Have forgot when it started from, when I debug My on Iphone Simulator,Xcode4 will crash.
just when the Simulator is opening.I have uninstall it for many times, but the same result.why? I have been crasy with all the crashs, more intolerable, my debug error is disappeared.what cause that?anyone has the same problem?
Does it happen only with one specific project or all your projects. If it is one project then that project has an error causing the crash. If it is all projects then it is a xcode problem. Where are you trying to install it from? Try doing this, open up terminal and enter in
sudo <Xcode>/Library/uninstall-devtools --mode=all
This will uninstall xcode all the way. Then try installing the xcode again after downlading it from developer.apple.com if you have a developer account or buying it from the Mac App Store. Hope this helps.

The Watch paired with my iPhone is shown as the run destination, so I think it's connected. However the WatchKit app can't be installed on the watch.
watchOS 5.1.3 (S4)
iOS 12.1.3 (iPhone 7)
Here's the screenshot of the alert:
I've tried many options but none of them work.
1. repair the watch,
2. clean the build,
3. delete the Derirveddata directory
The app is a newly created project which has no custom code.
What could be the possible season that the app can't be install onto the watch as it should?
Thank you in advance.
Turning WiFi off on your iPhone should make it work... at least until Apple fixes the root cause of this issue :/
There seems to be no reliable fix, and this has happened for me since 2017. A commenter here said it's probably been around since the beginning of WatchKit. If anyone experiencing this could file it in Feedback Assistant (please run xcrun xcdevice list when in the bugged state) that would be greatly appreciated, so that it rises on Apple's priority list and attached logs perhaps help them fix it.
When I run tests on my project in XCode, it builds, and then says Testing... which never ends.
When I use the stop button, the process stops with this text in the console:
*** If you believe this error represents a bug, please attach the log file at /Users/MY.NAME/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/APPNAME-gcsubmsjksdbljcswbefkgugjray/Logs/Test/C53D8988-3564-4C2B-A535-075D26D1E4A7/Session-APPNAMETests-2016-07-13_140704-t3DFd5.log
However, I am unable to run the tests again, and have to relaunch xcode to run them.
Is this an issue on XCode that may be known to the Apple developers?
EDIT
So, I figured, the simulator is not launching in time, and that fails the xcode to run the tests. It might be an installation bug with the simulator.
As I anticipated in my edit to the question the first time, XCode installation did not install the simulator correctly.
I trashed the old installed version and reinstalled XCode. And now everything works fine.
Thanks for all the help.
I found that the tests never ran if I was running anything other than iOS10 on the simulator, so use iOS 10. I guess backwards compatibility doesn't really matter.
Just installed XCode 6 Beta to test my app. The iOS 8 Simulator runs and my app successfully installs but the simulator can't access the internet. I try using safari or maps and there is no network connection. If I run the iOS 7 simulator from XCode 6, it connects to the internet perfectly.
I've tried using the steps in this thread but it didn't change anything. (The steps were more if your app doesn't install but I tried anyway.)
I don't have a firewall or little snitch blocking the simulator.
Any other pointers?
I had the same problem. Try to quit the iOS simulator, and then re-build and launch your application. It should work.
I saw a lot of posts about re-starting the simulator, resetting the simulator settings, etc. I ended up re-installing X-Code, updating to X-Code 6.1, etc, etc. Still didn't have a connection to the network!
What ended up being the solution is I turned off my antivirus (TrendMicro). I had checked all the anti-virus settings before and didn't see any "block process connection". When I turned the whole thing off it solved the problem though.
I had same error with xCode 6.1 and iOS 8 simulator. What worked for me is I went to settings>developer> and switch on "Allow HTTP Services" option.
Same problem for avast security on mac, turning of webshield under avast preferences solved it.
Xcode version 7.3.1, ios simulator 8.4
Turning off AVAST resolve all errors.
I've had the exact same issue. It's bizare but plugging my Macbook in via an ethernet cable seemed to resolve this. I know it's not perfect but it works.
I also use XCode 6.1 GM and git the same issue. My scenario was that during development I connected my MacBook to another WLAN. My Macbook was connected to the internet, but the iOS Simulator not. My solution was to just close the iOS simulator and redeploy the app from xcode.
Just simply reset the simulator. Quit and Re-run your app your problem will be gone. It works for me.
I had a similar scenario with Mac OS X 10.9.5, Xcode 6.2, Cordova 4.3, iOS 8.3 - Everything worked fine on all platforms except ajax/network access was limited on the IOS simulator.
As suggested by by others, going into the Settings on the IOS emulator and changing "Allow HTTP Services" in the developer submenu opened up all network access and ajax queries/processes came to life.
So try that first!
The source control I used is Git. So upon resetting all my local changes and getting the latest solved my problem.
So First thing I would do is Stash all your local changes if you need them.
Then reset all your local changes and get the latest
Now run the tests.
This worked for me. Hopefully works for you as well.
I'm using Xcode 4.3.2 and it tried to install an update to the command line tools.
I clicked the update button and Xcode told me that [my apple id] does not have access to Command Line Tools. (Contact Apple Developer Support to resolve account access issues.)
The problem happened with 4.3.1 too, I just did the update to 4.3.2 because I thought that it will resolve the issue.
My account is a paid Mac + iOS Developer account. I am pretty sure I should have access to these tools. But Xcode tells me I don't.
I logged in to the developer portal and checked for new Terms of Service too. Everything looks alright.
How can I install the update? Does anybody have a solution for this?
Yes its all over the Twitter... Just go to Apple Downloads and manually install it. They are investigating the issue as far as I know
Dominik Porada details the solution at Xcode 4.5 and iOS 5.1 Simulator, ie. download the old XCode 4.4.1 from Apple and pull out the simulation. Personally, I just copied the simulator from one of my other Macs that I hadn't upgraded XCode on yet.
Not sure if it's still relevant but xcode-select --install might do it.
I had the same problem last night after the update to Mountain Lion and Xcode 4.4.
This morning I tried to build something in xcode and it told me that developer mode wasn't enabled on the mac. Once I enabled it, I tried to download the command tools again and that happened to work fine now.
I am attempting to launch the iPhone simulator from Xcode, but I keep getting the following error:
Error from Debugger: Failed to launch simulator: Operation failed with underlying error: 4294967253.
I've found a number of posts where Xcode failed to launch the simulator, but none of them match the specific error code I'm receiving.
Glad you got things solved senfo. I've found that doing a full rebuild can work as well as checking your system console log for erroneous error message/warnings. Xcode unfortunately seems to be rather poor at conveying errors when deployments fail to the simulator.
Whenever I've had issues like this, Force Quitting the simulator from the dock (Alt-Right click), followed by Xcode seemed to do the trick. After doing that I could reload my project and it would run fine.
Failing that, I hear it might help to reboot your mac (though I've never needed to go that far).
I'm not sure why I didn't try this earlier, but installing the latest version of Xcode fixed the problem.
