I sucessfully created a premirror for our yocto builds on an Azure Storage Blob,
that works if I set the access level to "Blob (Anonymous read).."
Now I wanted to keep the blob completely private, and access only via SAS Tokens.

In general this works, but yocto (or to be exact the bitbake fetch module) will try then try to fetch from https://somewhere.blob.core.windows.net/our-mirror/downloads/bash-5.0.tar.gz%3Fsv%3D2019-12-12%26ss%3Dbf%26srt%3Dco%26sp%3Drdl%26se%3D2020-08-19T17%3A38%3A27Z%26st%3D2020-08-19T09%3A38%3A27Z%26spr%3Dhttps%26sig%3Dabcdef_TEST/bash-5.0.tar.gz
Which also encodes the special characters for the parameters and of course the fetch fill fail.
Did anybody has solved this or similar issues already?
Or is it possible to patch files inside the poky layer (namely in ./layers/poky/bitbake/lib/bb/fetch2) without changing them, so I can roll my on encodeurl function there?

Whenever we record any Test case in Test-Complete, it stores all the object in the Naming Repository and then access the same.
This helps test-complete in easily recognisation of object and can improve the speed of test-case, in case there are multiple objects visible on screen

I have a models.ImageField which I sometimes populate with the corresponding forms.ImageField. Sometimes, instead of using a form, I want to update the image field with an ajax POST. I am passing both the image filename, and the image content (base64 encoded), so that in my api view I have everything I need. But I do not really know how to do this manually, since I have always relied in form processing, which automatically populates the models.ImageField.
How can I manually populate the models.ImageField having the filename and the file contents?

I have reached the following status:
instance.image.save(file_name, File(StringIO(data)))
instance.save()
And this is updating the file reference, using the right value configured in upload_to in the ImageField.
But it is not saving the image. I would have imagined that the first .save call would:
Generate a file name in the configured storage
Save the file contents to the selected file, including handling of any kind of storage configured for this ImageField (local FS, Amazon S3, or whatever)
Update the reference to the file in the ImageField
And the second .save would actually save the updated instance to the database.
What am I doing wrong? How can I make sure that the new image content is actually written to disk, in the automatically generated file name?

I have a very unsatisfactory workaround, which is working but is very limited. This illustrates the problems that using the ImageField directly would solve:

So, after some more playing around I have discovered that my first implementation is doing the right thing, but silently failing if the passed data has the wrong format (I was mistakingly passing the base64 instead of the decoded data). I'll post this as a solution

I'm currently using MvvmCross DownloadCache -- and it's working alright -- especially nice when I just need to drop in an Image URL and it automagically downloads / caches the image and serves up a UIImage.
I was hoping to leverage the code for one other use case -- which is I'd like to grab source images from URL's and cache the files on the local file system, but what I really want for this other use case is the image path on the local file system instead of the UIImage itself.
What would help me most if I could get an example of how I might accomplish that. Is it possible to make that happen in a PCL, or does it need to go into the platform specific code?
Thanks -- that works, but just in case anyone else is following along, I wanted to document how I got the Mvx.Resolve<IMvxFileDownloadCache>() to work. In my setup.cs (in the touch project), I had:

But that failed because MvxFileDownloadCache constructor takes a few arguments. So I ended up with this:

I do wonder what happens if two MvxFileDownloadCache objects that are configured in exactly the same way will cause issues by stepping on each other. I could avoid that question by changing the cache name on the one I'm constructing by hand, but I do want it to be a single cache (the assets will be the same).

I have a Puppet custom function that returns information about a user defined in OpenStack's Keystone identity service. Usage is something along the lines of:
$tenant_id = lookup_tenant_by_name($username, $password, "mytenant")
The problem is that the credentials used in this query ($username) are supposed to be created by another resource during the Puppet run (a Keystone_user resource from puppet-keystone). As far as I can tell, the call to the lookup_tenant_by_name function is being evaluated before any resource ordering happens, because no amount of dependencies in the calling code is able to force the credentials to be created prior to this function being executed.
In general, it is possible to write custom functions -- or place them appropriately in a manifest -- such that they will not be executed by Puppet until after some specified resource has been instantiated?
Short answer: You cannot make your manifest's behavior depend on resources declared inside of it.
Long answer: Parser functions are called during the compilation phase (on the master if you use one, or the agent if you use puppet apply). In neither case can it ever run before any resource is synced, because that will happen after the compiler has done all its work (including invocation of your functions).
To query information from the agent machine, you generally want to use custom facts. Still, those will be populated before even the compiler run.
Likely the best approach in this situation is to make the manifest tolerate the absence of the information, so that anything that depends on the value that your lookup_tenant_by_name function returns will only be evaluated if that value is available. This will usually be during the second Puppet run.

Is it possible to specify the application name which is used by CWinApp::WriteProfileString()?
If I use CWinApp::SetRegistryKey to set the name of my company to "MyCompany", and I call AfxGetApp()->WriteProfileString in my application called "SomeApp", my string will be stored under the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MyCompany\SomeApp\...
The problem is that my users want to run multiple versions of SomeApp. So in order that the registry settings don't conflict I want to store them in keys like this:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MyCompany\SomeApp 1.1\...
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MyCompany\SomeApp 2.0\...
etc.
I could replace all instances of WriteProfileString with my own function, but this would be quite difficult as it is used extensively in both our source code and some of the third-party libraries that we use.
Is there some way to force WriteProfileString to use a different string for the application name?
This code in the app constructor worked well:
