind of a file. If I can, I need to open that file using the application that associated with "starting symbols".
Briefly when I open .JPG I need to open a default video player .mkv files. But It may not work for this example. Because I changed only the "starting symbols" of my .JPG.
Please give me any idea to do this.

When you encrypt the file, give it a new extension. e.g. Picture.jpg becomes Picture.encrypted-jpg. You then register as the handler for encrypted-jpg, decrypt the file, then launch the normal jpg handler.
When the shell is asked to perform a verb on a file, the shell does not use the contents of the file to determine which app to pass it to. The file extension is what determines how the file will be treated.
You wish to use the contents of the file to influence which app processes a shell verb. In order to do so you would need to create a launcher app that reads the file header and then decides which app to pass the file on to. You would assign your launcher app as the handler app for all file extensions that you were interested in.
Although you could do this, it would be much easier just to set the file extension appropriately.
The proper way to do this sort of thing is to replace the files with reparse points.
The downside is that this involves writing a file system filter driver, i.e., an operating system extension, which is a whole level of trouble above and beyond ordinary application programming. (Since Windows already does file encryption, I doubt it would be worth the effort.)

When you get an FSEvent for the folder containing your file, check your file's mod date to see if it's the one that changed. FSEvent doesn't offer finer granularity than that.
Problem: I have to support users who need to edit web pages. Some of these web pages exist only as textarea controls. Fortunately, there is a firefox plugin that allows the user to open the textarea in a default text editor. Unfortunately, this plugin requires you to point to the EXE file of the text editor you want to invoke.
This is a reasonable requirement, but ##$%^ Microsoft Expression Web is one of those applications whose shortcut .lnk file does not appear to point to a real EXE file. If there is an EXE file somewhere, it's hidden.
Question:
How can I locate the actual EXE file so people can configure Microsoft Expression web to be their editor of choice?
Update: I should have emphasized that I was looking for a way to automate this via script or batch file (hence the SO posting, in case anyone's "not-programming-related" spidey sense was tingling).
I found my executable in the following location:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Expression\Web Designer\EXPRWD.EXE
I'm not sure if that gives you what you need, but you can always have your users (or programmatically) search for EXPRWD.EXE and go from there.
