localhost web server on win10 with no admin - windows

so, I want to create a web server and store it into my computer (it's a win10 btw) and i am not the admin.
and when I search localhost it shows an image that if I click it will send me to the IIS site.
pls help me.

Disable it IIS :)
there is no reason to install it or have it installed if you dont use it
Hit the Windows-key type: "Add or Remove Programs". If you get the new Settings app of win10
You have look to right top corner
from there click Add/Remove Windows Components.
Select the Internet Information Services (IIS) uncheck box, click Next, then click Finish.
than try to host your server again

From your description, It looks like you want to use Internet Explorer as your default browser.
Here I assume that you are using Windows 10 OS.
You can follow steps below to make Internet Explorer as a default browser.
(1) Open Settings in Windows 10.
(2) Go to Apps and click on it.
(3) Select Default apps option.
(4) Find a category for Web browser.
(5) Click on the web browser, It will show you the option for Internet Explorer.
(6) Select IE and set it as default app for web browsing.
Reference:
Change your default browser in Windows 10
In the same dialog, For choosing the app. you can choose the app and check the check box to remember your choice may also help you to remove this dialog.

Cannot see default web site in iis in windows 10

I got new pc in office and I had installed IIS from windows feature (on/off) and everything appears good.
When I started iis manager I can just see my pc name i.e.
MyPCName (MyDomainName\MyUserName)
thats it. I can't see anything else. Expanding server doesn't show anything. Right clicking on it just giving three options -
Refresh
Rename
Switch to Content View
I can't see any other option. So far I had re-installed it multiple times. and restarted my pc multiple times, but nothing changed.
Can anyone help?

Thks in advance
Finally i solved the problem and it was very very strange.
I found the following " com.erythropoieic.net - preferences.plist " file under the "Library / LaunchDaemons / " folder. This file called this script " change_net_settings.sh " changing the network Properties. I removed that files and thew problem was solved.
I faced the same with all browsers on my macbook pro. This is a malware issue. Please run anti- malware clean up using the malwarebytes.
This is a frequent problem when updating Microsoft OS or Internet Explorer. Seems the update flips the LAN Connection setting, so:
Start Internet Explorer
Click on Setting (upper right)
Click the Tools button
Click on Internet Options
Click on Connections tab
Click on LAN settings
UNCHECK Proxy Server for your LAN
Select OKAY
Validate you can now get to websites without having to manually enter https://
I had the same issue in FireFox (45.X ESR) from Linux. I could only browse to sites if I used https://. If I used http:// or www:// I got redirected to dnssearch.com (my ISP is Time Warner). It turn's my issue was with how Firefox was configured to connect to the Internet. To resolve this issue in Firefox, click the open menu icon and select Options (or Preferences in older versions) and then select Advanced. On the Advanced page, click the Network tab. On the Network page, click Settings (For how Firefox connects to the internet). Under Configure Proxies to Access the internet, there a several radio buttons. In my case, the Manual proxy configuration was checked. I changed this and check: No proxy. This resolved my issue. I could then access any site as normal.

Localhost on Windows 7

I want to enable a localhost on Windows 7 to be able to build websites with Chrome without a distant server. I would like to not install anything, and be able to, for example, navigate to http://localhost/something/somethingElse/index.html.
Anyone knows how?
In order to activate localhost server on Windows 7 navigate to:
-> Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Turn Windows features on or off
Then search for Internet Information Services and check its checkbox.
Wait for Windows to make the changes, no need for immediate restart, the server will be enabled.
You can now navigate to
127.0.0.1
or
http://localhost
There is a simple chrome extension "200 OK". Which runs a web server on localhost.
Custom port settings
Choose your project folder and start the server
