in my current project i use three swc-Files (mate.swc, SQLExtensions and Thunderbolt).
Unfortunately, in the problems view, i receive for each file the following warning: Design mode could not load Mate_08_9.swc. It may be incompatible with this SDK, or invalid.
I don't want supress all warnings in general. But it will very helpful to supress these warnings, specialy i receive it for all files in my project three times.
Do you have a idea, if its possible?
Thank you
Frank
I remember seeing this somewhere, it's either a Flash Builder or a SDK issue. I think you need to update to the 4.1 version of both products

I'm trying to start a dotnet MAUI app following the tutorial of MS in their official docs
I'm just opening the startup MAUI project(the built-in default one) and VS22 just won't have it. I get 40+ errors most of them about reference missing and duplication of classes/functions
glimps from the errors I get
now I have already seen a post here having somewhat of the same problem but the solutions(restarting and downloading workloads from the CLI using - dotnet workload intall) just didn't work for me.
I haven't done any changes to the code whatsoever so I really don't get what is the problem here.
any help would be appreciated.
Edit 1:
The app do seems to be working when I run the android simulator… which makes it even weirder
This is a bug in the tooling at the moment it seems. If you look at the errors, especially the ones in your screenshot you can see that these talk about Android. If you expand the Project column for a little you will see the list of target platforms that it's talking about.
Because everything is in 1 project now, it gives errors about platform-specific stuff because it is only looking at that one target that it's building. In this case, maybe you were building iOS and it gives errors about not being able to find Android types. This makes sense, however, we shouldn't see these errors in this case.
It's a bit hard to explain like this, I hope it makes any sense.
Long story short, it's a bug, it's being worked on. And you should be able to ignore them and it would still run as you've already discovered yourself. It gives a lot of noise however and if there is an actual error, you will have to find that in this list and fix that.
After a recent update on VS2017. I'm seeing lots of Late binding errors on all projects.
The errors are showing because Option Script of set to on somewhere, but all my projects have the option Option Strict set to Off.
On some projects even if I set Option Strict to Off in the page code behind, I still get the error.
Sometimes if I try to reference Microsoft Visual Basic in the project, the errors go away, sometimes not.
Anyone else experiencing this problem? Any ideas how to fix?
seems to be fixed in Rel. 15.5.2!
pLease have a look at
https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/problem/160609/vb-option-strict-on-warnings-are-shown-on-existing.html
So MS is already aware of the bug and proposes another workaround.
I'm facing the same problem. The workaround I found is:
1. Turn option strict ON
2. Compile your project (will not succeed due to option strict on)
3. Turn option strict OFF
4. Compile your project (compilation success and no more errors)
This problem has now been Fixed in release 15.5.2.
You might have to save a project with Option Strict On then save with Option Strict Off. I didn't have to do that.

Good day! I became interested in the tool from Microsoft vsimporter. There was such a problem: when I try to convert .xcodeproj project .sln project in the command line the message appears "The "project" workspace does not contain any schemes". All the schemes are in place. This problem occurs randomly, because It succeded to convert two projects, but with the other two the problem above. I can not understand because of what it happens. If anyone faced with an identical problem I will be glad to any hint!
The problem you're encountering is likely due to the presence of CocoaPods – was your Xcode workspace file generated by CocoaPods? The bridge currently does not support CocoaPods because of limitations in its clang compiler front end, but it's a request we get a lot so we're investigating adding support. Try removing CocoaPods and including your third-party libraries manually. If you run into issues, feel free to get in touch by filing an issue on Github – it's the best way to talk directly to our team. Thanks for checking out the bridge!
This isn't really coding specific, but we currently have a project that is live and working fine. I am tasked with making a few changes to it. I imported the ALL files of the project to Visual Studio 2010. I can't get any work done, because of all the errors!
Do you have any suggestions for me? The project doesn't have a source file, so I created a project and made one myself.
I tried another version of Visual Studio, and the errors continue. How in the world is this project even working?
Also, I have no way to speak with the creator.
Thanks for the help!
Josh
Without seeing the specific errors you're running into, I'm guessing that you are hitting one of two scenarios:
The source code references .NET assemblies that you do not have installed on your development machine. The only way to correct this is to get your hands on a copy of those assemblies to install them. The assembly names should be in the error messages, which would give you a good starting point to look from.
It's also possible that differences in the .NET framework versions that it was originally developed in and what you are trying to use now are accounting for a large number of errors. If the errors specifically reference the version number, this is most likely what you're experiencing. If this is the case, there are ways you can upgrade the individual file versions that your program references, but I honestly haven't done that in about 8 years, so I'm drawing a blank at the moment as to how to do it.
I don't understand ?
you have a "project" (what kind of project?) that you want to start working with with VS2010 ?
You add the files to a new VS2010 project and start building it and many errors occur ?
What kind of errors ? Language (C++/C#) errors ? missing include missing ? missing libraries ?
Can you show a some of the errors you get ?
I have an app written in MONOTOUCH. It works- I tested it with TESTFLIGHT. It is being added to a larger app, and that developer needs the full xcode project. Do I need to have it rewritten or is there a way to convert it easily.
There is no way to convert Mono code to Objective-C code.
There is an --xcode option that may or may not work. It has not been maintained and we do not officially support it, so I would not depend on it working.
My suggestion is to keep the two applications separate, and transfer control from one to the other by using urls. You register two url handlers "firstApp:" and "secondApp:" and when you need to go from the first to the second, you issue a Url open to "SecondApp:statevariables" and the same process is repeated to go back.
If you have a MonoTouch license, you can use mtouch --xcode yourapp.exe to generate Objective-C code. It doesn't work in the evaluation version.
