Please explain what this Syncsort code does? - sorting

The below code was in a proc which is included in my job under the DD name sort.controls.
This step was executed with the sort program, Syncsort. I can understand that the START in the below code indicates the starting position of the field used for sorting and LENGTH denotes the length of the field for sorting. But I can't understand what is ID TYPECODE=1. Can anyone please explain this?
ID TYPECODE=1,LRECL=00302,FORMAT=FB
CF1 START=00038,LENGTH=023

ID Type code 1 is system-specific. In my experience it normally means it's a disk file vs a cart or carddata or something but I'd have to know more about your environment.
LRECL is the defined length of the record for that file (302 bytes)
Format=FB means it is Fixed Block - the length is always 302 bytes and does not vary.
Hopefully that's helpful.

My flow fails for no reason: Invalid Template Language? This is what I do

Team,
Occasionally my flow fails and its enough test it manually to running again. However, I want to avoid that this error ocurrs again to stay in calm.
The error that appears is this:
Unable to process template language expressions in action 'Periodo' inputs at line '0' and column '0': 'The template language function 'split' expects its first parameter to be of type string. The provided value is of type 'Null'. Please see https://aka.ms/logicexpressions#split for usage details.'.
And it appears in 2 of the 4 variables that I create:
Client and Periodo
The variable Clientlooks this:
The same scenario to "Periodo".
The variables are build in the same way:
His formula:
trim(first(split(first(skip(split(outputs('Compos'),'client = '),1)),'indicator')))
His formula:
trim(first(split(first(skip(split(outputs('Compos'),'period = '),1)),'DATA_REPORT_DELIVERY')))
The same scenario to the 4 variables. 4 of them strings (numbers).
Also I attached email example where I extract the info:
CO NIV ICE REFRESCOS DE SOYA has finished successfully.CO NIV ICE REFRESCOS DE SOYA
User
binary.struggle#mail.com
Parameters
output = 7
country = 170
period = 202204012
DATA_REPORT_DELIVERY = NO
read_persistance = YES
write_persistance = YES
client = 18277
indicator_group = SALES
Could you give some help? I reach some attepmpts succeded but it fails for no apparent reason:
Thank you.
I'm not sure if you're interested but I'd do it a slightly different way. It's a little more verbose but it will work and it makes your expressions a lot simpler.
I've just taken two of your desired outputs and provided a solution for those, one being client and the other being country. You can apply the other two as need be given it's the same pattern.
If I take client for example, this is the concept.
Initialize Data
This is your string that you provided in your question.
Initialize Split Lines
This will split up your string for each new line. The expression for this step is ...
split(variables('Data'), '\n')
However, you can't just enter that expression into the editor, you need to do it and then edit in in code view and change it from \\n to \n.
Filter For 'client'
This will filter the array created from the split line step and find the item that contains the word client.
`contains(item(), 'client')`
On the other parallel branches, you'd change out the word to whatever you're searching for, e.g. country.
This should give us a single item array with a string.
Initialize 'client'
Finally, we want to extract the value on the right hand side of the equals sign. The expression for this is ...
trim(split(body('Filter_For_''client''')[0], '=')[1])
Again, just change out the body name for the other action in each case.
I need to put body('Filter_For_''client''')[0] and specify the first item in an array because the filter step returns an array. We're going to assume the length is always 1.
Result
You can see from all of that, you have the value as need be. Like I said, it's a little more verbose but (I think) easier to follow and troubleshoot if something goes wrong.

how to convert hash+string to number in free marker

I'm struggling to convert hash+string to number in free marker. How I can resolve this issue:
<#assign varnetweight = varitem.varquantity * example.examplevar />
or "*" right-hand operand: Expected a number, but this has evaluated to a hash+string (wrapper: com.netledger.templates.model.StringModel):
The error message is quite clear: you need two numbers for your multiplication.
I tested your configuration with https://try.freemarker.apache.org/:
This configuration is working as you access a number with example.examplevar.
Here you don't access a number but another data structure that cannot be resolved to a number:
So please provide your complete data for us to see why it is wrong. Or maybe this already helps you.

What API / Database Does Elasticsearch Use to Generate Random ENV Names

When launching new 'unnamed' elasticsearch nodes (?) I see a unique name displayed in the debugging output, in this case the node is called: Riot, other gems include: "Oneg the Prober"
org.elasticsearch.env: [Riot] max file descriptors [10240] for elasticsearch process likely too low, consider increasing to at least [65536]
There is always a clever unique name coming from somewhere? I've looked for this line in the source-code and can only find a reference to Locale.ROOT - but I cannot find the call to fetch a new unique name and I think they're always funny and would like to use a similar generator (:
The list of names is in elastic/elasticsearch/core/src/main/resources/config/names.txt
That file was removed, in the context of making node names persistent. The change was merged to master in 2016, quite some time before this question was asked.
You can find "Riot" on line 2131 and "Oneg the Prober" on line 1898.
Came across this list which has 2938 character names being used, not sure if this is the original source.

Correlating multiple dynamic values

How can I get the value of important id and ValueType?
I have tried using web_save_param_regexp (but unfortunately I don't fully understand how the function works).
I have also tried using web_save_param (with the help of offset and length).
unfortunately once again I cannot get the accurate value some values change in length specially when the total amount values dynamically changes per run.
<important id=\"insertsomevalueshere\" record=\"1\" nucTotal=\"NUC609.40\"><total amount=\"68.75\" currency=\"USD\"/><total amount=\"609.40\" currency=\"USD\"/><out avgsomecost=\"540.65\" ValueType=\"insertsomevalueshere\" containsawesomeness=\"1\" Score=\"-97961\" somedatatype=\"1\" typeofData=\"VAL\" web=\"1\">
Put these lines of code before the line of code which does your web request:
web_reg_save_param_regexp("ParamName=importantid","Regexp=<important id=\\\"(.*?)\\\"",LAST);
web_reg_save_param_regexp("ParamName=ValueType","Regexp= ValueType=\\\"(.*?)\\\"",LAST);
You will then have two stored parameters 'importantid' and 'ValueType'
Dynamic number of elements to correlate? Your path for resubmission is through web_custom_request(). You will need to build the string you need dynamically with the name:value pairs for all of the data which needs to be included.
This path will place a premium on your string manipulation skills in the language of the tool. The default path is through C, but you have other language options if your skills are more refined in another language.

Generate code in code_128 format from another code

I have a list of the following codes and their corresponding codes in format code_128. I want to given a string, be able to generate the corresponging code in CODE_128 format. Based on this list, how could I generate a code_128 number to the string A4Y9387VY34, for example?

I read a lot about it, but I didn't come to any solution. Thanks in advance!!
Well, this is a pretty open question, I will give you my suggestions:
If it is a finite list, you can use a Hash or a Dictionary, where
the keys are the Codes and map them to the corresponding value, in
your case, Code_128
Some scanners have software installed that allow you to change what
has been read to a new value, format it, etc.
If you need a bigger insight please, give us more detail about the environment you are using.
Hope that helps,
I decided to create a new answer because now I get your point. Well, if you are talking about a GS1-128 Code (please see www.gs1.org) please do not start without visiting Wikipedia info about it. as you can see, there is a thorough explanation about how to work with that type of code. That code is composed by several application identifiers followed by their corresponding values. There is a better way of encoding them by using special characters as parenthesis. Here is other info that may help you.
Hope it helps,
