Windows SBS 2003 Remote Desktop Problem - windows

I used to remote access the SBS 2003 server through RDC and it has been working all the time but now I am unable to connect to the server.
Whenever I pressed the "Connect" button on the Remote Desktop Connection dialog, a dialog with messages like "Connecting to: xx.xx.xx.xx" and "Configuring remote session..." appeared and then disappeared quickly, leaving the Remote Desktop Connection dialog there.
How to fix the problem? Is the any way to reinstall the Remote Desktop on the server.
Thank you.

No, there is no way to reinstall RDP on the server or client site.
It seems that there is a configuration change in the open ports or if you use a certificate based authentication check your certificate if it's valid.

About behavior of "Minimize" in case of Remote App when using Guacamole

We are using Guacamole for developing an application with RDP. We did POC using code from the following GitHub repositories:
https://github.com/wwt/guac
https://github.com/wwt/guac-vue
Configuration details are:
Windows Server 2016. RDP service is running here.
With this setup, we could successfully access the application remotely, however, the "minimize" action is not behaving as we expected. That is, the remote app window vanishes when we press the "minimize" button and a black screen is shown.
We could get back to the app by pressing 'Alt+Tab' combination but what we are expecting here is that the app getting placed at the bottom of the window showing three buttons: "Minimize, Restore and Close", so that we can take the further action. (As shown below.)
Has someone come across such a scenario and was able to address the need? Any help will be highly appreciated.
We came across this thread that talks about a similar problem but it doesn't have a solution.
We also explored official documentation of guacamole but had no luck.
Thanks in advance!
I believe you are starting the application using RemoteApp mechanism. The RemoteApp means that the remote application will be started integrated with the local computer desktop. The local computer desktop, or better window manager, will handle the minimise action.
In case of the Guacamole, the "local computer desktop" is the browser window, which does not have window manager. This means that there is no place for app to go when minimised.
You may try the Guacamole parameter "initial-program" instead of "remote-app". This parameter will launch the application immediately upon the connection is established, but the session will also have full desktop from the remote machine.

Adobe connect stuck on connecting

I installed adobe connect and configured on a server and I have a domain, It's all connected and working, I can create meetings and every thing, but when I try to get in to a meeting I can't and adobe connect application stuck on connecting. try to delete Internet Explorer cache and cookies . Follow these steps :
1. Open run box by pressing Windows key and “R” at the same time.
Type “inetcpl.cpl” in the run box and hit OK.
Click on General tab and under browsing history section click on “Delete”.
Under Delete Browsing History window, make sure Temporary Internet files, Cookies and History is checked.
Click on Delete and relaunch the meeting room.
Additional Information:
You can try launching the same meeting from other web browsers as well if they are available.

Windows server 2012 Log Off a remote desktop session without locking the screen

As in title. Is there any way to achieve this?
I have problem, because when you close remote desktop, gui and whole interface is being locked and any gui based applications or my autoit scripts won't work (they are crashing constantly).
I tried using 'tscon.exe' but this works only on windows server 2008.
I have the same issue, and I resolved it doing the following:
Connect to RD to your server with user "A"
From the remote computer, connect to RD to localhost to user "B" (create it if necessary)
From the new session, run anything you need.
Disconnect the FIRST session, with user "A".
In this way, the session running with user "B" will not be locked, and it will continue running your GUI controls.
Log off means the current session (created by logging in during RDP) is terminated. What you want is to keep the Logon Session live but disconnect the RDP.
Why not use AutoLogon to boot into console and run the scripts? However if the screen locks or someone RDPs and disconnects, the problem you are facing will reoccur.
What I have is to keep GUI and whole windows interface alive when i close remote desktop. Session is alive but gui and whole workstation is getting locked everytime I close rd.

Microsoft RDP for mac has no resume and reconnects with new session each time after minimized

I have been using the Microsoft Remote Desktop 8.0.18 to work on Azure vms. Every time the rdp on the mac changes to minimized there is no way to get your current window back again. I click on the Windows RDP icon down on the task bar and only get prompted with the initialize connection screen. The causes the server to run out of rdp sessions and am forced to reset the vm. I am not a pro mac user so it is probably something simple I am missing.
Have you tried forcing an install of the new mac rdp client?

Shortkeys with win key is not working when use remote desktop

I have a question about windows remote desktop, that's it.
When I use remote desktop, I cannot use any shotkeys with Win key in the remote window, for example : win+D win+E. When I press win key, it should open the start menu, but nothing happened.
My client is windows 8.1, the remote machine is windows server 2008 r2.
Have you met this problem? What should I do? Thanks.
Is your remote desktop in full screen mode?
When you launch mstsc.exe, click on 'Show Options', and go to 'Launch Resources' tab. This should have an option under 'Keyboard' section -> 'Apply Windows key combinations:'. It should be 'Only when using the full screen'. if you want to use Win+ combination of keys only on your remote computer, then you can select the option 'Only the remote computer'.
Hope this helps!
Thanks,
Silvia Doomra
This works for me:
Close all RDP Clients on remote machine
Close all RDP Clients on local machine
Try again
