I am using this to get the result from server
controller.allVisitStore = new Ext.data.Store({
model: 'allVisit',
autoLoad : true,
proxy: {
type: 'ajax',
id: 'allvisit_app_localstore',
url: '/RadMobApp/api',
extraParams:{
action:'query',
queryName:'GET_ALL_VISIT',
authToken: localStorage.getItem("auth_token"),
patTicketId: localStorage.getItem("patientId"),
retFormat:'XML',
keyValuePair:'yes'
},
// the return will be XML, so lets set up a reader
reader: new Ext.data.XmlReader({
// records will have an "T4" tag
record: 'data'
})
}
});
but i am not getting any thing.But i formed this url in browser and checked this i got the correct result. now here i want to check is there any problem in the url formation.How to check the url formation with extra parameter which is pass through ajax. I have checked in Inspect element-> network -> api there is no any api request found there.Is anything wrong in my code. Thanks in advance...
Use Firebug for Firefox or Chrome's developer tools to see what's going on when that store attempts to load itself. My hunch is that your url is incorrect and should be url: '/api' because RadMobApp is probably your app root.

I'm trying to create an order using JS. I've authenticated my app and have a function that POST's to orders.json. I see a status code of 200, indicating that the request submitted OK (right?) but the order itself never gets created. I've heard something about disabling cookies in my request, but I don't know how to do that, so if that's what I need to do please let me know.
I'm putting up my entire function, since I'm new to this entire thing and it seems that it's probably the structure of my request, not the API call. I'm seeing the "Error" log in the console, so clearly the error function is running.
function submitShuffle(prodid)
{
console.log(prodid);
var params = {
"order": {
"line_items": [
{
"variant_id": prodid,
"quantity": 1
}
]
}
};
$.ajax({
type: 'POST',
url: 'https://<my-usrnam>:<my-pass>#toyboxshufflesandbox.myshopify.com/admin/orders.json',
dataType: 'application/json',
data: params,
success: function(data){
console.log(data);
},
error: function(data){
console.log("Error");
console.log(data);}
});
}
You cannot retrieve information from Shopify Admin API by AJAX. There is a limitation about this because you have to expose your username/key and password which is not a good idea.
You have to use some service/app or just to create a custom app.
Shopify returns an Object when you make a call. Hence 200 OK status. Inspect the object returned. A failed create POST object will not have an ID. So there is clue number one. Secondly, you'll see that Shopify tells you what the problem was in the Error key of the returned object. If you cannot figure out what you did with the message from Shopify, make the same call to the GraphQL endpoint if you can, as the error messages Shopify returns from those endpoints are currently much better. They are backporting them to the older REST API, but for now, GraphQL is more expressive.
Consuming Mashape Airbnb API:
The following sits inside the Clients->airbnb.js file.
My Results are undefined. But using the same API, http://jsfiddle.net/ismaelc/FZ5vG/
works just fine.
function getListings(place) {
alert(place);
Meteor.http.call("GET", "https://airbnb.p.mashape.com/s",
{params : {location:place},
headers : {"X-Mashape-Authorization":"ffnGO1suGtJEjqgz4n7ykeuCbDP1hexv"}},
function (error, result) {
$('#listings').html(EJSON.stringify(result.data));
console.log("Status: "+result.statusCode);
console.log("Content: "+result.statusCode);
console.log("data: "+EJSON.stringify(result.data));
console.log("error: "+error.message);
}
);
}
Template.where.events ({
'click #find': function(event){
var place = $('#location').val();
getListings(place);
}
});
My Google Chrome Web Developers Tool is giving me odd HTTP Response.

Also, I momentarily see my console.log and then it just disappears. Why is this?
You can use the network tab in the chrome dev kit, make sure its already open before you do the request and it should just add on and you can view its text content to find where its all going wrong.
The response tab should have the text it gets back:
Of note is just check your api you might need to use params (HTTP POST params) instead of data (JSON post in the body), e.g {params : {location:place}.
I am getting data through $.ajax multiple times. However the data is not getting refreshed in every call. Rather I am getting the same data in every call to $.ajax. The code was working properly at my home.
However in below code if I substitute console.log("success "); with console.log("success "+data); and observe in chrome console, then the code works fine. I suspect its a caching issue, but can figure it out.
function getDataJSON()
{
originalData="";
new Date().toString();
$.ajax({
url: 'data.php', //the script to call to get data
data: "", //you can insert url argumnets here to pass to api.php
success: function(data)
{
console.log("success ");
...

