How to instal libgluezilla for MAC OS X - macos

I am trying to run a Mono application on the Mac that has an embedded web browser control. The program runs, but now broswser is show and a message is output:
libgluezilla not found. To have webbrowser support, you need libgluezilla installed
I have searched, but have no idea how to install this. Your guidance would be appreciated.

You cannot use the embedded web browser control on Mac. Hence, there is no libgluezilla for Mac.

It worked in 2.4.2 of mono, but not with the latest patch. ( 2.4.2.1 )
I am loosing patience with mono on mac platforms. Things used to work and then stop working, creating a bugzilla entry gets no responses at times.

Unable to uninstall app consuming lot of memory

I am using MacBook Air with Catalina OS. When I hit top command it shows an app Electron consuming about 50% RAM.
I tried uninstalling it but can't find in application list. I have not installed this Electron app explicitly and don't know how it came on my machine.
How to uninstall this as I am not using it?
Top command output:
A quick search shows that Electron is a framework on which google chrome (to name one) runs. So you cant really uninstall it, however you could try, closing a few chrome windows or tabs. A blog gives a solution to this issue by replacing Electron apps as a whole (like using safari instead of chrome), which is not an option for everyone but is worth considering.

Personally my advice would be to upgrade to Mac OS Big Sur(if your mac is supported) as I experience some performance increase and found that it was generally more optimised.

Unable to install Xcode 8.1 on my Windows 10 computer

I've been trying to download Xcode but when I open it nothing happens.
Xcode_8.1.xip
Do I need to us using a Mac to be programming for iOS? I am currently using Windows 10.
Simply, yes, you need to have a Mac, or some other macOS running computer to run Xcode. But...
There is a way to run Xcode on Windows, however it's a bit of work. You can follow a tutorial on the internet like this one to get Xcode working on Windows.
Let it be known that even though Xcode will run on Windows using this, it is definitely not good in quality compared to on a Mac, as there will be lag and unnecessary difficulties that wouldn't be there on Mac.

How to customize rules on Fiddler Alpha on Mono (Mac OS)

Please note: I am working on Mac OS and I am trying to get this to work on the Alpha on Mono version of Fiddler.
More specifically, I want to edit the OnBeforeRequest function in CustomRules.js, so that I can redirect traffic to a development box for testing. Just using the AutoResponder rules is not sufficient.
I've successfully been able to get this to work on Windows. On the Windows build, we can do:
Rules -> Customize Rules (Ctrl+R)
After installing the Alpha Fiddler on my Mac, there's a Fiddler directory with an empty Scripts subdirectory, no SampleRules.js to be found.
I've spent a long time on this and am wondering if it's just a good idea to try finding another way/tool.
Thank you in advance!
Which build of Fiddler for Mono did you install specifically? Version 4.4.5.0 did not include a scripting engine. The later version 4.4.8.4 introduced a new scripting engine (based on C# because JScript.Net is not available on Mono).
I haven't built an OSX installer for the later build yet, but you should be able to just unzip the archive.

Mac App - Distributed Version of Help Not Working Fully. Links broken

Mac App - Distributed Version of Help Not Working Fully.
Development machine : OS X 10.8.2, on late 2008 MBP , Xcode 4.5.2
The app has a nine html page help system. Each page shares a sidebar menu with
nine choices. Each menu choice involves a link of the following type:
<a href="help:anchor=anchor_name bookID=com.mycompany.myapp.help">
This menu system link work as intended on my development machine.
When I distribute the app to another machine (OS X 10.6.8) using either of the following methods the help system loads the title page but the anchor links fail to work:
1. Transfer a debug version of app to another machine.
2. Use Archive to produce an install PKG file. In this
method I deliver the PKG to a tester, using a Development Provisioning Profile
that includes the UUID of the target machine.
Can anyone please suggest a fix for this problem?
This problem went away with OS X 10.8.3

Mutliplatform application: (Automated) Testing for Mac OSX howto?

I have a firefox based application(ff extension) that is supposedly/allegedly working on Mac OSX too. I wish to make the application formally supported in Mac OSX. For that, I need to incorporate automated tests in the build process specific to Mac OSX.
With ubiquitous availability of Windows and Linux as cloud offering, executing automated tests for these platforms is easy. Not so with Mac OSX.
Any suggestions on how to go about the (light) automated testing for Mac OSX?
[PS:I have come across MediaTemple's OSX cloud in private beta. No luck for me in getting an invite.]
I don't know what kind of testing you'd like to perform, but why don't you install OS X on VMWare and test within the virtual machine? See this SO question if that is an option for you:
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/39159/is-it-possible-to-run-osx-in-a-virtual-machine
Maybe a combination of Selenium(www.seleniumhq.org) and Sikuli (http://sikuli.org/) would work for you?
Selenium to drive anything web based in FireFox and Sikuli to do all the rest. The tools work all fine together with Java API support. Both tools platform independent.
Cheers,
Stefan
I don't know what test you are trying to automate, but if it is command line based (as the comments seem to suggest it is php code under test), then you can install a VM with darwin on it and perform your tests there. Mac OS X being based on darwin should give you similar results. However as I don't know what the test entails there is no guarantee.
You can find the darwin release for Snow Leopard here, 10.5 is here, and 10.4 is here
If it were me, I'd look at Selenium Grid. It should be possible to create a set of Selenium RC tests initially then use Grid to run the tests on your various platforms, including OS X as well as Windows and Linux. I haven't tried it with running tests in the cloud, but that might even be a possibility.
