Hadoop spiled records - hadoop

I couldn't find any documentation on how hadoop handles splilled records. Is there a link that can be found online.
Thanks for your time.

Check out http://hadoop.apache.org/common/docs/r0.20.2/mapred_tutorial.html#Map+Parameters and the section right below it http://hadoop.apache.org/common/docs/r0.20.2/mapred_tutorial.html#Shuffle%2FReduce+Parameters
I'm not sure if this covers what you're looking for, but hopefully it points you in a direction to start looking some more.

What does 'sintr' mean (in Ganglia)?

I have created the following view in Ganglia, showing cpu_user stats:
Can someone tell me what Sintr means? I was not able to find any information on Google or stackexchange websites.
Interestingly, I have two servers with identical hardware that I'm monitoring, but only one of them has the Sintr entry (which caught my eye).
Okay, I found an answer hidden in some Ganglia dev mailing list...
From this post:
I also added two specific metrics to Linux. cpu_intr and cpu_sintr
count the number of cycles spent on hard/soft interrupts.
Still wondering why it's only shown for one server and not for the other, but that's another story.

How do I gather statistics from ESSBASE?

I would like to gather some statistics about the usage of several cubes with Hyperion ESSBASE.
I've found that from the official documentation but doesn't seem what I need.
What I would like to achieve is to know how many times a dimension has been queried, in which cube, which dimensions are often used together and so on.
Is there any tool or maxl instruction for that pourpose?
i dont know such a tool. There is an option called query tracking which is used internal by essbase for aggregation but i dont know a way do display this information.
Sorry but i am afraid there is no solution for your problem.

Eudyptula Challenge List

I was interested in the Eudyptula Challenges but I've just posted the solution to Task 1 and they are taking a huge time to respond. Can someone just post the Task List (Not the Solutions) so that I can do them at my own pace. Thanks in Advance :)
P.S I know that this is not exactly a programming question but didn't know where else to ask this.
See here: https://github.com/agelastic/eudyptula
All tasks are in the README file. Try not to look at the solutions!

Lenskit documentation

I'm trying to get the hang of Lenskit (quite hard at first). Right now I'm playing around with the hello-lenskit examples, it is working as expected. However, I'd like to go beyond that and when I read the documentation it seems it's not up to date, e.g.,
http://lenskit.org/documentation/basics/configuration/
(many links, such as the one for LenskitRecommenderEngineFactory, ItemItemRatingPredictor lead to page not found)
So, how did you experts get to master lenskit? trial and error? mailing list? here?
Cheers!!

InfoWpis System does not let my salary

I'm using infowpis prac v 1-192VB.
I've filled in all entries for each day but the system doesn't let my sallary
Has anyone had the same problem?
Maybe I need to check last year's easter holidays if I supplied system with proper entries
(0h / day)?
Please guys let me know how to solve this.
First, see if the all the entries are correct. History shows that you also could missclicked and deleted some entries from the database.
Finally you can check if the PB() has the right solution.
Think of the system as of living organism. It thinks, it feels, it interacts with the environment, it evolves. You had to hurt it someday and it remembers your fault against it.
That's why system won't let!
Just be a better man! Maybe you will be forgiven then and system start letting again.
