You should really go accept some answer, you will get much better results.
Anyhow, when in doubt you should check the Joomla documentation. This is for a component, but it should get you in the right direction.

Setting the correct xpath

I'm trying to set the right xpath for using RSelenium, but I'm not very experienced in this area, so any help would be much appreciated.
Since I'm not allowed to post pictures yet I have tried to add a link to a screenshot of the html:
The html
I need R to scrape the dates (28-10-2020 - 13-11-2020), but so far I have not been able to set the correct xpath when using html.nodes.
I'm trying to scrape from sites like this one: https://www.boligsiden.dk/adresse/topperne-9-3-33-2620-albertslund-01650532___9__3__33
I usually do this on python rather than R
As you can see in this image when you right-click on the element concerned. You get a drop-down menu with an x-path to the element.
Other than that, the site orientation and x-path might change and a full x-path might be a good option in the short-run, so I rather prefer driver.find_element_by_xpath('//button[contains(text(),"Login")]')\ .click()
In your case which would be find_element_by_xpath('//*[contains(#class, 'u-pb-4 u-block')]')
I hope this helps and it is mostly the same across different languages

Backend Product Info Grid Modificaiton

I want to create a new text field right under the SKU text field in the Product Information > General tab and populate it with the product's attribute set value. What I want can be seen in the picture below.
Unfortunately, for the past 4 hours I have been trying to locate the file that includes the code which produces the specific layout but so far I had no luck. I 'd be really grateful if anyone could give me a heads up.
Thank you for your time!
Enable backend path hints to find out which file it is. You can do it this way.
http://www.classyllama.com/development/magento-development/enable-templateblock-hints-in-admin-panel
Please note this is basically hacking. A better way to do it would be to follow something like this

It's up to you, speed or do it the right way. Goodluck

magento catalogsearch search for all products (like a view all brands page )

For a project I need to make a kind of view all manufactures page, I am hoping to use catalogsearch but without any parameters. What I mean is the normal catalogsearch is ran and all shoes in all manufacture categories are returned.
The url that is normally passed is testshop.com//catalogsearch/result/index/?manufacturer=2522&q=shoe%20manufactures this works but when I try to pass testshop.com//catalogsearch/result/index/? (or along those lines) this does not work.
I have not started coding this yet as I am not sure where to begin so need a point in the right direction.
I am thinking of just finding the default category id and using this, but not sure if this is the best option to use.
Any advice or help will be great as always. Will post my finished code on here once complete as I think with magento help can be a bit limited.
Cheers
Jason
Maybe try getting the search Model pragmatically
Here is the code to get the Search model:
$search = Mage::getSingleton('catalogsearch/advanced');
To actually search put in the following:
$search = Mage::getSingleton('catalogsearch/advanced')->addFilters(array('name' => $term));
Then to get the results in an object, enter the following line:
$search->getProductCollection();
Hope this helps
I did it. It was a bit of a hack but works perfectly.
I noticed that if you make a search and remove all the filters you are left with a GET request that look something like this /catalogsearch/result/index/?q=Shoe+Brand . But the filters where not showing on the left hand side as a normal catalogsearch would.
So I found the default category id and added this to the GET request. The GET request now looked like this /catalogsearch/result/index/?cat=2&q=Shoe+Brand .
Although the GET request included q=Shoe+Brand it was not actually using this as search criteria.
This was now returning a catalogsearch page with the default category as a filter.
This was showing default category in the filter and breadcrumbs so I had to change the appropriate phtml files to check for this and display 'all brands' instead of 'default category'.
Hope this helps someone else

Link to a specific image/slide in gallerific

I'm having problems with something which seems like an easy task, and most probably a stupid question. It will probably be my all time low experience in programming but I would really appreciate any help!
I'm using Galleriffic to display my portfolio site, and I am looking for a way to directly link to an image+description not being the first in the gallery. I would like it to link from other webpages, or from plain text/pdf documents.
In short, I would like it to link to a webaddress of slide 5 with something like:
Slide 5
but doing it this way obviously doesn't work.
Although others have tried to explain:
https://stackoverflow.com/a/7910501/1074297
jquery cycle link from external page to specific slide?
I can not seem to accomplish it, and it does not help at all that I am not a programmer.
not sure if it is too late, have been search the solutions for whole day, final found out the example 4 in the official website actually make the #link show on the address....so you can actually link the specific image ('slide'') from external page...amazing!!!!!
check this out
http://www.twospy.com/galleriffic/example-4.html#5
You can find the script after all the or just before ... and place it to your template...it works well for me, hope it helps, good luck

Joomla : Which module is this part of?

I am working on Joomla 1.5 right now and was wondering if there is a way to figure out, from the UI, on which module this is part of ? Eg, there is a picture viewer on the home page and I want to know which module is triggering it.
I do it the hard way no, where I goto all modules and check if each had anything to do with it. But was wondering if there is an easier, faster way.
Thank you :)
In Joomla 1.5 you can simply add ?tp=1 to the url to force the system to show you the template positions. You should just about be able to make out the name of the position in question. From there go to the module manager and filter the list by position.
It shouldn't be too difficult to figure out - the module will have rotator, slideshow or similar in its name/type.
It is probably set to show on the home menu item only too.
In my experience, this is an issue with most CMS - Drupal, Wordpress, and Joomla included. And it can be very frustrating. My approach is normally:
Search the module listing for something likely. So, in your example, I'd search for 'picture', 'viewer' 'gallery', etc. and, hopefully, a likely-looking modue would turn up in the listing. Usually, viewing its settings screen makes it obvious whether that module is the relevant one or not.
If that fails, I usually look at the source (easiest with firebug), and identify something that is likely to be fairly unique - e.g. a class name or a specific attribute in the markup. Once I have that, I resort to find/grep on the command line to identify the origin.
If you find yourself with a lot of extensions, and this becomes a regular problem, you could think about modifying templates to include a comment that identifies their module.
