Why is that I can open a Web Site using Visual Studio 2019 Professional but I can't create one? I am using Visual Studio 2019 16.0.4. I can create a new site in VS 2015 and then open it in VS 2019, but there must be an easier way.
I have checked all the menu options but cannot find a way to create a new website like I can in Visual Studio 2015.

I am trying to build a VS 2017 solution which includes a Visual Studio Installer Project with the just released Visual Studio Pro 2019. Of course, when I tried to open the solution I got an error because there was not Visual Studio Installer project type in VS 2019. And, I cant find a place to load it from.
How do I add a Visual Studio Installer Project type in the released version of VS 2019?
Install the addin in Visual Studio 2019:
This extension provides the same functionality that currently exists
in Visual Studio 2015 for Visual Studio Installer projects. To use
this extension, you can either open the Extensions and Updates dialog,
select the online node, and search for "Visual Studio Installer
Projects Extension," or you can download directly from this page.
This extension is designed to work with Visual Studio 2017 and
Visual Studio 2019.
Hellow all, I am using Visual Studio 2017 professional edition. I am unable to open Lightswith (.lsxtproj) projects from it. When I searched in blogs, I received a suggestion of installing the Office Developer Toos for Visual Studio using Visual Studio installation window--> Individual Components --> Development activities section but couldn't help.
Can someone tell me what else I sould install/add in order to open Lightswitch projects using Visual Studio 2017 professional edition.
Hi guys im using Microsoft Visual Studio 2013, but in my college, all of the computers using microsoft visual Studio 2012. Is there is possible if i save my project (from visual studio 2013) then i open it on visual studio 2012?
Visual Studio 2013 has a feature called "Solution Round Tripping", which means that a solution created in Visual Studio 2012, under certain circumstances, can be edited by both Visual Studio 2012 and 2013.
There are limitations though, as you can't open a solution in 2012 that uses new features or frameworks that are not available in 2012. Makes sense right? Generally, when you create the solution in 2012 and then open it in 2013, your chances are high.
I have just installed Visual Studio Professional 2013 and wish to write an add in for Outlook 2010, however there is only an option to start a new project for an Outlook 2013 add in. When I search for more templates under the web option I can not find what I want. Is there a way to create an Outlook 2010 add in without installing a different version of Visual Studio? Or will a 2013 add in work in 2010?
At the New Project dialog, first change the .NET Framework target version to 4.0. Combobox at the top of the dialog. You'll then see the Office 2010 project templates as well.
I will like to create something similar to: http://www.add-in-express.com/docs/net-excel-rtd-servers.php
When I open visual studio I do not have that project type even though I am running it as an administrator...
what do I have to do so that I can have that project type (ADX RTD Server) on visual studio?
You simply need to have Add-in Express for Office and .net installed. There is no trial version for Visual Studio 2010, but if you have VS 2012, you can download a 60-day evaluation version of Add-in Express from Visual Studio Gallery:
