Is there a way to present each detail row (at Master-Detail page) as separate tab or carousel slide? APEX 5.0
I've searched, read and tried for a whole evening, but nothing was found. Tradinional way is present region, not row as tab/carosel slide.
Apex 5.0 doesn't offer such a functionality. There might be some plug-in (search for it, if you want) but that's kind of a questionable solution because plug-in doesn't have to work in new Apex releases unless its designer upgrades it as well (or, alternatively, if you are capable of doing that).
If possible, upgrade to the most recent Apex version (currently, it is 19.x). There are numerous fancy stuff it offers, one of them being the Carousel Region. See how it looks like on the Universal Theme (Carousel Region) page. Or, create your own workspace on apex.oracle.com to see how it works.

I have an intranet system that uses the DHTMLX UI Framework as user interface, but I'm looking for more modern interfaces that suits the current interface. The current version of DHTMLX I'm using only supports jQuery 1.x, that is a serious security problem. I already asked to update the version using the same UI, but there is a lack of documentation on its updated product. I.e., if I Googled for specific method or some way to run specific task or behavior, I'm always being redirected to elder documentation, or it simply doesn't exist!
I sketched here the current main UI I have: https://dhtmlx.com/docs/products/visualDesigner/live/?preview=true&id=967kh4
Explaining the behaviors: I have the layout separated by tabs, but the Tab 0 is the main record, and "sub tabs" are records according the selected row on grid of Tab 0. If there is no selected row, all sub tabs are disabled by default. If I add a new record on specific tab, automatically it adds a new row to equivalent tab.
This front is not so usual, but allows user previewing quickly the dependencies.
Question is... Do some of you have something similar to this layout? I'm disposing layouts that has to click on the main record, have to load an entire screen just to preview its dependencies.
The image below shows the current system interface
Any suggestion will be appreciated.
We're upgrading a large application from Forms 11g to 12c, and one of the few issues we've seen is that, on some forms (or some tabs within a form), boilerplate text and frame labels just don't appear when you run the form.
They are there in Form Builder, and have all relevant properties set correctly. In the case of the frame labels, the frames show up, just without any text in them. Also, although the frames have all properties set the same as other frames that do display correctly, the incorrect frames have square corners when they should be rounded.
There's only two things I can think of that might have some impact on this, but there's nothing I can do about either one at the moment:
We're still using the 11g development tools (Form Builder) for the time being. The OAS is 12c, and the forms get upgraded when compiled.
So far, all of the text and frame labels that are not displaying are on canvases that are inherited into the form from a "template" form.
Any thoughts? The missing text is all section headings, and the users would really like to have them back.
Thanks,
Dan
One of my coworkers is better at searching Oracle than I am, and found Doc ID 2509488.1, which describes this bug in Forms 12c version 12.2.1.3.0 and later, and the patch to fix it, Patch 26932083.
I need to make style changes to Oracle apex IR (apex version 4.2). For that purpose where can i find the template of it. ? is it saved inside table or procedure ?
Interactive reports are held in a region and the region can have a template, but has no effect on its content, such as an IR.
While you can define report templates for classic reports, this is not possible for interactive reports.
You cannot control the structure (html) it puts out.
You can however change the style of it by applying CSS to the appropriate elements. You don't have need to alter the source it puts out. Defining selectors and using your browser tools to inspect everything you can definitely influence the look and feel.
Word of warning though: heavily applying CSS will bring some trouble when upgrading to apex 5, as IRs have been changed a lot. This means you'll have to change selectors quite a bit while also doing more setup on the IR.
If you'd supply more info on the kind of change you'd want to make to the IR, answers could be more specific and concrete.
You can find Oracle Interactive reports template from
PAGE RENDERING SECTION
Right Click your INTERACTIVE REPORT
Click Edit Report Attributes
Then template is under Layout and Pagination Section
But i doubt you can edit the template in there.
If you are looking for adding a template to be used in your report then follow these steps
Go to the Main Page of your application
Then go to Shared Components
Then Search for User Interface Section
Under this section, Click Templates, this is where you can add template for any type of item(report, region, page, etc..)

I am just finishing my latest app but I am straggling with the About page implementation.
How should I create About Dialog or About Page in Windows Phone?
I do not want to use just a plain page with text, because it doesn't look professional. Is there a standard way of doing this? An About page/dialog provided within the framework, for example?
There are many ways you can do this. The best would be if you could download a few of the popular free apps to see how exactly have they implemented it, to get a few ideas.
I prefer to go in one of the following 2 directions:
Custom styled page, that includes icons, developer details, some legal details (which controls did you use, under which licenses etc.) You can even use a pivot page, and then split the details about you, and legal details (and any other details) to multiple pivot items.
Use a popup from Coding4Fun toolkit. Scroll down for a sample of how it looks.
I want to a html page inside a dynamically created silverlight child window without telerik control.
The telerik control isn't doing anything you can't do yourself with enough effort - it's all just transparent user code.
So, you could create <div> and position it carefully just like the telerik control does - but of course this can be a lot of work (that's why folks would want to pay for their control).
This also only works when the plugin is windowless, which has lots of trade-offs (see MSDN - for example, accessibility support is greatly reduced or gone entirely, I can't recall which).
In out-of-browser mode, you can use the WebBrowser control, in case that helps should you wish to make your app available OOB later.
