Software Image Not Found (4.3.3 with XCode 4.0.2) - xcode

I've just downloaded and installed the latest version of XCODE 4.0.2. I've also just installed the latest iPhone OS 4.3.3.
Now I plug my iPhone in to run my app in the simulator and I get the following:
"xcode cannot find the software image to install this version."
What's this about?

The message "Xcode cannot find the software image to install this version" is not an error; rather it's a notification that the version of the iPhone OS installed on the plugged in device does not have a corresponding restore image for Xcode to use.
This may happen on a new Mac OS X installation (when no iPhone OS updates have yet been downloaded), or when your device contains a newer version of iPhone OS that's not yet available to Xcode (for example, a newly purchased device with a later version than what's on your Mac).
It may also happen if you install an iPhone OS on your device on one machine and then plug it into a different machine that doesn't contain the matching restore image.
This message does not prevent you from using the device for development purposes. The only effect is the inability to reinstall the OS currently on the device using Xcode.
You can check which software restore images are on your Mac (that is, have been installed either through updates in iTunes or as part of the iPhone OS beta program) by looking in ~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates/.

Flash Player unable to proceed with the installation (versions 11 onwards)

I have difficulties installing the latest version of Adobe Flash Player (14.0.0.125) on my Mac OS X 10.9.3 (Mavericks). Every time I do so, it fails at 90% with the following error message.
Error: Unable to proceed with the installation
When I go to troubleshoot the problem, I find that I have version 13.0.0.214 of Flash Player installed on my system, and that the (alleged) latest version (for Mac OS X 10.6, 10.7 and 10.8) is 13.0.0.201 (see following URL).
http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-rvm.html
Further research has revealed that the latest version of Flash Player (for Mac OS X 10.6, 10.7, 10.8 and 10.9) is 14.0.0.125 (see following URL).
http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-mac.html#main-pars_heading_7
This is not the first time I have experienced problems upgrading Adobe Flash Player. I experienced a similar problem before upgrading to Mac OS X 10.9 except with different version numbers of the same software. That is, the version that was installed was greater than the version that was downloaded. Note that I did not experience this problem with prior versions of the OS (i.e. Mac OS X 10.6 and 10.7).
This time I went one step further and used a different default browser to locate, download and install (what I presumed was the latest version of) Flash Player. No difference....
My question is, why does my default browser point to an older version of the installation software, and how can I resolve this? Also, correct me if I am wrong but, the reason I have a 'later' version of the software (that is, version 13.0.0.214) is due to the OS upgrade? I do not recall ever upgrading Adobe Flash Player....
Not sure whether or not this is relevant, but I also have Adobe Creative Suite 5 installed on my system (which was also successfully upgraded during all OS upgrades).
UPDATE: Did a bit more searching on the Adobe forums and found a link to a previous version of Adobe Flash Player version 13.0.0.223. Although not the latest version, I have successfully installed it. That is, after I uninstalled the older version of Flash Player. The problem I experienced sounds almost identical to this installation problem.
I am still, however, experiencing the same problem when upgrading to version 14 of Flash Player (even through System Preferences). Seems to be a problem with the installer, and not my system configuration since, to resolve this problem, I uninstall Flash Player (like before) and successfully installed Flash Player version 14 OS X, which I found and downloaded from the same web site.

UPDATE
my mac is running Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63) and when i click check for updates i get this alert.
Software Update doesn’t have any new software for your computer at this time.
You need to upgrade your mac to the OS X Mavericks. Click the Apple icon on the top left and select "App Store...". Search for "Mavericks". Click "Free upgrade" (yes it is free :-). After that you will be able to upgrade Xcode to 5.x release.

Mac application with snow leopard canot run in leopard os

I am working in a mac application with snowleopard. This application is created with leopard os,but this not support in lion due to some external application. So we converted this to snow leopard and work fine .Now the client need to convert this application to leopard version ,for that i am using the xcode 4.2 and lion os and convert the bsec SDK to Mac osx 10.5 and Architecture to 32_bit intel ,but we getting an error "The run destination My Mac 64-bit is not valid for Running the scheme 'AppName'."
How can avoid this error ?
I want to test this application with 10.5 os, but we have only the 10.6 & 10.7 osx,
1)where we get the leopard osx ?
2)Has the Apple issue leopard osx now?
3)Is any problem for instal the leopard os to new MAC system(iMac,Macmini,Macbook)?
I had the same problem a while back, but I'm recalling the solution from memory, as my company dropped 10.5 support meanwhile. The details might be a little bit off, but it should get you going in the right direction:
Grab the latest version of Xcode 3 from the Apple Website
Install it on a Mac. (Make sure you removed the Developer directory if this Mac had another version of Xcode already installed).
Under /Developer, locate the 10.5.sdk directory. Move this directory to a save place (outside of /Developer).
Install Xcode 4.2.
Look where Xcode 4.2 installed its sdk's. Put your previously saved 10.5.sdk directory next to it.
Restart Xcode. There should be 10.5 SDK option in the SDK drop down menu now.

XCode 4.2 not getting installed on my mac

I want to install XCode 4.2 on my mac. I have the dmg, but when I start the installation process, I get the file size as zero kb. Attaching the screen shot of the same:
Can anyone tell me what the problem might be???
The Mac version i am using is 10.7.2....
I have tried changing the install location, but it was of no use.
The installation process takes around 15 mins (although the size is zero kbas is in screen shot) and at the end, I am getting the message "Installation Completed"
EDIT:
For mac OSX version 10.7.2 (Mac OSx Lion), Do I need to download XCode 4.3. The dmg that I have got from one of my friend is titled "xcode_4.2_and_ios_5_sdk_beta_6_for_snow_leopard.dmg". Also, I have tried installing XCode 3.2.6 and it also is experiencing a similar problem.
what have you used for downloading?
The most of download managers downloads damaged files when Internet connection error was occured. The second type of managers stops downloading herein.
Don't use itunes if you can. I advice you to download xcode via torrents because they are protected from these downloading errors. Or at least try to download it via firefox because it stops the downloading instead of masking download erros.
I read the following in the Xcode Release Notes (developer account required) in the Apple developer documentation:
Installation
You can install Xcode 4.2 for Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard only if you have purchased an earlier release of Xcode.
Install or update Xcode through the Purchases or Updates panes.
If you purchased Xcode from the Mac App Store, the Install Xcode app is on the volume on which you installed Xcode.
To install Xcode 4.2 on another volume, you must delete all copies of the Install Xcode app from your file system.
Maybe the first point explains your problem!?
I have downloaded the new dmg of XCode 4.2 from apple developer portal (developement tools). Its XCode_4.2_for_Lion. And it has got installed without any problem.

This bundle is invalid. Apple is not currently accepting applications built with this version of the SDK

I get the error "This bundle is invalid. Apple is not currently accepting applications built with this version of the SDK." when trying to submit my app to the Mac app store. I'm using Xcode 4.1, which I downloaded from the Mac App Store after purchasing a MacBook Air with Lion pre-installed. What could possibly be causing this?
I had the same issue a few days ago after the 10.7.3 update. if You are using 10.7 SDK (target can be 10.6 if you want to access Snow Leopard users)
The problem is the update originally was 11D50 which was quietly updated to 11D50b.
I think for some reason the Apple server or Xcode thinks you are running a beta Mac OS X version (10D50b) because the "b" at the end can indicate a beta version.
The workaround was to change the system version in /System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist from 11D50b to 11D50
I needed to use sudo to change the file
sudo /Applications/TextEdit.app/Contents/MacOS/TextEdit /System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist
