how to find theme/template used by site created using Joomla - joomla

I would like to know the theme that is used by some website.
E.g. I would like to know the theme that is used by this site (reference).
What are the steps to find the theme/template that is used by xyz site.

Speaking about Joomla specifically, it has a folder named templates in which templates are kept. I usually find out about the templates using
The path (for joomla it would be /templates/(Theme Name)/style.css)
By viewing source of the CSS files. A number of sites leave the template meta data untouched in there.
However, if the designer changes the template directory name or removes the meta data from within the css files or builds his/her own css from ground up. There wont be much left to identify the template. Hence you will have to do it the hard way , by identifying the CMS used and then browsing thru CMS specific templates. :)
Hope this helps you!

You can just open Firebug, inspect the page and it will some up with a few relevant links that will show you the template that is being used.
For example for the Pizza Hut website you provided:
*http://www.pizzahut.fr/skin/frontend/pizza_new/default/favicon.ico*

Joomla! 1.5.x sites
<meta name="generator" content="Joomla! 1.5 - Open Source Content Management" />
Joomla! 1.0.x sites
<meta name="Generator" content="Joomla! - Copyright (C) 2005 - 2007 Open Source Matters. All rights reserved." />
Type "/administrator" in the address bar after the URL.
http://sitename/administrator or http://sitename/index.php/administrator
Type "?tp=1" after the url.You can view the template layout
http://www.joomla.org/?tp=1
You can view plugin/system/ or plugin/content/ in the source.
http://sitename/plugins/system/plg_jausersetting/script.js
css file path /templete/themename/style.css
http://sitename/templates/colette/css/template.css

How to integrate metronic theme with DNN9?

We have a DNN9 platform for our Business2Business website. It has basic look of reports however we wanted to show some advance look to reports and charts so that we are planning to integrate metronic theme in DNN9. I tried multiple ways to do it but failed. kindly help regarding this for the same.
Not sure what you have tried but we succeeded in displaying reports module data using Mandeeps Porto css and boostrap classes.
We achieved this using the xsl stylesheet option in reports module settings.
If the theme resources are part of your portal skin on the page that the reports module resides then xsl elements will display fine. If not part of the portal theme, you can either declare the resource in page setting header or in the xsl stylesheet itself.
Hope this helps

Hugo: adding more pages to single-page themes

Hugo is a general purpose website framework and a static site generator. However, most of the themes are single page themes.
Is it possible to add more pages to these single-page themes in Hugo?
I am specifically interested in the Dimension theme.
Thank you very much for your help.
This depends on how the theme is constructed. In Dimension's case, the answer is no - you can add new markdown files to your content folder, but they will only be rendered on the index page, not as their own individual pages. If you want to generate multiple pages, you will have to either edit the theme or choose a new theme that supports multiple pages.
To edit the theme, see the docs on customising a theme and creating a theme. You will also need to know Hugo templates, so the go template primer is an essential read. Editing themes can be a little tricky, but if you have worked with other templating languages then it is not too much different.
In your case, you will want to edit layouts/_default/single.html to create a single-page view for all of your markdown files. You will also need to edit layouts/index.html to link to them from the index page, otherwise no-one will find them.
Hugo is not just a general purpose website framework/generator. I have been using it for article publishing, news website and to generate a blog! Most of the themes are single pages because people created themes in the way they love. Although still in development, you can check my website Desktop Luxury that is fully static and built with hugo. It's super fast, supports AMP and users just love it. They can't tell the difference between Wordpress sites and Desktopluxury.com in terms of look. Note: The difference is clearly visible in terms of load time, speed and customization ability!
Although it varies by theme, you can easily create a .md (file that contains content - similar to .html*) file out of your blog folder. For example, you want to create an About page. In the root folder that contains your hugo files, create a directory root/content/blog. Add permalinks to your config file that tells the theme to categorize files present in /root/content/blog folder as the blog files. Create the pages such as an about.md & contact.md in root/content folder. They won't show in the blog list, however, they'll be rendered and accessed by siteurl.xyz/about or siteurl.xyz/contact.
*I said .md file similar to .html file as the OP seems new to webdevelopment.
EDIT:
Final homepage after adding few posts
I just downloaded the theme mentioned in the question, added few .md files by opening CMD in the root directory of Hugo website folder and running command ~~ $ hugo new professional.md ~~
Created various pages and added content in them just like we write articles. I achieved the result you wanted with no issue at all. It was super easy!

