We are using Spring boot 2.6 and Swagger UI for the rest APIs, initially, it works perfectly but when the controller and model object increase it's started hanging the swagger UI.

I have one spring boot application having three spring cloud function which I am able to execute via postman or curl successfully .Now my next step is to add swagger documentation for the same. I have followed all configuration that we do to add swagger with normal spring boot project. And it is up and running but problem is that my functions URL are not listed in swagger since Request Mapping or API operations annotations are not getting picked up maybe those are just functions not a controller that's y. So if someone could help how to integrate so i can document all cloud functions that I am creating.

Start with creating a simple Rest Controller with Spring Boot.
Then you have to choose your JavaScript framework (jQuery, Angular, React),
and make a HTTP request to URL typed in your #RestController.
You can achieve this by using AJAX method from your JS framework.

I'm trying to adapt Vaadin Spring Boot QuickTickets Dashboard example with my project needs. Everything is working fine except I'm unable to access another (not Vaadin UI) URLs. For example, I have Spring Boot Actuator endpoint - http://localhost:8080/actuator/health but when I try to access it, the application wrongly redirects me to http://localhost:8080/actuator/health#!dashboard. Pretty much the same behavior with my custom login page(not Vaadin UI) - http://localhost:8080/login. I also unable to access it.
How to correctly setup Vaadin to be able to access Spring Boot Actuator endpoints and my custom login page also?
You need to map the servlet to a different path. I think the problem is that the Vaadin-Servlet is mapped to / an is processing all requests.
Adding the following to you application.properties should do the trick.
vaadin.servlet.urlMapping = /myapp/*
Of course the URL of the app changes accordingly.
I have a Spring web application - which doesn't use Spring-based GUI, but Wicket - and I would like to build contract-first REST services.
I already have a contract defined in Swagger and I generate model and API artifacts. Swagger codegen generates either Spring Boot artifacts, or Spring MVC ones.
My intention is to use ideally just a model, and maybe API (controllers) from this generated code. But up to my knowledge/research, there is no simple way to have just simple REST service without MVC/Boot boilerplate.
Therefore my questions are:
Is it possible to build lightweight Spring-based REST service, without having "heavy" dependency of full Spring MVC/Spring Boot?
If not, which approach is more lightweight? Spring Boot, or Spring MVC?
You are misinterpreting the Spring ecosystem.
Spring MVC is THE rest web and web service library within Spring portfolio.
The same way as Spring-WS is THE soap web service library.
They are very similar in architecture and style of use.
The fact that Spring MVC is bundled with Spring Framework does not change the situation.
Spring Boot does not bring any new REST offering. It is just a bootstrap mechanism to start Java web server with web app already deployed from a plain main() method. Therefore if you see "Building REST web services with Spring Boot", it just means that it is Spring MVC bootstrapped by Spring Boot.
Therefore, the question to what is more lightweight is straightforward: Spring MVC.

Spring REST Docs is the tool to help you to produce documentation for your RESTful services that is accurate and readable.
An alternative is swagger, with the swagger annotion, it is eaiser to integrate with existing RESTful services and generated the swagger UI page.
Then customize the spring boot error page
