I'm trying to migrate from Joomla 2.5 to Joomla 3. To do so, i follow Joomla 2.5 to 3.x Step by Step Migration on docs.joomla.org. But i have a weird problem that i fail to solve by myself.
There is step:
Go to Components → Joomla Update. (It should say no updates found. If it doesn’t, update Joomla to the latest version and test. Then do another backup.) Click on the Options button at the top right corner.
Problem is, i have no Options button shown there.
Can somebody explain me why? And what should i do?
I tried to clear cache of browser, purge cache in control panel and reinstalled stable Joomla 2.5 package. Problem was present. Thanks in advance
Not sure why the options button is missing but you can browse to the Joomla Update Component options directly via:
http://yourwebsite.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_config&view=component&component=com_joomlaupdate
Once you have updated to Joomla 3.x hopefully the option button will reappear.

Please help me!
There are two reasons for this problem to happen:
One (or more) core JavaScript files was (were) hacked.
You have recently installed an extension (typically a global system plugin) that created a conflict between JavaScript libraries
Try disabling, from phpMyAdmin, the recently installed plugin(s). Also try overriding all your core Joomla files with a fresh copy of Joomla.
Also make sure you delete your browser cache!
1- Go to yoursite/administrator/index.php
2- In the left side menu, most probably in Maintenance part ... checking joomla is stuck (probably some files damaged)
3- Select reinstall joomla core files.
I would like to add two new menus to my website, but when I create, or even edit a menu and click Save, Save & Close and Save & New nothing happens.
With Firebug I get
ReferenceError: Hash is not defined
What should I do?
There's a thread here where people have the same problem, and it suggests just clearing your browser's cache fixes it.

That would make sense if you have recently upgraded it and Joomla have updated a javascript file from the previous version.
If not, might be worth seeing if it works in other browsers, to see if it is a Joomla or a similar browser issue.
Failing that, re-install the latest version to make sure you haven't overridden any core files.
I have migrated Joomla 1.5.26 site to Joomla 2.5 using upgrade.
After migration i got all my articles, menu and menu items.
But i am not able to see any article on site though they are assign to menu items in backed.
I compare all modules, categories and all to my 1.5 site and all data is as it is maintain in 2.5 migrated.
Still I am not able to see my articles on site. Need help
Just a guess, but try to go to menu management, select all menu items and then click Rebuild button on top.
If that doesn't help, you should check if your template is migrated properly.
I upgraded my website from Joomla 1.5 to 2.5.4, however, the menus seem to have disappeared. I was using a 1.5-only template previously, but the jUpgrade process has defaulted to pre-installed templates which is fine - but no menus! I've tried installing a few random other templates but all have the same issue.
FWIW most of the menu links are broken but I fixed a couple just to check, but no joy. The migrated site is still in its subpath which is I assume why components themselves aren't working.
As best I can tell, I followed the instructions in the Wiki on the Joomla site.
Any ideas? Thanks.

The most likely cause is that the menus were displayed in module positions specific to the template you were using in Joomla! 1.5 and that your Joomla! 2.5 template doesn't have matching positions. Alternatively the migration process didn't update the menu module positions properly and it's looking for the positions in a specific template.
Open Extensions->Module Manager then from the Filter options select Type->Menu to see just a list of menu modules. Check the positions they're assigned to by opening the menu module and selecting a position by actually clicking on the "Select Position" button and clicking on the right position in the currently used template.
To help make the choice easy you can filter down the options by selecting your current template from the pop-up menu in the top right of the "Select Position" lightbox that opened when you clicked "Select Position".
jUpgrade does not transfer the menu items from 1.5 to 2.5 properly. Those have to be recreated.
Cannot create or save in k2 v2.5 in.5 joomla 1.7.3?
I am having a problem with K2 especially when it comes to creating categories and articles. The SAVE, SAVE&CLOSE or SAVE&NEW buttons in the administration part of the site don't seem to be working. When you click on them they do nothing. The only thing working is the CANCEL button.
Dunno if this help, but at least it helped getting the save button work.
"As suggested if you are using joomla 1.7 and k2 2.5.5 go to joomla admin > Extensions > Plugin Manager > Disable "Smart Search - K2" plugin."

I think its installation problem , you know was there any problem when you installing k2 component? (installation problem mainly based in folder permission issue in ftp),
I do k2 component.
Thanks
