i'm trying to install Adobe XD on my system but i'm halted by an error that comes in form of a dialog box, it says "The operation was cancelled due to some restriction in effect on this system, please contact your system administrator." My windows 10 is up to date and i have the 1607 anniversary update.
Try this solution. It worked for me. For error code 191.
First find Microsoft Store and open it.
Then find the 3 dots on the upper right hand corner. Click it and then click Updates and downloads. In that window locate apps installer and microsoft store. Update both the apps. Then restart the computer and start installation.
I found the answer to this error and i resolved it by doing the installation using the Administrator account that windows 10 creates by default when yo install the OS.
Here is a link to a webpage, the one that helped me http://www.ghacks.net/2014/11/12/how-to-enable-the-hidden-windows-10-administrator-account /
For the error code 505.

Genexus developers, I'm experiencing issues after launching the app, start the splash screen, then freeze and minimize immediately. Anyone who experienced this issue?
I've started to deploy to cloud a windows 8 app using genexus ev3 update 2, working on win8.1 SO.
For quick test of win8 generator I've followed the gx wiki tutorial My First Windows 8 App.
Tried the common solutions (registry and folder permissions, screen resolution, ...) and Wiki GX win8 common issues related with this with no success, everything looks as it should be.
Solved
Updated Genexus to Ev3 Upgrade 3 Preview 1
You should check the log to get more info.
Please see "Windows 8 Application closes unexpectedly" section at Common issues page
When the application is run (F5) a debug file is generated. Check it
for further info about the problem behind the app closure. File
location is shown at GeneXus output window (e.g. "Dashboard log file
will be generated at:
'C:\Users\myuser\AppData\Local\Packages\Dashboard_6f78njyw3rst2\LocalState'")
If you have Visual Studio installed you can run the project there for debugging.
I am running Selenium Webdriver locally on my windows home server (windows 7 professional actually) which logs to a site and sends some emails. It's a java program with a single thread running.
I can see Firefox opening up just fine when running through Eclipse and follow the clicks etc as it logs on without problems.
I have set up a Task Scheduler task to start it up every morning though and run the jar. The program runs fine but when Firefox opens it is almost invisible, I can see the grey frames of it but everything else is transparent and invisible and if you drag something in front of it the graphics get stuck.
When clicking on Properties on Task manager I can see that it started with firefox.exe - foreground whereas when I open Firefox normally it says -browser.
The program still does what it should do, it's just Firefox is not visible at all when running through java -jar X.jar etc.
Any ideas why?

I suspect it has something to do with the anonymous Firefox Profiles created each time firefox runs. I usually delete them from Temp once a week.
P.S No idea if it matters but server is headless and I am accessing it through TeamViewer.
Issue solved by deleting firefox profiles and loading from scratch. Weird, not sure yet what caused this and if it happens again.
Perhaps I will create a specific firefox profile and use instead of a anonymous one created each time.
I recently installed Apache Tomcat 7 for Windows7 while trying to learn Servlets/JSP.
If I try to start Tomcat by double-clicking on the icon on my desktop (which maps to C:\Apache Software Foundation\tomcat7\bin\tomcat7.exe), it opens up a command prompt with many messages rolling and disappears
If this is start then how to restart ?
The first time I installed it, there was an icon in the system tray, clicking it one could start/stop the server. But that icon disappeared after the first time use. I uninstalled/re-installed apache. Again the icon appeared & disappeared the next time it was accessed.
Is there a way to bring back the icon for good, or a better way to do this?
tomcat7.exe is Tomcat itself, running in a Windows service wrapper.
tomcat7w.exe is the Monitor/Configure app.
You can use tomcat7w.exe for start/stop tomcat service.
Go to C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 7.0\bin
Start Tomcat7w.exe (GUI application).
Here you can start or stop the service from the General tab

Do yoiu get a blank screen, or does it just freeze?
If you only get a blank screen, then this could be due to error reporting turned off on the webserver.
