Running Hybris development env in Mobile for debugging - debugging

just curious if there is a way to run the Hybris website(development mode,i.e., https://localhost:9002) in the Mobile to check the UI/UX features.
I have tried several ways but didn't get success.
It would be helpful if anyone knows, meanwhile I am continuing my research on this.
Thanks in Advance.

There are several ways in which you can check the UI/UX features in different screen sizes (Desktop / mobile / tablet):
Hybris SmartEdit preview feature - This is the most widely used method.
Access the site using your laptop's IP address (provided your mobile and laptop are in the same network) e.g. this is how it looks like when I access the site using https://192.168.0.23:9002/yacceleratorstorefront/?site=electronics&clear=true in my mobile phone:
The command to find the IP address is ipconfig in Windows and ifconfig in MacOS. You can also find the IP address using the Control Panel in Windows and System Preferences in MacOS.
Using the browser's device mode e.g.
Firefox:

What can I use to view a mobile device remotely instead of VNC options which are too slow?

We have a dozen or so mobile devices for testing. Emulators in SDK's like Android's or Xcode have quirks. So, we use actually devices.
I've tried browser synchronization like browser-sync but that routes everything through a proxy.
I'm looking for a way to remotely view and control these devices from a desktop. I've tried running a VNC server on the mobile devices, but VNC is just too slow. Not to mention, the devices themselves lack any real processing power.
Any ideas?
You can try seeTest Manual tool http://experitest.com/support-2/seetest-pricing-manual/. It is a free tool. Very easy to install and setup.
You can remotely connect and control your android and iphone devices from PC. It is just like interacting with the mobile phone from desktop.

Network Sharing Win 8 mobile

I found Network Sharing on Win8 mobile. (nokia Lumia)...I am trying to write similar application for Win8. But could not find any support on windows website. On Nokia website also, all I could find is how to turn on, but nothing else.
So, I have a lot of questions in my mind:
Is Network sharing is even supported by Windows or is it Nokia that has their own app to do this?
How this network sharing works? Are we tethering WLAN or something else?
Is it possible to write a similar app with the existing Win8 mobile APIs provided?
Does it use DNSMasq? ( I am assuming it is)
Is there any possible way to find the installed apps and the app structures in Win8 phone, like we have in android phones.
Network sharing is fully implemented by WP8 OS but it is under tight control from your cellular operator. You need to pay extra to enable "tethering" (here in USA). The cellular connection (4G, LTE) is then shared and your phone turns into Wi-Fi access point for other devices. When I try to enable network sharing on my HTC 8X (I am not paying for tethering), the screen flics with Wi-Fi details - tells me Wi-Fi broadcast name, password and number of guests connected - and then one second later I get a dialog from T-Mobile to go online and add tethering to my phone plan.
See above.
No, I don't think it is possible. As an app you don't have any control over network configuration.
I'd assume it provides NAT, DHCP and DNS forwarding. I don't think it uses DNSMasq code directly though. :-)
For privacy reasons you can't get a list of installed apps. Only when you are writing apps for enterprises (that don't go through Microsoft Store), you can list other apps signed with the same enterprise key. See http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windowsphone/develop/jj207245.aspx.

How to view location services settings in windows phone 7 emulator

I am new in Windows Phone 7,How to view location services settings in windows phone 7 emulator
The default emulator image that is shipped with the development tools is not as full featured as the real OS. You can't for example, setup email accounts, turn on airplane mode or edit location settings. This does cause a problem when you wish to test your app without location services available or data connection, for example. In the case of a data connection you can achieve this by turning off the network connection on your host operating system (Windows) but this is inconvenient.
An alternative is to install an unlocked ROM for the emulator. You can, in fact, have multiple emulators installed which can be super convenient. Check out Justin Angels blog post for more details.

Debugging Windows Phone 7 device traffic with Fiddler

I followed all the steps from the article but when I try to hit the server from my windows phone it says there is a dns error.
Article for reference.
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/fiddler/archive/2011/01/09/debugging-windows-phone-7-device-traffic-with-fiddler.aspx
How do I know my windows phone is using my local LAN WIFI as opposed to ATT cellular?
Personally, I use Netmon 2.3 for network traffic information from WP7. Fiddler didn't support WP7 up until recently and Netmon/Wireshark did, so I just stick with those.
Using Netmon 2.3, while your device is connected to Zune/WPConnect, you'd be able to see all WP7 device transport on the ZuneComm process. Netmon isn't as user-friendly as Fiddler, but it's fairly darn specific and easy.
You could turn on flight mode and then turn wifi back on.
Or you could take the sim out.
Either of those ways will ensure you're not using the cellular network.
I used the IP address instead of dns and it worked.

Palm Pre Emulator Internet connection problem

I am running the Google Map application which is part of Palm Emulator. On launching the application , it displays "Google Maps requires internet connection". When i run emulator, do I need to configure the network settings .
Similar thing happens when i enter some url in the browser its says " Error Loading Page 2028".
I assumed that emulator will the take the pc Lan setting on which the emulator is running to access to internet.
Can someone help and highlight some info on the same ??
Thanks,
I ran into this problem and solved it by rooting into the emulator via novacom, and updating /etc/resolv.conf to a proper nameserver. For some reason it hadn't set that correctly.
To check if this is your problem, try (from your rooted emulator) pinging "google.com", and then try pinging just its IP. If the latter works but not the former, this is your issue.
You can check the output of "ip route show" and use the default gateway shown as the nameserver to set it to.
Also, the emulator setup should default to NAT, so no, extra configuration should not be required as indicated by other poster.
The Palm Pre Emulator works atop Sun's VirtualBox. If the emulator is not able to connect to the Internet or any existing network from the get-go, you should skim through the documentation provided on the VirtualBox site as well as the helpful HOWTOs and tutorials that explain how to set up different kinds of networking on VirtualBox.