Fishpig's Magento WP Integration -- WP not using Magento Theme/Package

I've successfully installed Fishpig's Magento WordPress Integration extension. I followed the instructions where you install via Magento Connect and had no problems. This is by the way all on the development server which does not have Caching or Compiling enabled.
The Magento cart is installed in the webroot directory and WordPress is in subdirectory "wp" as stated in Fishpig's instructions. The Full Integration blog path is /blog.
PROBLEM:
When I visit the blog's page it is not using the Magento theme. I even set it to use the same layout (same as CMS's homepage) We have a custom Magento theme. Maybe there is something we are doing incorrectly Magento theme wise for Fishpig's extension not to work. Screenshots to come eventually but the host (DataGram) is down due to the flooding Downtown. Should be back hopefully today.
To clarify... WordPress is using its own database. In the Shop's admin panel->WordPress tab I setup Full Integration and set the path to "wp" and the blog path is blog.
So, now if I visit for example... example.com you are in the shop and if you visit example.com/blog you are in the fully integrated blog.
Bottom line is it seems to be configured fine in the admin panel. I am not requesting the blog page from the wp directory (I.E: example.com/wp) but from the fully integrated page (example.com/blog).
Our problem could be similar to what this person is experiencing:
Magento - FishPig Integration - Not getting correct template for /blog
Have a great weekend all!
Best Regards,
George
Huzzah looks like I got things working :-)
The culprit was that this file:
"app/design/frontend/default/eboost/layout/wordpress.xml"
^^ was pointing to the wrong template filename. Corrected and was good to go. Modified line was number 66.
Funny thing is that on the top of that XML file it states:
"
Option 1 - local.xml (recommended)
Create a file named local.xml in your custom theme's layout folder. You can then make changes to the layout there by
using the relevant layout handle. This allows you to leave this file intact and recieve new features
when upgrading the extension.
Option 2 - copy this file
Copy this file and it's contents to a new file in your custom theme's layout folder named wordpress.xml.
Each time you upgrade, you will need to check with your copy of the file and
the copy in app/design/frontend/base/default/layout/wordpress.xml for changes and merge any you find"
Now, as stated in my Original Posting I installed FishPig extension using their instructions: http://fishpig.co.uk/wordpress-integration/docs/installation-and-configuration.html
^^ Therefore I don't know why it is setup using Option 2. That wordpress.xml is in our theme's layout directory.
.
.
.
I feel I should also state the other changes I did even though it doesn't seem like it contributed to making it work. Just doing for completeness:
-- Renamed the subdirectory /wp to /wordpress and changed all references to dev.eboost.com/wp to dev.eboost.com/wordpress within the DataBase using http://interconnectit.com/124/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/
-- Removed .htaccess from /wordpress folder
So bottom line is looks like it is working normally. We are now set for working on redesign for site.

Have a look at this.

I also used Fishpig and it is working.
What do you mean by visiting the blog page? Do you request the blog page from the wordpress directory?
If so, it doesn't change its design.
You have to request the blog within your shop.

What's the difference between a Magento theme and a Magento skin?

What's the difference between a Magento theme and a Magento skin? What's the relationshiop between these and a Magento module?
A theme is any combination of layout, template, locale and/or skin file(s) that create the visual experience...
A theme consists of any or all of the following:
Layout (located in app/design/frontend/your_interface/your_theme/layout/)
These are basic XML files that define block structure for different pages as well as control META information and page encoding.For in-depth look into layouts, read Intro to Layouts)
Templates (located in app/design/frontend/your_interface/your_theme/template/)
These are PHTML files that contain (X)HTML markups and any necessary PHP tags to create logic for visual presentation.
Locale (located in app/design/frontend/your_interface/your_theme/locale/)
These are simple text documents organized on a per language basis that contain translations for store copy.
Skins (located in skin/frontend/your_interface/your_theme/)
These are block-specific Javascript and CSS and image files that compliment your (X)HTML.

AbcPdf - document not applying CSS

This may be more of a tech support issue, but I'm wondering if any other developers have come across this:
I'm using Abcpdf in my ASP.NET code to generate a PDF from HTML. It works fine, but one user is generating PDFs that don't have the CSS applied (IE8, Adobe Acrobat latest version - same as everyone else). Since this is the only user complaining, I'm sure it's a local setting, but I can't figure out what would prevent the css from loading - a browser setting? An Acrobat setting?
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Perhaps an issue with different versions of Acrobat reader? I'd look into this.
This doesn't make a lot of sense because AbcPdf uses service side logic to create the PDF based on what methods you are using to create the document (ex. AddImageUrl vs drawing out the document manually, etc.).
For what it's worth the staff at WebSuperGoo (the vendor of AbcPdf) is great with replying to support questions such as this. I've run across a few edge cases with their product that they've always followed up with workarounds or alternatives to address in a timely manner.
make sure you have media="print" for the CSS style sheet! Just spent ages looking at this pulling my hair out and was about to email WebSuperGoo then that thought came to me.
just about to back out all the changes I've made to my code and test again but it looks like with EngineType.Gecko it needs to be media="print" where as with EngineType.MSHtml it can be media="screen".....
very odd but hope that helps someone!
Make sure that the CSS is an absolute URL rather than relative, or add a base tag to the header of the HTML
For example, rather than
<style type="text/css" href="/styles/somecss.css" rel="stylesheet" />
use
<style type="text/css" href="http://myserver.com/styles/somecss.css" rel="stylesheet" />
Also if you site is SSL or authenticated then you will have to either make the area with the stylesheet un-authenticated, or, set the password and username attributes of the PDF object so that ABCPdf can authenticate
You can try the following in version 9
doc.HtmlOptions.PageLoadMethod =
PageLoadMethodType.WebBrowserNavigate;
I am using Version 10 of ABCpdf and I found that the style sheet path should be absolute instead of relative.
I changed the stylesheet path from "C:\MyProject\Resources\Styles.css" to "http:\www.MyDomain.com\Resources\Styles.css" and it worked.
Although, version 6 seems to be working with relative paths. I didnot check it with other versions
As per WebSuperGoo support:
(Query # : 6.17)
HTML does not exist within a file and so it does not have a location.
External stylesheets and images are often referenced via relative URLs. Because the HTML has no location it is impossible to resolve
these relative references.
So you need to provide your stylesheet and image links as absolute references. Or you may be able to use the HTML BASE element to specify
an appropriate base location. Or you can save your HTML to file in an
appropriate location and then use AddImageUrl.
Have you tried;
theDoc.HtmlOptions.DoMarkup = true;
This forces the engine to process the HTML before rendering.
