Cannot create or save in k2 v2.5 in.5 joomla 1.7.3?
I am having a problem with K2 especially when it comes to creating categories and articles. The SAVE, SAVE&CLOSE or SAVE&NEW buttons in the administration part of the site don't seem to be working. When you click on them they do nothing. The only thing working is the CANCEL button.
Dunno if this help, but at least it helped getting the save button work.
"As suggested if you are using joomla 1.7 and k2 2.5.5 go to joomla admin > Extensions > Plugin Manager > Disable "Smart Search - K2" plugin."

I think its installation problem , you know was there any problem when you installing k2 component? (installation problem mainly based in folder permission issue in ftp),
I do k2 component.
Thanks

I'm trying to migrate from Joomla 2.5 to Joomla 3. To do so, i follow Joomla 2.5 to 3.x Step by Step Migration on docs.joomla.org. But i have a weird problem that i fail to solve by myself.
There is step:
Go to Components → Joomla Update. (It should say no updates found. If it doesn’t, update Joomla to the latest version and test. Then do another backup.) Click on the Options button at the top right corner.
Problem is, i have no Options button shown there.
Can somebody explain me why? And what should i do?
I tried to clear cache of browser, purge cache in control panel and reinstalled stable Joomla 2.5 package. Problem was present. Thanks in advance
Not sure why the options button is missing but you can browse to the Joomla Update Component options directly via:
http://yourwebsite.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_config&view=component&component=com_joomlaupdate
Once you have updated to Joomla 3.x hopefully the option button will reappear.
I have migrated Joomla 1.5.26 site to Joomla 2.5 using upgrade.
After migration i got all my articles, menu and menu items.
But i am not able to see any article on site though they are assign to menu items in backed.
I compare all modules, categories and all to my 1.5 site and all data is as it is maintain in 2.5 migrated.
Still I am not able to see my articles on site. Need help
Just a guess, but try to go to menu management, select all menu items and then click Rebuild button on top.
If that doesn't help, you should check if your template is migrated properly.
I am using joomla 1.5.I wanted to add some youtube link to the article so i switched to no editor mode and made changes that worked for me.when i turned back to TinyMCE it still shows articles in HTML mode for all articles in the article manager.how do i switch back to earlier no Html simple text edit mode???
problem solved: I disabled No Editor from plugin manager. Now its switched to default editor
I suggest you to upgrade your joomla version as joomla 1.5 has no support and security updates.
download component JCE Editor . install it and make it default
it should fix your problem and it's much more better than tynyMce

I got a problem I really cant solve. I am trying to create a menu with an single article in Joomla 2.5, but it wont show the article.
I have created a main menu with some menus which are set to single article, and I have created some articles, which I've added to the specific menu items, it has no problems saving the menu, but when I reload the page, there is no article/text/picture.
Does some one have any idea why this is happening?
Make sure article is published. Even if it won't work. Just on error reporting n see what exactly error is getting about & find the solution.
It seems like a SEF issue.
Say your menu is published under the SEF url /fun/jokes.html: if the SEF plugin is not enabled Joomla might be looking for your pictures in /fun/images/... instead of /images/...
Just head to the administrator / plugin, search for SEF (system - SEF plugin) and enable it.
Clear the cache and it should start working.
I have found the problem. Under my profil for the template, "System Output" whas set to "no". Changed it to "yes" and it shows all my article.
But thanks for your efforts
i'm working on a joomla 1.5 with virtuemart 1.1.8. I'm not an experienced user of joomla, and one of my modifications exited the virtuemart page "shop.registration" (register page) out of the theme's layout : i miss the header and the footer.
Did anyone know how joomla and virtuemart templating system works ? It's my first use of virtuemart, and the 2nd of joomla.
Thanks.
Virtuemart prior to version 2.x does not use the Joomla! template system, instead it uses it's own "themes" mechanism which is frankly horrible. The main problem is that most people hack the standard theme and then when and update comes along it get over-written by the update.
You can still read about the old 1.1.x style of themes on the Virtuemart Developer documentation website.
Also, you should update to Virtuemart 1.1.9 as it includes some serious fixes.
