I'm using Kaazing Websocket Gateway and I can run the demos - everything is working.
But I want to change the server code (the code that handles the websockets sent to the server and responds). How can I do that?

Zippo,
Would you mind telling me how you have contacted Kaazing Support. I can find no voicemail, forum entry or record of a call. I'd like to make sure we didn't miss anything.
It sounds like you would like to change the Gateway code? If that is so, the answer is that we offer a developer's version of the Gateway with unlimited connections. We don't currently offer a an open source version.
If I have misunderstood your question please contact Kaazing Global Support with your question so we can help you out. Call our switch board at 1-877-KAAZING (1-877-522-9464) and ask for "Technical Support".

Many vendors such as Microsoft with Sharepoint and Dynamics have made it impossible to access database tables directly in newer versions as they convert to Software as Service (SAS) offerings.
I am working with PTC Windchill and have developed extensive Oracle SQL Layer ETL processing. Is this a future proof practice within the context of this product line? Or in the future will I be required to work through some sort of DAL. If so, is there a recommended practice?
The information available from Windchill for Cloud appear vague and mostly suggesting to me virtualizion at the infrastructure layer, suggesting I would be able to query at the database layer for many years to come. Any confirmation, pointers or feedback would be appreciated.
Windchill offers extensive APIs for data access (and customization) in java. Starting from version 11.0, There are also some soap and rest web service for data access , but not for everything. It is always better to use API, they offer Data Abstraction Layer in a supported way. PTC would recommend that you refer to a consultant for this job.
But if you want to try:
There is a huge documentation about Windchill Customization, you can also create your own web services in java to access the data you want, if standard web services does not suffice. a starting point can be the Windchill help, and the javadoc located in the windchill server in this folder:
WINDCHILL_HOME/codebase/wt/clients/library/api/index.html
there are also some examples:
WINDCHILL_HOME/prog_examples

I'm working as a Desktop Support Specialists at Day & Zimmerman. Along desktop support I code in a free time.
I would like to become a certified Service-Now Admin.
What are good materials to start learning about Service-Now?
I understand why companies are using Service-Now, how it is used, but I would like to learn how to configure it, configure workflows for Service Catalog requests, create groups to filter tickets between different IT teams, and create UI policies and scripts.
I have a strong JavaScript knowledge.
Thanks
Start reading from Service Now Wiki.Start from get "Get Started".What ever you learn you can practice on demo instances provided by Service Now "https://demo.service-now.com" . In the this link add "001" to "023" after "demo"
It's simple o understand and start from the above.
2.Once you are familiar with the basics then you can go ahead with servicenowguru.com.It has a lot of useful code snippets.
You might already be in the best place to get started - ask some questions here on StackOverflow as there is a growing community of customers, partners and employees happy to help.
The ServiceNow Wiki is the traditional place to start. On the ServiceNow Community there are Learning Center resources.
On Google+ there is another growing community of friendly people to help you get up to speed.[0]. The #ServiceNow Twitter hashtag is very active too.
Lastly - find out how to connect with your local ServiceNow User Group (SNUG)[1]. You can meet other users in your area.
Good luck!

I took two classes that are offered by Service-Now, one is the admin class which is the recommended place to start and then a scripting class. Both were great classes...

I need a good sms gateway which I would like to host on a server. Ive seen plenty of paid services but after building everything else for my set up Im pretty sure I can take on setting up the gateway myself with some help of course ;)
However Im concerned about the reliability of most open source sms gateways and so Im not to sure which one to start messing with. What Id like to know is if anyone here has any experience using any of the opensource gateways and if so how painful/easy was the set up and also did you end up using a gsm set up or something else?
If my question seems lacking details I appologize but I just started researching them myself. If anyone could just post a link or thought on the matter that would be great :) thanks
I recommend to use Kannel WAP and SMS Gateway as quite mature product. It supports most popular SMSC protocols (SMPP, UCP, HTTP, CIMD) and provides simple HTTP API to services implementing business logic.
Maybe this SO question and its answers is helpful.
An SMS gateway requires a (paid) connection to a mobile network. You should understand your traffic volume requirements for selecting the right interfacing approach. The interfacing approach constrains your options for the technical platform.

I've got an XSD file within a web applcation thats running on my server - I've hotfixed this, however my changes are not being reflected when I use my web application.
I believe its being cached somewhere, however, I've cleared the caches I can find, restarted IIS on the server, restarted my server through the command prompt (stopServer.bat & startServer.bat)
These caches I've found & cleared:
ibm\websphere\appserver\profiles\app server profile\temp\node\app
server
ibm\websphere\appserver\profiles\app server profile\wstemp
ibm\websphere\appserver\profiles\app server
profile\tranlog\cell\node\app server
ibm\websphere\appserver\profiles\app server profile\logs\app server
ibm\websphere\appserver\profiles\app server profile\logs\ffdc
My changes are not being reflected - its not picking it up, as I've updated the version number within my XSD to 4, yet it always shows 3. I've found every instance of the xsd within the harddrive and they're all up-to-date. (Bad I know to update old kept instances but its frying my skull)
Am I missing anything else? Pulling my hair out here!
other files had been edited on the server

I have this code:
#msg = "Subject: Hi There!\nThis works."
smtp = Net::SMTP.new 'smtp.gmail.com', 587
smtp.enable_starttls
smtp.start(YourDomain, YourAccountName, YourPassword, :login)
smtp.send_message(#msg, FromAddress, ToAddress)
end
But i wonder what the mean with YourDomain?! I want to send from gmail is that then "gmail.com" for my yourdomain?
I am confused, i have send emails with C#, php and actionscript but i never had to enter a domain or i cannot remember it!
OK it was a stupid question of me, it has to be "gmail.com"! It works, just a typo (shame on my!)
It means the domain that identifies you and is sent with the HELO command to the smtp server (gmail in your case).
If you don't have a domain, you can use an address literal (see specification). In your case I guess you could use [your_ip]
Anyway, it is often ignored by the smtp server.
Maybe it means "What's domain your want to?"