Thanks
you can set cache Cache. by default it will set to cache=true.
from DOCS
If set to false, it will force requested pages not to be cached by the
browser. Note: Setting cache to false will only work correctly with
HEAD and GET requests. It works by appending "_={timestamp}" to the
GET parameters. The parameter is not needed for other types of
requests, except in IE8 when a POST is made to a URL that has already
been requested by a GET.
$.ajax({
url:'url',
cache:false,
.....
})
Like #Ravi said cache priperty is you're frined.
You should realy spend more time on studying you're weapon of choice!
Link => first hit on google if you search jquery ajax
There is another method of preventing caching. Just append some random number to url you are accessing.
For example:
"www.url.com?" + new Date().getTime()
or
"www.url.com?" + Math.random()

I'm having a problem with loading a Sencha store. My store declaration is like this:
Ext.regModel('Car',{
idProperty: 'id',
fields: [
//'id', 'company', 'driver', 'carType','xCoordinate','yCoordinate'
{name: 'id', type: 'int'},
{name:'company', type:'string'} ,
{name:'driver', type:'string'},
{name:'carType', type:'string'},
{name:'xCoordinate', type:'int'},
{name:'yCoordinate', type:'int'}
]
});
var strr= new Ext.regStore({
id:'carStore',
model:'Car', //configuration option is the cars
proxy: {
type: 'ajax',
url: 'http://localhost:8080/A/carStore.html&callback=?',
reader: {
type: 'json',
root: 'carss'
},
},
autoLoad: true
});
And I'm keeping the store in a list:
CarManagementSystem.views.carList = new Ext.List({
id: 'carList',
store: 'carStore',
onItemDisclosure: function (record) {
var selectedCar = record;
CarManagementSystem.views.addNewCar.load(selectedCar);
CarManagementSystem.views.viewport.setActiveItem('addNewCar', { type: 'slide', direction: 'left' });
},
itemTpl: '<div class="list-item-id">{id}</div>' +'<div class="list-item-driver">{driver}</div>'
});
However, when I try to load the list with my JSON file, I get this error:
XMLHttpRequest cannot load http://localhost:8080/A/carStore.html&callback=?&_dc=1311751412006&limit=25. Origin null is not allowed by Access-Control-Allow-Origin.
sencha-touch-debug.js:7212

I'm keeping my JSON file in an html format and it is kept in the server. I'd appreciate any help.
Thanks!
You are encountering the classic CORS issue.
It's a browser security, called web-security. If you are in dev mode, you can run Chrome and disabling this flag. But if you run your app in production on a browser, you will need to bypass this ajax specification restriction.
To bypass it, you can use proxys (such as creating a back-end script on the same domain will load for you the resource) or you can use JSON-P. For this you will need to change your store to a script tag BUT ALSO you will need the server to be able to detect a callback param and send it to you as a JS function automatically executed when inserted in the DOM.
I will add that you won't have this issue when running in Phonegap because PhoneGap is not running a web server but serves files with the file:// protocol.
If you want to learn more, and I recommand as it is a common pb when developing mobile web apps, you should learn what JSON-P is, what CORS is, and how it works.
You can't hit a port number (8080) when making an AJAX request. If you end up needing a cross-domain request change your proxy type to 'scripttag'.
You should change the proxy type from 'ajax' to 'type: 'scripttag'
I'm using an ajax call to do a minor calculation then return the value and display it in the page same page where the form is submitted. In Firebug it says it calls the function, however doesn't get a response. (I have a similar form that writes to a database that works fine, seemingly because it doesn't need a response - firebug says it fails to get a response on that script as well.) The odd thing is that I wrote this on my local server before implementing it on the site and everything worked as planned. I'm using Code Igniter on both the local server and the web server, but I don't know if that has something to do with it. Anyways, any help would be great. I'm marginally new so this is kinda outta my realm at this moment.
Thanks

}

Could it be that the request is being made cross-domain? Remember that mydomain.com is considered a different domain to www.mydomain.com.
I ran into a similar situation recently. I requested a page from mydomain.com which made an AJAX request to a script on www.mydomain.com. The request was not made because it was considered cross-domain. It had the same symptoms that you describe. In Firebug and Chrome Developer Console I saw an empty response and no error message.
The problem is that CodeIgniter generates absolute URLs based on the $config['base_url'] setting. If you access the site using a different domain name to what is configured in $config['base_url'] you can run into this type of problem.
This works on the dev and not on the server because you are calling localhost!
// this will have the client call itself on this particular page (wont work)
url: "http://localhost:8888/CodeIgniter_1.7.2/index.php/timevalueshow/submit",
The above code should be just:
// this is relative to the document ROOT, will work on server but not on dev!
// you can set it relative to the calling page using ../ as needed
url: "/index.php/timevalueshow/submit",
